  • 분산 객체 시스템을 통합하기 위한 표준인 CORBA(Common Object Request Broker Atchitecture)는 분산 환경에서 더욱 더 자주 발생하는 고장에 대한 회복 수단을 제공하지 않기 때문에, 높은 신뢰성을 요구하는 상업용 어플리케이션에 도입되지 못하고 있다. 이에 따라, CORBA 구조 내에 자체적인 고장 감내 구조를 추가해 신뢰성 높은 서비스를 제공할 수 있는 고장 감내 CORBA에 대한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 그러나, 2000년 4월에 채택된 고장 감내 CORBA에 대한 명세서에서는 객체의 인터페이스를 정의하는 기술 언어인 CORBA IDL(Interface Definition Language)로 객체 단위의 중복과 이를 위한 시스템의 구조 및 각 모듈의 설계를 요약하고 있으나, 그 세부적인 메커니즘이 제시되지 않고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 CORBA에 고장 감내성을 부여하기 위해 세부적인 고장 감내 CORBA를 위한 로깅 및 회복 기법을 제안한다.

Apparatus for Measuring Fan Stall of Boiler for Power Station (화력발전용 보일러의 맥동 측정 장치)

  • In this paper, in the ventilation system of coal-fired power boilers can measure in real time the fan stall mechanism is all about. The fan stall guard system of boiler airing system of the class of 500MW capacity to protect fan. But because confidence is loosed and operation is influenced by frequent fault of fan stall guard system, confidence is improved by substituting DCS Logic for it.

  • 현재 사용되고 있는 운영체제들은 그들의 기능을 확장하거나 교체하기 위해서 kernel extension을 사용해 왔다. 일반적으로 이러한 kernel extension들은 커널과 같은 주소공간에서 실행하기 때문에, 그것에서 발생하는 오류(fault)로 인해 전체 시스템이 망가지는 결과를 초래할 위험이 있다. 그래서 kernel extension의 안전한 실행에 관한 연구들은 kernel extension에서 발생한 오류를 전체 시스템으로부터 고립시키는 것이 주목적이었다. 하지만 이러한 방법들은 kernel extension의 어셈블리어로 된 코드를 분석하거나 사용하고 있는 커널의 소스 코드를 수정을 필요로 한다. 본 논문은 Sentry라는 kernel extension을 감시하기 위한 인터포지션 서비스를 제안한다. Sentry를 사용하기 위해서 별도의 커널 코드를 수정할 필요도 없으며, 이미 사용하고 있는 리눅스와 호환될 수 있는 특징을 지니고 있다. 그리고 kernel extension의 소스코드 및 어셈블리 코드에 대한 분석 없이 바이너리 파일을 직접 수정하여 kernel extension을 모니터링 할 수 있도록 한다. 게다가 Sentry는 재구성이 가능하기 때문에 얼마든지 kernel extension에 대한 보호정책을 동적으로 바꿀 수 있다.

  • This case study presents a practical method to reduce resonant vibration of generator-motor set. The generator is driven at 1800rpm by induction integral motor. The vibration is below alarm limits, but the dominant frequency of vibration is sub-synchronous and close to that of bearing fault signal in spite of new bearings. To find an mechanism of abnormal vibration, ODS and Modal analysis is carried out. The measured modal characteristics were compared with those of FE Analysis. The ODS mode at rated speed is consistent with system natural frequency mode that is excited by bearings. To reduce vibration level, the isolation mount at system base is changed with new rubber mount for lower natural frequency.

LSP Congestion Control methods in ATM based MPLS on BcN

  • ATM based MPLS(Multiprotocol Label Switching) is discussed for its provisioning QOS commitment capabilities, Traffic engineering and smooth migration for BcN in Korea. At this time, due to the comprehensive nature of ATM protocol, ATM has been adapted as the backbone system for carrying Internet traffic[1,2,3,4]. This paper presents preventive congestion control mechanisms for detecting HTR(Hard-To-Reach) LSP(Label Switched Path) in ATM based MPLS systems. In particular, we have introduced a HTR LSP detection method using network signaling information in an ATM layer. MPLS related studies can cover LSP failures in a physical layer fault, it can not impact network congestion status. Here we will present the research results for introducing HTR LSP detection methods and control mechanisms and this mechanism can be implementing as SOC for high speed processing a packet header. We concluded that it showed faster congestion avoidance abilities with a more reduced system load and maximized the efficiency of network resources by restricting ineffective machine attempts.

  • Train control by radio based communication is one of the interesting new fields in train signal. The radio based control has more benefits, low headway and low construction and maintenance cost, than conventional control. In this paper, a safe and efficient train operation is introduced. Triple radio communications, train to train, train to station, and train to central traffic control, are used to increase the reliability. One of these communications channels has a fault; the others can take the functions of it. Absolute position of a train is transmitted to station via radio communication. In the station, the interlocking mechanism should be activated as the legacy.

  • In this paper, we are studied on the direction and formation of carbonized conductive path according to surface leakage current between electrodes. The characteristics of the tracking as surface is broken down between exposed live parts. Using the HSIS(high speed imaging system. 100,000[fps], redlake ltd., USA), it took photographs by arc growth mechanism occurred in on/off surge, ground fault and discharge between electrodes. Then the results was analyzed. Hereafter, it expected effects that application of energy utility technology through the arc control.

Reactive Current Assignment and Control for DFIG Based Wind Turbines during Grid Voltage Sag and Swell Conditions

  • This paper proposes a reactive current assignment and control strategy for a doubly-fed induction generator (DFIG) based wind-turbine generation system under generic grid voltage sag or swell conditions. The system's active and reactive power constrains during grid faults are investigated with both the grid- and rotor-side convertors (GSC and RSC) maximum ampere limits considered. To meet the latest grid codes, especially the low- and high-voltage ride-through (LVRT and HVRT) requirements, an adaptive reactive current control scheme is investigated. In addition, a torque-oscillation suppression technique is designed to reduce the mechanism stress on turbine systems caused by intensive voltage variations. Simulation and experiment studies demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed control scheme to enhance the fault ride-through (FRT) capability of DFIG-based wind turbines during violent changes in grid voltage.

  • Electrical current always travels through the minimum resistance path. In this paper, we are studied on the direction and formation of carbonized conductive path according to surface leakage between electrodes. The analysis of characteristics of the arc discharge as surface is broken down between exposed live parts. Using the HSIS(high speed imaging system, 100,000fps, redlake ltd., USA), it took photographs by arc growth mechanism occurred in on/off surge, ground fault and discharge between electrodes. Therefore, it recommended for results of technology development and application such as theoretic verification of an arc direction and economic security according to a technology about connecting arc generation in surfaces of insulators. Hereafter, it expected effects that application of energy utility technology through the arc control.

A Fault Detection Method for Control Rod Drive Mechanisms in Nuclear Power Plants via $H_\infty$ Filtering ($H_\infty$ 필터를 이용한 원자력발전소 제어봉구동장치의 고장 검출)

  • This paper proposes a detection method for mechanically stuck control rod drive mechanism (CRDM) faults. During the normal operation of a CRDM, disturbance voltage is induced due to the change of the airgap flux between the stator and the armature of a CRDM. This disturbance voltage is estimated by using $H_\infty$ filtering method, and generalized plant is used in linear fractional transform (LFT) framework. $H_\infty$ filtering is described and solved in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Simulation results are shown.
