Nutritional Compositions and Physicochemical Properties of Two Domestic Aronia (A. melanocarpa) Varieties (국내산 아로니아 두 품종(네로, 바이킹)의 영양성분 및 생리활성 분석)

  • The nutritional compositions and physicochemical properties of two aronia varieties (Viking and Nero) cultivated in Chungbuk were investigated. The proximate compositions of Nero and Viking powder were:13% moisture, 0.58% and 0.6% ash, 0.73% and 0.33% crude lipid, 5.47% and 6.51% crude protein, 15.65% and 16.15% crude dietary fiber, and 64.36 and 64.43% crude carbohydrate, respectively. The proximate contents of the aronia samples were not significantly different. Among the physicochemical properties, there was also no significant change in total anthocyanin and antioxidant activity. However, Viking had higher total polyphenol contents and ${\alpha}$-glucosidase inhibition activity than Nero. The mineral contents of Al, Fe, Mn, Mg, Ca, Na, K, Cu and Zn in the two aronias were determined. Cu and Zn were not detected in both varieties. With regard to Al, Na and K, Nero was higher than Viking, while Ca was higher in Viking than Nero. From the results, Viking could be suggested to be beneficial for food processing.

Extraction and Purification of Agar from Gelidium amansii (우뭇가사리로부터 한천의 추출 및 정제)

  • The effect of different treatments on the quality and yield of purified agar produced from Gelidium amansii has been studied, and the extraction condition ol agar produced from G. amansii has been examined. The contents of ash, sulfate in agar produced from g. amansii collected from different places were $2.63\~2.92\%\;and\;1.38\~1.78\%$, respectively. Yields and gel strength of agar produced from G. amansii collected from different places were $31.6\~46.8\%\;and\;496\~887g/cm^2$, respectively. It was effective to extract agar at $120^{\circ}C\;for\;2\~3hrs$. Agar was purified by D.W. washing, EDTA washing, chitosan treatment, CPC treatment, PEG treatment, ethanol precipitation, acetone precipitation and propanol precipitation. The mineral contents of agar produced from Gelidium amansii were Na (2934ppm), Ca (2472ppm), Mg (2259ppm), K (2527ppm), P1(81.1ppm), Fe (66.4ppm), Al (71.7ppm), Zn (29.7ppm) and Pb (ND: not detected), respectively.

Load Fidelity Improvement of Piecewise Integrated Composite Beam by Construction Training Data of k-NN Classification Model (k-NN 분류 모델의 학습 데이터 구성에 따른 PIC 보의 하중 충실도 향상에 관한 연구)

  • Piecewise Integrated Composite (PIC) beam is composed of different stacking against loading type depending upon location. The aim of current study is to assign robust stacking sequences against external loading to every corresponding part of the PIC beam based on the value of stress triaxiality at generated reference points using the k-NN (k-Nearest Neighbor) classification, which is one of representative machine learning techniques, in order to excellent superior bending characteristics. The stress triaxiality at reference points is obtained by three-point bending analysis of the Al beam with training data categorizing the type of external loading, i.e., tension, compression or shear. Loading types of each plane of the beam were classified by independent plane scheme as well as total beam scheme. Also, loading fidelities were calibrated for each case with the variation of hyper-parameters. Most effective stacking sequences were mapped into the PIC beam based on the k-NN classification model with the highest loading fidelity. FE analysis result shows the PIC beam has superior external loading resistance and energy absorption compared to conventional beam.

  • 발전소 시뮬레이션 시스템 기술은 종합적인 지식을 바탕으로 자료수집 및 분석, 소프트웨어 개발 환경, 수학적 모델, 전산기 구성, 각종 계기류 설계 및 구매 장착 등의 노하우를 알아야만 제작할 수 있는 종합적인 기술이다. 또 지시기반의 기술이며 부가가치가 높은 기술이기 때문에 선진 각국에서는 계측제어 시스템의 기술개발 및 시장 확대를 위하여 힘을 쓰는 동시에 타국으로의 기술정보 유출을 경계하는데 신경을 곤두세우고 있다. 현재 복잡화되어 가고 있는 산업 사회의 전력 수요에 대한 대폭적인 증가 추세에 따라 발전소에서는 보다 효율적이며 합리적이고 경제적인 전력 공급을 위해서 전력 생산에 대한 신뢰성 향상 및 안정성 확보는 물론, 효율성 높은 운전이 절실히 요구되고 있다. 한편, 국내의 시뮬레이션 시스템 분야 기술은 아직도 완벽한 수준에는 미치지 못하며, 이 분야의 기술력 확보 및 신기술 개발은 향후 미래의 모든 시스템산업의 성쇄를 판가름하는 아주 중요한 척도가 될 것이다. 이 중에서 접지 분야는 고전압 혼촉에 의한 저압측 선로의 전압상승 방지, 모선(Bus)이나 전력 기기의 절연보호 및 회로전압의 안정등으로 시스템 성능을 한층 증가 시켜줄 뿐아니라 기기의 오동작이나 낙뇌등으로 인명피해 발생을 없애주는 아주 중요한 분야임에도 불구하고 이 분야의 국내 관련법규등이 미비한 사항이다. 그래서 발전소 분산제어 시스템분야의 장기간 신뢰성 및 안정성을 가지고 있고, 국내에서 많이 사용하는 미국 Bailey의 infi-90 및 독일 ABB의 Procontrol-P를 비교 분석하여 발전소 시뮬레이션 시스템의 접지에 응용 하고져 한다.상호 발생기를 이용한 다양한 시스템 검증 및 분석에 이용할 수 있을 것이다. 본 논문은 가상호 발생기의 구조와 최대 용량 시험 방법을 소개하고, 더 나아가 호 Traffic에 대한 최대 용량 시험뿐 아니라 QoS를 향상시키기 위한 교환 시스템의 제반 성능 시험 및 분석에 이를 이용하기 위해 개선이 필요함을 서술하고자 한다.textrm{m}$~3.4$\mu\textrm{m}$ 범위에서의 투과 및 흡수 스펙트럼을 측정하였다. 결정 성장 결과 B3+, Er3+, Cr3+ 이온은 Ti4+ 이온과 이온의 크기 차이가 심하여 결정의 정상적인 성장을 방해하는 물성을 나타냈고, V5+, Cr3+ 이온은 흑색의 결정, Fe3+ 이온은 적갈색의 결정으로 성장되었다. Al3+, Zr4+, Al3+의 순서로 투과도가 높아지는 것이 관찰되었다. 불순이온의 농도에 따른 영향으로서 Al3+ 이온의 경우 주입농도가 높아질수록 low angle boundary와 oxygen deficiency가 감소하였고, 투과율은 조금 감소하거나 큰 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 반면에 Cr3+ 이온을 주입한 경우 0.003 atomic%에서 최적의 물성을 보였으며, 주입농도가 높아질수록 결정성장이 어려워지고 광의 투과도가 급격히 저하되었다.은 1.3을 나타내었다.로 보인다.하면 수평축과 수직축의 분산 장벽의 비에 따라 cluster의 두께비가 달라지는 성장을 볼 수 있었고, 한 축 방향으로의 팔 넓이는 fcc(100) 표면의 경우 동일한 Ed+Ep값에 대응하는 팔 넓이와 거의 동일한 결과가 나타나는 것을 볼 수 있다. 따라서 이러한 비대칭적인

Physicochemical Compositions of Raw and Dried Wolha Persimmons (월하시 생감 및 곶감의 이화학적 성분 분석)

  • This study analyzed the major chemical components of raw and dried persimmons (Diospyros kaki Thunb.). Raw and dried persimmons contained (respectively) 85.52% and 47.36% moisture, 0.10% and 0.13% crude fat, 0.30% and 1.89% crude protein, and 0.56% and 2.0% crude fiber. The main free sugar components in both raw and dried persimmons were glucose and fructose. Seventeen amino acids were identified in the dried persimmons, amongst which the dominant ones were aspartic acid, glutamic acid, histidine and arginine. The total amino acid content of raw and dried persimmons was 3,130.76 ppm and 12,849.33 ppm, respectively. The major fatty acids in total lipids were palmitic acid, palmitoleic acid and linolenic acid in both raw and dried persimmons. The raw persimmons had 23.22% palmitoleic acid and 32.70% linolenic acid, suggesting that they have a high ratio of unsaturated fatty acids. The mineral content of both raw and dried persimmons was Na < Fe < Ca < P < K.

Physicochemical Characteristics of Agastache rugosa O. Kuntze Extracts by Extraction Conditions (추출조건에 따른 배초향 추출물들의 이화학적 특성)

  • Fifty-seven extracts from flower, leaf and stem of Agastache rugosa O. Kuntze were prepared by varing extraction conditions: solvents (hot water, ethanol and NaCl solution); temp.$(60,\;80\;and\;100^{\circ}C)$ and solvent ratios (10 to 35 times per material). Lipid content of leaf was 9.54% and protein content of the flower where the essential amino acids were most abundant among all parts was 16.8%. Among six minerals (Na. Ca, Fe, P, K and Mg) detected from all parts of the plant, the content of K was the highest. Extraction yield rated higher in odor of water, ethanol and NaCl solution, respectively and the extractions reached eqilibrium in about 15 to 20 min, regardless of extraction conditions. pH values of all extracted solvents maintained neutral upon extraction and a few free sugars in forms of glucose and fructose were detected from ethanol extracts. Colors and organoleptic characteristics of the extracts which determine the properties of final products varied with extraction conditions.

Potential of Onion Peel Extract as a Functional Ingredient for Functional Foods (건강기능성식품 기능성원료로서 양파껍질추출물의 품질특성)

  • Onion peels is a natural source of high-value functional ingredients produced in the onion industry without suitable processing. The objective of this study was to evaluate characteristics of onion peel extract (OPE), including its biological activities, obtained from solvent extraction in 3 times pilot scales (Lot A, B, and C). Mineral analysis showed that K was present in the largest amount (13,767.56-15,506.78 ppm), followed by Na and Ca at 8,602.44-9,796.00 ppm and 4,255.78-4,903.33 ppm, respectively. The amounts of total phenol, total flavonoid, and quercetin in the OPE were in the ranges of 598.57~626.73, 211.73~233.64, and 93.78~107.29 mg/g, respectively. The biological activities such as antioxidant and effects of fibrinolysis increased in parallel with the concentration of OPE. The $IC_{50}$ value of DPPH radical scavenging activity was in the range of 517.58~557.32 ppm in the OPE. The $IC_{50}$ value for superoxide dismutase (SOD)-like activity was in the range of 11,900.91~12,690.35 ppm. A clear zone of OPE (20,000 ppm) in fibrinolysis test was three times higher than the plasmin as a reference. In conclusion, OPE could be used as a good source of antioxidants and fibrinolytic activities.

Purification of Peat Moss Extract Using a Supercritical CO 2 and Verification of Its Biological Activities (초임계 이산화탄소를 이용한 피트모스 추출물의 정제 및 생리활성 검증)

  • In this study, the canadian peat moss extract was purified by a supercritical 2 using three different conditions and assessed its biological activities. Peat moss was extracted by acid-alkaline extraction method (sample 1) and purified by a supercritical $CO_2$ at $40^{\circ}C$ under pressure of 100 bar (sample 2), 120 bar (sample 3) or 150 bar (sample 4). We evaluated the antioxidant activities of the samples by 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) radical-scavenging, $Fe^{2+}$/ascorbate (FTC) and 2-thiobarbituric acid (TBA) methods. The antioxidant activities were examined by comparing the results with that of ascorbic acid as a positive control. Sample 3 showed relatively higher DPPH radical-scavenging activities than other samples. The antioxidant activity by FIC method exhibited similar results as the DPPH radical-scavenging activities. On the other hand, sample 2 showed higher antioxidant activity measured by TBA method of all. The whitening effects of the samples were examined using mushroom tyrosinase and B16F10 melanoma cells. Sample 3 exhibited overall significant whitening effects, however, other samples showed relatively lower effects. These results suggest that the peat moss extract purified by a supercritical 2 could be used as a cosmetic ingredient for the anti-aging and whitening effects.

Relationship between the Number of Different Food Consumed and Nutrient Intakes (섭취식품 가짓수와 영양소 섭취상태의 상관관계 분석)

  • In order to examine the relationship between the number of different foods consumed and nutrient intake, one-day food consumption were surveyed by 24-hour recall from a sample of 287 individuals(20-49 years) living in Daejon City. The number of consumed food items did not include seasonings except red pepper power, sugar, oil, and soybean paste when used in large amounts(DVS). The number, including all seasonings except salt and vinegar(DVSS), was also counted. Of the total subjects, 43.6%(DVS) or 39.0%(DVSS) consumed 18-23 daily different foods with an average of 20.2 or 22.9, respectively. As the DVS increased, daily intakes of total foods and most food groups were elevated. Cereals however were not changed and eggs were decreased with increasing DVS. Energy and nutrient intakes and their mean adequacy ratio(MAR) and index of nutritional quality(INQ) also show positive correlations with DVS. MAR equal to or greater than($\geq$) 0.75 was taken as a cut-off point for nutritional adequacy. In that case, the mean INQ was shown to be $\geq$1. MRI(10) for energy and 9 nutrients and MAR(3) for Ca, vitamin A, and riboflavin were estimated. Form a regression analysis, when MAR(10) was 0.75, the DVS and DVSS were assumed to be 19.6 and 22.2, respectively. And when MAR(3) was 0.75, the DVS and DVSS were assumed to be 31.6 and 34.6, respectively. However the subjects whose MAR(3) was 0.75(0.7-0.8) 23.8(DVS) or 26.6(DVSS) different foods in average, and their mean intakes of energy and all nutrients, except vitamin A, were ranged at 85-100% of the RDA. Of the 74 subjects who consumed DVS$\geq$24, 24 to 42 numbers took 〈75% RDA of Fe, Ca, riboflavin, and vitamin A. And five of 7 who consumed DVS$\geq$32 took $\geq$125%RDA of protein, which showed concerns of overnutrition in case of DVS$\geq$32. Form the above results it could be suggested that a daily intake of 24-32(or 28) of DVS or 27-35(or 31) of DVSS was recommendable for an optimal nutritional of all nutrients if the variety of food groups and sufficient intake of vitamin A and calcium were emphasized together.

Silicidation Reaction Stability with Natural Oxides in Cobalt Nickel Composite Silicide Process (자연산화막 존재에 따른 코발트 니켈 복합실리사이드 공정의 안정성)

  • We investigated the silicide reaction stability between 10 nm-Col-xNix alloy films and silicon substrates with the existence of 4 nm-thick natural oxide layers. We thermally evaporated 10 nm-Col-xNix alloy films by varying $x=0.1{\sim}0.9$ on naturally oxidized single crystal and 70 nm-thick polycrystalline silicon substrates. The films structures were annealed by rapid thermal annealing (RTA) from $600^{\circ}C$ to $1100^{\circ}C$ for 40 seconds with the purpose of silicidation. After the removal of residual metallic residue with sulfuric acid, the sheet resistance, microstructure, composition, and surface roughness were investigated using a four-point probe, a field emission scanning electron microscope, a field ion bean4 an X-ray diffractometer, and an Auger electron depth profiling spectroscope, respectively, to confirm the silicide reaction. The residual stress of silicon substrate was also analyzed using a micro-Raman spectrometer We report that the silicide reaction does not occur if natural oxides are present. Metallic oxide residues may be present on a polysilicon substrate at high silicidation temperatures. Huge residual stress is possible on a single crystal silicon substrate at high temperature, and these may result in micro-pinholes. Our results imply that the natural oxide layer removal process is of importance to ensure the successful completion of the silicide process with CoNi alloy films.
