압력용기 소재에서의 표면균열의 피로균열 성장특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Fatigue Crack Growth Characterization Of Surface Crack In Pressure Vessel Materials)

  • 본 연구에서는 압력용기 소재인 SPV 50Q와 고압강관 소재로 사용하는 SPV 50Q 와 고압강간 소재로 사용하는 API 5A-K55에서의 표면균열의 표면방향과 깊이방향 또한 두께 평균에 대한 균열열림을 스트레인 게이지와 CMOD(Crack Mouth Opening Displace- ment)게이지를 이용하여 측정 비교하였다. 또한 표면균열의 균열 열림하중을 측정위 치에 따라 평가하고, 본연구에 사용한 두 소재에 대해 균열 열림을 고려한 표면균열 진전평가가 각 방향에 대해 이루어졌다.

  • This paper examines the crack growth behavior of 7075-T651 aluminum alloy for small tensile overload under high-low block loading condition. The cantilever beam type specimen with a chevron notch is used in this study. The crack growth and closure are investigated by compliance method. The applied initial stress ratios are R=-0.5 R=0.0 and R=0.25 Crack length, effective stress intensity factor range, ratio of effective stress intensity factor range and crack growth rate etc, are inspected with fracture mechanics estimate.

The Influence of Resin Mixture Ratio for the Use of Prepreg on the Fatigue Behavior Properties in FRMLs

  • Fiber reinforced metal laminates(FRMLs) were new type of hybrid materials. FRMLs consist of high strength metals(Al 5052-H34) and laminated fiber with structural adhesive bond. The effect of resin mixture ratios on the fatigue crack propagation behavior and mechanical properties of aramid fiber reinforced aluminum composites was investigated. The epoxy, diglycidylether of bisphenol A(DGEBA), was cured with methylene dianiline(MDA) with or without an accelerator(K-54). Eight kinds of resin mixture ratio were used for the experiment ; five kinds of FRMLs(1)(mixture of epoxy and curing agent) and three kinds of FRMLs(2)mixture of epoxy, curing agent and accelerator). The characteristic of fatigue crack propagation behavior and mechanical properties FRMLs(2) shows more effecting than that of FRMLs(1).

알루미늄 합금의 랜덤하중 하에서 발생한 피로파면 해석 방법 (Fractographic Analysis Method of Fatigue Fracture Surface under Program and Random Loading for Aluminum Alloy)

  • Striation is a typical pattern observed on the fatigue fracture surface and the spacing is known to correspond to a macroscopic fatigue crack growth rate, and many models for the predict in the formation of such striation have been proposed. However, these theories and methods can't be applied under random loading spectrum. In this study, the fatigue tests were carried out on aluminum alloy under random loading spectrum. The fatigue fracture surfaces were observed in the scanning electron microscope (SEM) and great quantities of SEM micrographs were synthesized and saved in computer system. The space and morphology of several large-scale striations, which are expected to from at the relatively greater load range in loading block, were observed. The crack length for each loading blocks was decided in consideration of regularity and repetition of those striations. It is shown that the applicability of fractographic methods on the fatigue fracture surface under random loading spectrum.

  • 본 논문에서는 이상과 같은 연구현상을 배경으로 응력비 R.geq.0인 사인응력파 에서도 사이클의존형 크랙전파가 공존하는가, 공존한다면 그 전이를 결정짓는 조건을 구하기 위해, 대표적인 고온용 재료인 SUS 304강을 이용하여 온도 650.deg. C, 대기중에서 반복속도 .nu., 응력비 R, 응력레벨 .sigma.$_{maxo}$등의 실험조건을 바꾸어 고온저사이클 피로실험을 하였다. 또 이 현상의 기초과정을 이해하는데 도움을 주기 위하여 파면 관찰을 행하였다.

  • Crack initiation and short crack propagation was studied on the polished notched surfaces of Cr-Mo prealloy sintered steels with 7.35 $g.cm^{-3}$ sintered density. An ultrasonic resonance test system operating in push-pull mode at 20 kHz and R=-1 was used. It showed that crack initiation took place in several places, small cracks growing oriented to the local pore structure rather than to stress orientation. Their growth rate is markedly higher than the corresponding one of long cracks. Finally, several microcracks join to form a dominant crack.

압력용기 패드부의 피로균열진전에 관한 파괴력학적 연구 (A Fracture Mechanics Study on the Fatigue Crack Propagation of the Pressure Vessel Pad Weldment)

  • In studying the fatigue strength of fillet welded the section of pressure vessel pad, this study was to evaluate the effect of weld toe notch and to compare the results of numerical analysis with the results of fatigue experiments of fillet welded A5l6 grade 60 steel specimens. The fatigue life for the Bead welded specimen was about 1.4 times as much it as the 1Pad welded specimen. Also, The fatigue life for the 2Pad welded specimen was about 1.5 times as much it as the 1Pad welded specimen. In $da/dN-{\Delta}K$ curve, the fatigue crack growth rate for the 1Pad welded specimen appeared higher than that of the 2Pad welded specimen in the same initial region of ${\Delta}K$, had a similar Inclination In the stabled region.

복합응력장 하의 균열부재에 대한 잔류피로수명 평가방법 (Residual fatigue life evaluation method for the cracked components under complex stress fields)

  • This study reviews the influence function method(IFM) for calculating stress intensity factors (SIFs, K) and modifies it to apply for the estimating the residual fatigue life for the cracked components under complex stress fields. An IFM has been developed to analyze SIFs for surface cracks which are subjectedto nonuniformly distributed stresses. Through elastic superposition, the influence function method properly accounts for redistribution of stress as the crack grows through the component. This influence function is unique to the given geometry and independent of the loading. Some examples have been provided to show the effectiveness of the IFM including the distributions of K in a residual stress field. The significant effect of residual stress upon fatigue crack growth in a welded component has been demonstrated with the IFM.

  • To estimate crack growth rate and cycle ratio uniquely, many investigators have developed various kinds of mechanical parameters and theories. But, these have produced local solution space through single parameter. Neural Networks can perform pattern classification using several input and output parameters. Fatigue damage model by neural networks was used to recognize the relation between da/dN N/Nf, and half-value breadth ratio B/BO0, fractal dimension Df and fracture mechanical parameters in 2024-T3 ability to predict both crack growth rate da/dN and cycle ratio N/Nf within engineering estimated mean error (5%).

피로크랙전파율에 대한 시험편 두께의 영향 (The Effect of Specimen Thickness on the Fatigue Crack Propagation Rate)

  • 본 연구에서는 피로파괴에 영향을 주는 여러 인자중에서 우선 피로크랙전파에 대한 시험편 두께의 영향을 검토하기 위하여 최초 두께 25mm인 일반구조용 압연강재를 평면가공하여 두께 5, 10, 15, 20, 25mm인 CT 시험편을 가공한 후 인장-인장편진반 복피로시험을 행하여 실험한 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 1. 피로수명이 가장 짧게 나타나는 임의의 시험편 두께가 존재하며, 본 실험의 경우에는 두께 15m인 시험편의 경우 피로수명이 가장 짧게 나타났다. 2. 피로크랙의 발생은 두께가 두꺼운 시험편의 경우가 늦지만 피로크랙 성장은 두꺼운 시험편의 경우가 빠르게 나타났다. 3. 본 실험에서 paris시의 계수 m의 값은 절위는 1.98~4.59로서 시험편의 두께가 두꺼울수록 m의 값이 크게 된다.
