The aims of this study were to examine the characteristics of consumer groups by distribution channel and to identify the variables that influence consumers' intentions to purchase herbal cosmetics. Self-administered questionnaires were distributed to 1,000 women between ages of 20 and 50 years who had purchased herbal cosmetics between November 6, 2006 and December 15, 2006 and currently live in Seoul, Kyung-gi, Pusan, Kyung-Nam, Daegu and Kyung-pook province. A total of 900 questionnaires were used in the final analysis. Factor analysis, $x^2$-test, t-test, frequency, one-way ANOVA and stepwise regression analysis were utilized. The results were as follows: 1. There was a correlation between the demographic characteristics of the consumers and the distribution channel they utilized. 2. There was a correlation between the benefits sought by consumers and the distribution channel they utilized. 3. There was a relationship between the sources of the consumer information leading to the purchase and the distribution channel utilized. 4. There was a relationship between the variables influencing consumers' intentions to purchase the products and the distribution channel they utilized.

In the fashion enterprises of today, there are many kind of inter- enterprises' collaborations which are related to the strategic management for reinforcing their competitiveness in various fields. These inter- enterprises' collaborations, which began to increase in 2000, will increase even more in the near future. This study carries out the findings between collaborating companies' and their partners' characteristics and the actual conditions of collaborations through the responses of fashion enterprises' key employees. A questionnaire was answered by 194 key employees of the fashion enterprises in Korea and the analysis was completed by frequency analysis, cross tabulation analysis. The results of this study are the following; 1. Most of the enterprises of the same fashion categories collaborated with the promotion companies as their partners. The enterprises of different fashion categories collaborated strongly with the distribution companies as their partners. The strongest reason of the collaboration was for rapid product supplying to the market. 2. With regard to the management resources, the relationship between the collaborated companies and their partners had been formed by mutual assistance. Also, there were positive relationships between the collaborating companies and the partners concerning business reputation. The results of this study generated some valuable information that can be used in the fashion industry.

Customer loyalty is a desired and essential result for companies in a business environment with a lot of competition, of which the fashion industry is no exception. For the fashion industry, the competition between businesses is increasingly fierce with the appearance of tailored fashion brands for each customer, also known as a designed fashion brand. The objective of this study is to examine the relationship between the antecedents of the relationship (reputation of designer, social media marketing) and customer relationship (trust and intimacy), and loyalty of customer for a designed fashion brand. The mixed research method is used to achieve research objectives with qualitative and quantitative research method. Qualitative data was collected through in-depth interview with 12 participants in Ho Chi Minh City, while quantitative data was collected by a survey of 799 respondents in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi City. The results show that the antecedents of relationship marketing positively affect on customer relationship and customer loyalty. Moreover, customer relationship has a positive impact on the customer loyalty when shopping for fashion products. From the research results, some managerial implications are also proposed for the designed fashion brands to improve the relationship marketing performance.
Purpose - The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship among narcissism, usage motives, usage behaviors, satisfaction with and continuance intention to use fashion social media. Research design, data, methodology - A questionnaire survey was used to collect data after conducting a pilot test. Based on the reliability test of the preliminary questionnaire used for the pilot test, the questionnaire was revised. The final questionnaires were administered to 238 fashion social media users and 216 were used for the data analysis. To assess the validity of these measures, exploratory factor analysis and the confirmatory factor analysis were performed. Structural equation modeling analysis were employed for data analysis. Results - Five factors of the usage motivation of fashion social media were extracted: information-seeking, relationship-seeking, practicality-seeking, enjoyment-seeking and self-expression motives. The statistical analysis confirmed the influence of the narcissism tendency on all of the usage motives of fashion social media, three of the fashion social media usage motives influencing information diffusion behavior, and the influence of the information diffusion behavior on users' satisfaction and continuance intention to use fashion social media. Narcissism exerted the highest influences on self-expression motive followed by information-seeking, enjoyment-seeking, relationship-seeking and practicality-seeking motives in order. Factors affecting fashion information diffusion behaviors are practicality-seeking motive, self-expression motive, and relationship-seeking motive. The greater the diffusion of information, the higher the satisfaction with using fashion social media. The consumers with higher satisfaction intended to use fashion social media and share information more frequently. Conclusions - The results indicate that narcissism is an important factor in fashion social media usage motivation. The main motives for narcissistic people to spread information is for the practical purpose at the most, and then to express their personality and style, and to build relationship with others. The satisfaction through active information sharing behaviors seems to play a key role to lead high continuance intention of fashion social media. These implies that marketing strategies to satisfy consumers' narcissism and motives to use social media, and to stimulate the information diffusion behaviors can be used to meet their needs for higher satisfaction with fashion social media.

This study investigated service recovery justice perception, purchase satisfaction, positive word-of- mouth (WOM) intention, and repurchase intention of fashion consumers according to the types of internet shopping malls. A survey was conducted from December 20 in 2010 to January 28 in 2011, and 324 respondents who had complaint with internet shopping malls were used in the data analysis. The statistical analysis methods were frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, t-test, ANOVA, and multiple regression analysis. The results of this study were as follows. First, in case of integrated internet shopping malls, the procedure justice influenced the purchase satisfaction and the interaction justice influenced the positive WOM intention. In addition, the distribution justice influenced the repurchase intention of fashion consumers. In the case of an open market, the interaction justice influenced the purchase satisfaction and the distribution justice influenced the positive WOM intention. In case of specialized internet shopping malls, the distribution justice influenced the purchase satisfaction and the interaction justice influenced the repurchase intention. Second, there was a difference in the procedure justice, positive WOM intention, and repurchase intention according to gender.

The purposes of this study were to identify brand equity factors influencing brand preference and to investigate the effects of preference and other factors on brand performance of domestic and imported fashion accessary(handbag, shoes, purse, etc.) brands. A total of 300 women aged between 20 and 49 years were surveyed during the month of September, 2006, on 2 domestic brands and 2 imported brands that were well-known to consumers. The data were analyzed with factorial analysis, multiple regression analysis, ANOVA, Cronbach's ${\alpha}$, etc., using the SPSS 10.0. The result of research showed: 1) Four factors of brand equity were identified: quality, awareness, image, and trust. 2) Quality, awareness, price acceptability, distribution proximity, and brand performance of the domestic brands were higher than those of the imported brands. But brand preference of the imported brands was higher than that of the domestic brands. 3) Brand preference of the domestic brands was affected by quality, awareness, image, and trust. And brand performance of the domestic brands was affected by appropriateness, brand preference, and distribution proximity. 4) Brand preference of the imported brands was affected by image, quality, awareness, and trust. And brand performance of the imported brands was affected by price acceptability, appropriateness, and distribution proximity.

Recently, the luxury brand market has expanded from the 5060 market to the 2030 market segment due to diversification of distribution channels, an increase in income, and changes in consumption values. This change is attributed to the increase in sales of fashion accessory products, such as bags and wallets, thereby confirming the importance of the luxury brand fashion accessories market. However, there are few studies of the luxury brand fashion accessories market or brand loyalty for fashion accessories, which accounts for a large proportion of the overall luxury brand market. The purpose of this study was to develop and empirically test a theoretical framework that captures and compares the difference of impact of service quality, product attributes, and consumer satisfaction on luxury brand loyalty between the 20-30 market and the 5060 market of the fashion accessories market. Data was collected from 598 customers who purchased luxury brand fashion accessories by objective sampling. Structural equation modelling was used to test the hypotheses developed for the study. Results found evident effects of consumer satisfaction on luxury brand loyalty through the perception of service quality by consumers. Additionally, in the 2030 market, the fashion accessory attributes had little impact on consumer satisfaction and luxury brand loyalty, whereas in the 5060 market, it had a significant impact only on consumer satisfaction, but not on luxury brand loyalty. This is the first study to examine a structural equation model of luxury brand loyalty to compare the difference of the model between segmented markets, such as the 2030 market and the 5060 market of the luxury brand fashion accessories market. These results will contribute to a better understanding of the mechanism that underlie the operation of an effective luxury branding strategy for fashion accessories.

The purpose of this study is to provide the characteristics of marketing strategy on the SPA(Specialty store retailor of Private label Apparel) brand. This research can be used as information for the domestic SPA brand to enhance its international competitiveness. The characteristics of marketing strategy on the SPA brand are as follows. 1. One company integrate vertically the process of planning, production, promotion and distribution. 2. As using the advanced information, productions, and logistics systems, they are carried out speedy management. 3. The production strategies are focused on providing new goods of fast cycle and very diverse styles in a season, developing products that accurately reflect the general market trend and consumer demands, extending the line of goods, outsourcing of the place to reduce production costs. For high-quality goods, they are collaborating with the famous designers and developing of new and green environment materials. 4. Generally, the SPA brand emphasizes the low price strategy against the quality. 5. The promotion strategies are focused on conducting various unique and high sensible VMDs, fashion shows, star marketing, campaigns, aggressive publicity, magazine & outdoor advertisement and various events through the internet website, etc. 6. The place (distribution) strategies of SPA brand are focused on launching into global, expanding number of stores, increasing large-sized stores and diversifying the forms of store and selling.
Fashion marketing channels experience conflicts inevitably because of constant interaction among fabric producers, apparel manufacturers, contractors, and retailers. However, it is rarely that attempts has been made to identify causes of conflicts in distribution channel of fashion industry. The purpose of this study was to explore causes of conflicts from the standpoint of a contractor. For this study, data were collected from the owner or the manager represented with a contractor in fashion maketing channels. By means of in-depth interviews with multiple informants, their statement was analyzed qualitatively. From analysis of the resulting data, the causes of conflict were associated with two broad sets, attitudinal and structural differences between apparel manufacturers and contractors. First, attitudinal sources of conflict were identified as perception of subordinated relationships between channel members, delayed announcement on order changes, difficulties in communication by using different terms, different expectations between channel members in controlling product quality, and lack of credit in inspecting products. Second, structural sources of conflict involved unilateral decision on wages for contracting, lengthy payment period derived from a bill of credit, deficient autonomy in selecting auxiliary suppliers, unreasonable issues on lead time, and unfair transaction in selecting a contractor or inspecting finished products. There are limitations on generalization due to the results based on interviews, but this study will be a useful exploratory step before designing a large scale survey.
The purpose of this study was to identify perception level of QR and the usage level of QR technologes and to examine the relationships between the firm characteristics and the usage level of QR technologes and QR adoption in domestic fashon industry. Using the usage levels of QR technologes and QR adoption as the dependent variables, the selected firm characteristics, as independent variables, were firm size, perception level of QR benefits, and product characteristics. The findings from the empirical analysis of this study can be summarized as follows : Firm size and perception level of QR benefits were significantly associated with the usage level of QR technologies and adoption. Product characteristics were partly associated with QR adoption. The four elements were partly associated with QR adoption. Most of the QR adopters were using the QR technologies, and will tend to have four elements. From the results of this study, the researcher expects the information from this study to contributes to the body of knowlege about the identification, adoption and utilization of component technologies for QR management systems and draws several counterproposal as follows : The advancement of domestic fashion industry is possible through the systematic adoption of QR by the collaboration of the government & the industry. Most nonadopter had financial problems as a constraint to QR adoption. Financial supports are needed from trade associations and government. The fashion industry may promote the type of smart QR. The type of smart QR means usage level of QR technologies which reflect the firm characteristics and the actual industry state in domestic fashion industry. The fashion industry may establish information technology network (i. e., EDI, POS, EOS) between relative industry such as fiber, apparel manufacturers, retailers. The related industry should make a partnership.
