Method for Road Vanishing Point Detection Using DNN and Hog Feature (DNN과 HoG Feature를 이용한 도로 소실점 검출 방법)

  • A vanishing point is a point on an image to which parallel lines projected from a real space gather. A vanishing point in a road space provides important spatial information. It is possible to improve the position of an extracted lane or generate a depth map image using a vanishing point in the road space. In this paper, we propose a method of detecting vanishing points on images taken from a vehicle's point of view using Deep Neural Network (DNN) and Histogram of Oriented Gradient (HoG). The proposed algorithm is divided into a HoG feature extraction step, in which the edge direction is extracted by dividing an image into blocks, a DNN learning step, and a test step. In the learning stage, learning is performed using 2,300 road images taken from a vehicle's point of views. In the test phase, the efficiency of the proposed algorithm using the Normalized Euclidean Distance (NormDist) method is measured.

A study on the value orientation of nursing unit managers and nursing organization performances (간호단위 관리자의 가치지향성 리더쉽유형과 간호조직성과의 관계)

  • Purpose : This study is to confirm the relation of the value orientation of the nursing unit manager and the job satisfaction and organizational commitment of the nursing unit nurse. Method : We used the systematic questionnaires as a study tool. The contents were composed of 46 questions in total such as 4 questions of general feature, 23 value-oriented questions, 10 job satisfaction questions, and 9 organizational commitment questions. The period of data collection was from August to September 2000. Result : 1) The value of flexibility was 3.82 points (${\pm}.3788$), which is above average. The values of equalitarianism was 3.37 points (${\pm}.4422$), which is above average. 2) The leadership pattern according to the value orientation perceived by the head nurses in 6 clusters has been divided into 3 patterns of change-oriented leader, task-oriented and stability-oriented leader. 3) The nurses who worked with the change-oriented leader showed higher values of job satisfaction (F=5.941, p=O.003), and affective commitment (F=5.793, p=O.003) than those who worked with the stability-oriented leader. Conclusion : As revealed in this study, we think that we have to consider that the change-oriented leader can produce higher performance of an organization than the stability-oriented leader, and write the basic data for the educational courses of leadership development or workshops etc. in order for the nursing unit managers to play their roles for the effective ward-unit management.

Multiple Pedestrians Tracking using Histogram of Oriented Gradient and Occlusion Detection (기울기 히스토그램 및 폐색 탐지를 통한 다중 보행자 추적)

  • In this paper, multiple pedestrians tracking system using Histogram of Oriented Gradient and occlusion detection is proposed. The proposed system is applicable to Intelligent Surveillance System. First, we detect pedestrian in a image sequence using pedestrian's feature. To get pedestrian's feature, we make block-histogram using gradient's direction histogram based on HOG(Histogram of Oriented Gradient), after that a pedestrian region is classified by using Linear-SVM(Support Vector Machine) training. Next, moving objects are tracked by using position information of the classified pedestrians. And we create motion trajectory descriptor which is used for content based event retrieval. The experimental results show that the proposed method is more fast, accurate and effective than conventional methods.

  • In this study, we introduce the pedestrian detection system by using the feature of HOG-PCA and RBFNNs pattern classifier. HOG(Histogram of Oriented Gradient) feature is extracted from input image to identify and recognize a object. And a dimension is reduced for improving performance as well as processing speed by using PCA which is a typical dimensional reduction algorithm. So, the feature of HOG-PCA through the dimensional reduction by using PCA leads to the improvement of the detection rate. FCM clustering algorithm is used instead of gaussian function to apply the characteristic of input data as well and connection weight is used by polynomial expression such as constant, linear, quadratic and modified quadratic. Finally, INRIA person database known as one of the benchmark dataset used for pedestrian detection is applied for the performance evaluation of the proposed classifier. The experimental result of the proposed classifier are compared with those studied by Dalal.

Korean Parsing Model using Various Features of a Syntactic Object (문장성분의 다양한 자질을 이용한 한국어 구문분석 모델)

  • In this paper, we propose a probabilistic Korean parsing model using a syntactic feature, a functional feature, a content feature, and a site feature of a syntactic object for effective syntactic disambiguation. It restricts grammar rules to binary-oriented form to deal with Korean properties such as variable word order and constituent ellipsis. In experiments, we analyze the parsing performance of each feature combination. Experimental results show that the combination of different features is preferred to the combination of similar features. Besides, it is remarkable that the function feature is more useful than the combination of the content feature and the size feature.

  • This paper proposes a method of using image features in serving a robot manipulator. Specifically, the con-cept 'feature' is first mathematically defined and then differential relationship between the robot motion and feature vector is derived in terms of Feature Jacobian Matrix and its generalized inverse. Also, by using more features than the number of DOFs of the robot, the visual servoing performance is shown to be improv-ed. Via various examples, the method of feature-based servoing of a robot proposed in this paper is proved to be effective for conducting object-oriented robotic tasks.

  • While the method of information collection and visual interface technique have been researched actively on web information retrieval, a study on structured modeling for effective classification of a wide collective information leaves to be desired. In this paper, we represent information feature based on structured information model. It aims at carrying out effectively the user's retrieval environment through visualization technique with analyzing the information feature. We propose a information classification method using Facet units and we construct the object model, table model, SQL code to define the relation of the information, and represent the information feature based on a wide range of views. After users gain a better global understanding of the information feature, retrieve more easily through their information. Conventional information retrieval is user-oriented to be what user want, but proposed technique it data-oriented which helps users to understand what exist in database by showing information feature.

  • 현재 4차 산업혁명으로 인해 많은 이들의 삶의 질이 이전보다 개선되었음에도 불구하고, 소외된 계층을 위한 개발은 타 분야에 비해서 더뎌지고 있는 실정이다. 현대의 청각 장애인과 언어 장애인들은 시각 언어인 수화를 이용하여 의사소통을 한다. 그러나 수화는 진입 장벽이 높기 때문에, 이를 사용하지 않는 사람들은 청각 장애인 및 언어 장애인과 의사소통을 하는데 어려움을 겪는다. 본 논문은 이러한 불편함을 줄이기 위해 서포트 벡터 머신(Support Vector Machine, SVM) 기반의 HOG(Histogram of Oriented Gradients) 특징 벡터를 이용하여 수화의 기본인 숫자를 분류할 수 있는 시스템을 구현하여 수화를 번역할 수 있는 가능성을 제안한다.

  • 현대 의학에서 의료 영상은 수많은 영상처리 의료기기의 핵심이다. PACS(Picture Archiving Communication System)를 통해 관리되는 의료 영상 자료들은 요청에 따라 저장, 검색 및 전송을 수행하여 신속한 의료 서비스를 가능하게 한다. 그러나 만약에 관리자의 실수로 의료 영상 데이터가 바뀐다면 이는 사용자로 하여금 불편함과 낮은 신뢰성을 야기한다. 그리하여 본 논문에서는 서포트 벡터 머신 기반의 HOG(Histogram of Oriented Gradients) 특징 벡터를 이용하여 X-ray와 MRI(Magnetic Resonance Imaging) 사진을 분류하고 의료 영상 분류의 가능성을 제시하는 것을 목표로 한다.

  • The design feature of KOMPSAT-2 simulator based on object oriented design methodology in terms of unified modeling language (UML) has been discussed in this paper. Also, we present how to embed flight software into the simulator. Flight software em-bedding for KOMPSAT-2 simulator is compared to that of the KOMPSAT-1 simulator.
