This paper introduces DICE, a Domain-Independent text Classification Engine. DICE is robust, efficient, and domain-independent in terms of software and architecture. Each module of the system is clearly modularized and encapsulated for extensibility. The clear modular architecture allows for simple and continuous verification and facilitates changes in multiple cycles, even after its major development period is complete. Those who want to make use of DICE can easily implement their ideas on this test bed and optimize it for a particular domain by simply adjusting the configuration file. Unlike other publically available tool kits or development environments targeted at general purpose classification models, DICE specializes in text classification with a number of useful functions specific to it. This paper focuses on the ways to locate the optimal states of a practical text classification framework by using various adaptation methods provided by the system such as feature selection, lemmatization, and classification models.

In In this study, technique has been suggested according to the calculation of thresholds of histogram based on overlap areas for reducing noise while analyzing the functions of them. Suggested algorithm is to convert histogram extracted from color images to gray level and select overlap areas from extracted histogram. In addition, feature table is configured after extracting histogram in the relevant overlap area while comparing and retrieving for query and database video images by using this feature table. Suggested retrieval system has been confirmed to be more outstanding with retrieval function in video images with more noises than the system that only used color histogram.

Visualization of 2D and 3D data, which arises from some scientific phenomena, physical model or mathematical formula, in the form of curve or surface view is one of the important topics in Computer Graphics. The problem gets critically important when data possesses some inherent shape feature. For example, it may have positive feature in one instance and monotone in the other. This paper is concerned with the solution of similar problems when data has convex shape and its visualization is required to have similar inherent features to that of data. A rational cubic function [5] has been used for the review of visualization of 2D data. After that it has been generalized for the visualization of 3D data. Moreover, simple sufficient constraints are made on the free parameters in the description of rational bicubic functions to visualize the 3D convex data in the view of convex surfaces.

This paper deals with the microcomputer realization of EMG pattern recognition system which provides identification of motion commands from the EMG signals for the on-line control of a prosthetic arm. A probabilistic model of pattern is formulated in the feature space of integral absolute value(IAV) to describe the relation between a motion command and the location of corresponding pattern. This model enables the derivation of sample density function of a command in the feature space of IAV. Classification is caried out through the multiclass sequential decision process, where the decision rule and the stopping rule of the process are designed by using the simple mathematical formulas defined as the likelihood probability and the decision measure, respectively. Some floating point algorithms such as addition, multiplication, division, square root and exponential function are developed for calculating the probability density functions and the decision measure. Only six primitive motions and one no motion are incorporated in this paper.

본 논문은 클라이언트/서버 응용 개발도구에서 원하는 정보를 자동으로 표현할 수 있는 자동표현(Auto Presentation) 기능의 설계 및 구현에 대한 것이다. 이러한 자동표현 기능은 먼저 표현하고자 하는 정보가 표현될 순서, 표현이 지속되는 시간, 표현 형태, 그리고 반복 회수를 편집한다. 그리고 설정된 순서에 따라 사용자의 간섭없이 이를 자동으로 표현하게 된다. 본 논문에서는 클라이언트/서버 응용 개발도구인 한우리/C에서 구현한 자동표현 기능에 대해서 기술한다. 한우리/C의 자동표현 기능은 데이타베이스에 있는 데이타를 자동으로 추출하여 표현할 수 있는 특징이 있다.

The rapid growth of camera technology can provide various types of information which was not previously provided. Furthermore, IP camera which has rapid data transfer rate and high resolution particularly provide a lot of useful functions beyond the existing simple surveillance capabilities. We are developing Real-Time Face Recognition Access Control System based on the camera technology, and improvement of face detection and recognition algorithms are vitally needed to realize that system. In this paper, we proposes a method to improve the computing speed and detection rate by adding new features to the existing Viola-Jones detection algorithm.

우리는 웹 브라우저 사용자의 편의성 향상을 목표로 4가지 편의 기능이 통합된 브라우저인 SERA Web-Viewer를 개발하였다. 편의 기능으로는 VPV(Visited Page Viewer), APV(Aligned Page Viewer), USC(User Specified Capture)등이 추가되었으며 UCC(User Created Content)의 핵심 기술인 FLV(FLash Video file) 변환을 위한 VAC(Video and Audio Converter)를 부가기능으로 통합하였다. 편의 기능들은 사용자들이 웹 브라우저를 사용하며 가장 필요로 하는 기능들로 웹브라우저의 사용 빈도가 잦고 사용 시간이 긴 고급 사용자들을 대상으로 조사된 바에 따랐다. 위의 네 가지 통합 기능에 대한 구현 상의 알고리즘과 기술을 제안하였고, 인터넷 익스플로러 6.0의 렌더링(rendering) 기술을 이용한 MDI application 기반의 구현 방법을 코드를 통해 설명한다. 구현된 결과를 134명의 컴퓨터학 또는 멀티미디어 공학을 전공하는 학생들을 대상으로 실시한 설문조사의 결과와 비교하여 통합된 편의 기능들이 웹 브라우저 사용자들에게 실질적으로 도움을 줄 수 있다는 것을 보인다.

Recently, the space organization of Korean-Chinese houses is different from that of other territories. The characteristics of eating and dinning space for Korean-Chinese Multi-family Housing are as follows ; ⅰ) The most obvious change in Korean-Chinese urban housing style was seen in kitchen space, which can be classify three types such as traditional type, improved type, and LDK type on the bases of heating and cooking method. ⅱ) Special feature of Korean-Chinese housing in Yanji city was that kitchen fulfilled important functions such as heating, cooking, dinning, sleeping, bathing and washing. Since then, each function was separated and functions of kitchen were cut down after all. iii) The arrangement of kitchen space have changeed according to the change of heating fuel, heating system, equipment, relatcd policy, etx. Multi-function kitchen discovered only in Yanji had lasted until 1980's by equipping heating floor system, which is suitable for sit-down living style. In 1990's, this kitchen style was prohibited legally, and the balcony area of kitchen widened due to the abolition of outdoor storehouse for foodstuff.

The best feature of Hotels is they have 24 business hours providing various services. But Interior designers can't change space to answer every demands, it's mood can be changed by lighting design. Especially guest rooms have complex functions like space with habitability and office use. Well planed lighting design in guest rooms is an essential element to help creating interior space in designer's intention with cozy feeling. Here this study is purposed to present a desirable lighting environment satisfying future-oriented function and design throughout the latest examples' analysis of guest room carrying out various functions in hotels.

This paper describes a motored wheelchair that is suitable for disabled persons. A distinguish feature of our wheelchair is that a closed link mechanism is introduced. This link module changes conventional motored wheelchairs to computer controlled ones. It means that using intelligent functions of the computer, conventional motored wheelchairs can be navigated like an intelligent robot. Three examples of intelligent navigation functions are demonstrated. The first one is a motored wheelchair controlled by the head movement of the operator. The second one is a motored wheelchair with the image processing. Last one is a motored wheelchair with the remote sensing function.
