  • This paper deals with the programs and algorithms that generate the full data set that satisfy the basic combinatorial requirement of combination, permutation, partial permutation or shortly r-permutation, which are used in the application of the total data testing or the simulation input. We search the programs able to meet the rules which is permutations and combinations, r-permutations, select the fastest program by field. With further study, we developed a new program reducing the time required to processing. Our research performs the following pre-study. Firstly, hundreds of algorithms and programs in the internet are collected and corrected to be executable. Secondly, we measure running time for all completed programs and select a few fast ones. Thirdly, the fast programs are analyzed in depth and its pseudo-code programs are provided. We succeeded in developing two programs that run faster. Firstly, the combination program can save the running time by removing recursive function and the r-permutation program become faster by combining the best combination program and the best permutation program. According to our performance test, the former and later program enhance the running speed by 22% to 34% and 62% to 226% respectively compared with the fastest collected program. The programs suggested in this study could apply to a particular cases easily based on Pseudo-code., Predicts the execution time spent on data processing, determine the validity of the processing, and also generates total data with minimum access programming.

  • In this paper, we present advanced algorithms to reduce the computations of block matching algorithms for motion estimation in video coding. Advanced multi-level successive elimination algorithms(AMSEA) are based on the Multi-level successive elimination algorithm(MSEA)[1]. The first algorithm is that when we calculate the sum of absolute difference (SAD) between the sum norms of sub-blocks in MSEA, we use the partial distortion elimination technique. By using the first algorithm, we can reduce the computations of MSEA further. In the second algorithm, we calculate SAD adaptively from large value to small value according to the absolute difference values between pixels of blocks. By using the second algorithm, the partial distortion elimination in SAD calculation can occur early. So, the computations of MSEA can be reduced. In the third algorithm, we can estimate the elimination level of MSEA. Accordingly, the computations of the MSEA related to the level lower than the estimated level can be reduced. The fourth algorithm is a very fast block matching algorithm with nearly 100% motion estimation accuracy. Experimental results show that AMSEA are very efficient algorithms for the estimation of motion vectors.

  • Packet classification is a key technology of the Internet for routers to classify the arriving packets into different flows according to the predefined rulesets. Previous packet classification algorithms have mainly focused on search speed and memory usage, while overlooking update performance. In this paper, we propose PreCuts, which can drastically improve the update speed. According to the characteristics of IP field, we implement three heuristics to build a 3-layer decision tree. In the first layer, we group the rules with the same highest byte of source and destination IP addresses. For the second layer, we cluster the rules which share the same IP prefix length. Finally, we use the heuristic of information entropy-based bit partition to choose some specific bits of IP prefix to split the ruleset into subsets. The heuristics of PreCuts will not introduce rule duplication and incremental update will not reduce the time and space performance. Using ClassBench, it is shown that compared with BRPS and EffiCuts, the proposed algorithm not only improves the time and space performance, but also greatly increases the update speed.

  • Since string operations were applied to computational biology, security and search for Internet, various data structures and algorithms for computing efficient string operations have been studied. The all-pairs suffix-prefix matching is to find the longest suffix and prefix among given strings. The matching algorithm is importantly used for fast approximation algorithm to find the shortest superstring, as well as for bio-informatics and data compressions. In this paper, we propose an algorithm to find all-pairs suffix-prefix matching using the suffix array, which takes O($k{\cdot}m$) time complexity. The suffix array algorithm is proven to be better than the suffix tree algorithm by showing it takes less time and memory through experiments.

  • Wireless communication systems are inevitable for efficient underwater activities. Because of the poor propagation characteristics of light and electromagnetic waves, acoustic waves are generally used for the underwater wireless communication. Although there are many kinds of information type, visual images take an essential role especially for search and identification activities. For this reason, we developed an acoustic-based underwater image transmission system under a dual use technology project supported by MOCIE (Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy). For the application to complicated and time-varying underwater environments all-digital transmitter and receiver systems are investigated. Array acoustic transducers are used at the receiver, which have the center frequency of 32kHz and the bandwidth of 4kHz. To improve transmission speed and quality, various algorithms and systems are used. The system design techniques will be discussed in detail including image compression/ decompression system, adaptive beam- forming, fast RLS adaptive equalizer, ${\partial}/4$ QPSK (Quadrilateral Phase Shift Keying) modulator/demodulator, and convolution coding/ Viterbi. • This paper describes far the detection of heart event that is, QRS complex and P wave which are result from heart activity. The proposed QRS detection method by using the spatial velocity was identified as having the 99.6% detection accuracy as well as fast processing time. Atrial flutter, coupled P wave, and noncoupled P wave as well as atrial fibrillation could be detected correctly by three different algorithms according to their origination farm. About 99.6% correction accuracy coupled P wave could be obtained and we could be found that most detection errors are caused by establishing wrong search interval.

  • Each year Malaria affects over 200 million people worldwide. Particularly, African continent is highly hit by this disease. According to many researches, this continent is ideal for Anopheles mosquitoes which transmit Malaria parasites to thrive. Rainfall volume is one of the major factor favoring the development of these Anopheles in the tropical Sub-Sahara Africa (SSA). However, the surveillance, monitoring and reporting of this epidemic is still poor and bureaucratic only. In our paper, we proposed a method to fast monitor and report Malaria instances by using Social Network Systems (SNS) and precipitation volume in Nigeria. We used Twitter search Application Programming Interface (API) to live-stream Twitter messages mentioning Malaria, preprocessed those Tweets and classified them into Malaria cases in Nigeria by using Support Vector Machine (SVM) classification algorithm and compared those Malaria cases with average precipitation volume. The comparison yielded a correlation of 0.75 between Malaria cases recorded by using Twitter and average precipitations in Nigeria. To ensure the certainty of our classification algorithm, we used an oversampling technique and eliminated the imbalance in our training Tweets.

  • To solve the problems of heavy computing load and system transmission pressure in energy internet (EI), we establish a three-tier cloud-edge integrated EI network based on a cloud-edge collaborative computing to achieve the tradeoff between energy consumption and the system delay. A joint optimization problem for resource allocation and task offloading in the threetier cloud-edge integrated EI network is formulated to minimize the total system cost under the constraints of the task scheduling binary variables of each sensor node, the maximum uplink transmit power of each sensor node, the limited computation capability of the sensor node and the maximum computation resource of each edge server, which is a Mixed Integer Non-linear Programming (MINLP) problem. To solve the problem, we propose a joint task offloading and resource allocation algorithm (JTOARA), which is decomposed into three subproblems including the uplink transmission power allocation sub-problem, the computation resource allocation sub-problem, and the offloading scheme selection subproblem. Then, the power allocation of each sensor node is achieved by bisection search algorithm, which has a fast convergence. While the computation resource allocation is derived by line optimization method and convex optimization theory. Finally, to achieve the optimal task offloading, we propose a cloud-edge collaborative computation offloading schemes based on game theory and prove the existence of Nash Equilibrium. The simulation results demonstrate that our proposed algorithm can improve output performance as comparing with the conventional algorithms, and its performance is close to the that of the enumerative algorithm.

  • BDD have become widely used for various CAD applications because Boolean functions can be represented uniquely and compactly by using BDD. The size of the BDD representation for a function is very sensitive to the choice of orderings on the input variable. Therefore, it is very important to find a good variable ordering which minimize the size of the BDD. Since finding an optimal ordering is NP-complete, several heuristic algorithms have been proposed to find good variable orderings. In this paper, we propose a variable ordering algorithm, Faster-${\mu}$0, based on the ${\mu}$0(microcanonical optimization). In the Faster-${\mu}$0 algorithm, the initialization phase is replaced with a shifting phase to produce better solutions in a fast local search. We find values for algorithm parameters experimentally and the proposed algorithm has been experimented on well known benchmark circuits and shows superior performance compared to various existing algorithms.

  • In general, feature detection and tracking algorithms is classified by EBGM using Garbor-jet, NNC-R and STK algorithm using pixel eigenvalue. In those algorithms, EBGM and NCC-R detect features with feature model, but STK algorithm has a characteristics of an automatic feature selection. In this paper, to solve the initial problem of NR tracking in STK algorithm, we detected features using STK algorithm in modelled feature region and tracked features with NR method. In tracking, to improve the tracking accuracy for features by NR method, we proposed BMA-NR method. We evaluated that BMA-NR method was superior to NBMA-NR in that feature tracking accuracy, since BMA-NR method was able to solve the local minimum problem due to search window size of NR.
