Objective: The purpose of this study was to develop and examine the psychometric properties of the Client Satisfaction Questionnaire on multicultural family support services. Methods: The Client Satisfaction Questionnaire was designed to address key elements of the client's satisfaction with the services (i.e., family education, gender equality education, human right education, and social integration education) provided for multicultural families. The nationwide data were collected from 5,335 clients who participated in family education, 4,582 clients who participated in gender equality education, 4,777 clients who participated in human right education, and 5,547 clients who participated in social integration education at the multicultural family support center. Results: In general, the psychometric properties of the Client Satisfaction Questionnaire were satisfactory. Specifically, social validity was supported by 13 professors and local multicultural service center professionals and construct validity was tested and confirmed using a series of exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses. The split-half reliability and internal consistency of the questionnaire were also highly acceptable. Conclusion: The sound psychometric properties of the Client Satisfaction Questionnaire indicates that the it can be a useful tool for evaluating client satisfaction with the services provided by multicultural family support centers.
The number of Healthy Family Support Centers has increased and the services for enhancement of family strength have extended during the past ten years since the Framework Act on Healthy Families was enacted. It is time to pay attention to the empowerment for Healthy Family Specialist because their capability is directly linked to improve the quality of services, which means the satisfaction of family services and the quality of family policy. In this context, this study investigate organizational experience of Healthy Family Specialists and suggest the empowerment plan to enhance their capability. We conducted in-depth interviews for 9 Healthy Family Specialists who is currently working at Healthy Family Support Centers as a manager status during June 2014. We analyzed organizational experiences through job commitment and job satisfaction and empowerment plans through their strength and weakness. Our findings revealed that job commitment and job satisfaction of Healthy Family Specialist are relatively low due to a poor working condition and a low brand awareness. Also, the capability of Healthy Family Specialists is an important factor to determine their job commitment and job satisfaction, and it can impact on the long service. These results suggest that the payroll system, increment of salary, career recognition, employee benefit, systematic operation, and motivation are needed to improve their job satisfaction. There are various ways to improve professional capability of Healthy Family Specialists besides education program. This study contributes to make the plan of empowerment for Healthy Family Specialists and it also contributes to improve the service quality of family policy.
The purpose of this study is to provide background information to help develop family-friendly policies which aid in the ability for employees to balance family and work, and to increase the effectiveness and feasibility of these policies at work sites. We surveyed the performance and usage of work-family balance policies among working mothers with young children. We also examined the factors influencing the job satisfaction of working mothers. The study sample consisted of 237 working mothers with young children. We found that family economic status, working mother's experience of family leave or maternity leave, and easiness of policy use are important factors in a working mother's job satisfaction. Especially when individual and job characteristics are controlled, the most influential factor on working mothers' job satisfaction was the experience of family leave or maternity leave. In addition, the easiness of family-friendly policy use was a significant factor in working mothers' job-satisfaction.
The purposes of this study were to examine the general levels of family strength, self-determination and life satisfaction perceived by university students. Also, this study aimed to verify the mediating effect of self-determination between family strength and life satisfaction. The subjects of this study were 350 university students in Korea and surveyed by self-reported questionnaires. The data was analysed by descriptive statistics, correlation, regression analysis, and Sobel test using SPSS 20.0. The results of the analysis were as follows. First, the levels of family strength, self-determination, life satisfaction perceived by university students were found to be higher than the middle score. Second, in the process of verification for seeking mediating effect of students' self-determination between family strength and life satisfaction, step1 showed that family strength revealed significant effects on life satisfaction level(${\beta}=.62$, p<.001). And in step2, family strength affected students' self-determination significantly(${\beta}=.47$, p<.001). Step3 which used family strength(${\beta}=.33$, p<.001) and self-determination(${\beta}=.62$, p<.001) together showed that self-determination had mediating effects between family strength and life satisfaction of students. It was proved significantly by Sobel test(Z=8.83, p<.001). Therefore, in order to enhance life satisfaction of university students, integrative services and systematic intervention programs as family education are required.
패밀리 레스토랑은 서비스 산업이라 해도 과언이 아니다. 서비스 운영자 혹은 서비스 제공자의 역할은 고객과의 접촉순간(MOT : Moment Of Truth)에 고객의 요구 및 욕구를 충족시켜 고객에게 제공하는 가치를 극대화하여 서비스 상품의 판매 향상을 도모하고자 하는 것이다. 향후 패밀리 레스토랑은 하드웨어(hard ware)측면보다 내적으로 어떤 서비스를 질적으로 나타낼 수 있느냐 하는 소프트웨어(soft ware)가 더욱 강조될 추세이다. 따라서 본 연구의 목적은 패밀리레스토랑 종사원들의 직무만족이 서비스품질에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 연구하고자 하는 것이다. 본 연구의 대상은 대구전역에 위치하고 있는 패밀리 레스토랑에 근무하는 종사원을 연구대상으로 하였다. 조사기간은 2004년 4월 1일부터 5월 20일까지 50일간에 걸쳐 실시하였다. 실증분석 결과, 본 연구에서 제시한 7개의 가설 가운데 4개가 유의한 것으로 검증되었다.
The purpose of this study was to assess middle-aged married men and women's access to family resources (economic and relationship) and to examine how this affects their life satisfaction. Data were drawn from the second wave of the Korean Longitudinal Study of Ageing (KLoSA). The sample consisted of 3,265 middle-aged married men and women aged between 45 and 60, who had children. The collected data were analyzed using multiple regression, ANOVA and the Scheff$\acute{e}$ctest using SPSS 18.0 The results showed that there was significant difference between men and women in terms of their access to economic and human relationship resources. In addition, the life satisfaction of the middle-aged was found to be significantly predicted by their access to economic and human relationship resources. In particular, the life satisfaction of group (A), who had low economic resource access but high family relationship satisfaction, was found to be higher than that of group (B), who had access to high economic resources but had low family relationship satisfaction This result indicated that there was an interaction effect between family resources. A number of policy implications were made.
Object: This study investigated the effect of self-esteem on depression through family relations satisfaction and tested whether working types would moderate such associations. Method: The subjects were 2,145 elderly who are healthy enough to work and were selected for the ninth Korean Welfare Panel Study. The resulting data were analysed by using the statistical program SPSS 2.1 with reference to steps for testing mediation by Baron and Kenny, moderated mediation by Heyes. Results: Self-esteem has both direct and indirect significant effects, revealing that family relations satisfaction fully mediates the effects of coping strategies of family conflict on depression. From the working types, self-employed/employer and unpaid family worker, moderate the indirect effect of self-esteem on depression through family relations satisfaction. Conclusions: In practical intervention of elderly depression reduction, efforts to increase family relations satisfaction is effective when it is difficult to us address satisfaction. Moreover, we have to provide intervention for elderly with work in context of relationship of individual and familial factor.
The present study investigated the effect of area-specific social networks on urban workers life satisfaction. For this, 356 adults over age 20 were interviewed from June 17th 2013 to June 29th 2013. The findings are as follows: First, the closeness of family network index demonstrates that participants with higher affective support have higher life satisfaction. In addition, stronger extended family network brings more life satisfaction and so does a bigger friendship network. Secondly, the extended family network explains 17.6% of the variance in social networks follows by family network, other network, and friendship network, respectively. The closeness variable of social networks yields statistical significance on all categories of networks. The affective support level in the closeness variable of social networks shows differences as well; family network positively associates with life satisfaction. The purposes of this research are to investigate the actual conditions of urban workers' life satisfaction and the influence of family, extended family, friendship, and other variables on life satisfaction. If social networks have an influence on life satisfaction, to find the domain of social networks that holds the most influences on life satisfaction is an important ground in the process of implementing regional welfare.
The purposes of this study were to find the correlation of family abuse experience, social maladaptation, ego resilience and daily life satisfaction in university students, and to explore the mediating role between ego resilience between family abuse experience, social maladaptation and daily life satisfaction. The subjects were 265 university students. The data were analyzed with frequency, Pearson's correlation and structural equation modeling by SPSS and AMOS. Instruments were Bradburn(1969)'s The Structure of Psychological Well-being, Olson and Barnes(1982)' Quality of Life, Straus(1988)'s CTSPC(Parent-Child Conflict Tactics Scales), Shin(2001)'s social maladaptation of Korean General Health, and Block and Kremen(1996)'s ego resilience. The major findings were as follows; Family abuse experience and social maladaptation were negatively correlated with ego resilience and daily life satisfaction. Ego resilience was positively correlated with daily life satisfaction. Ego resilience mediated the effects of family abuse experience, social maladaptation and daily life satisfaction. Family abuse experience and social maladaptation negatively influenced ego resilience and daily life satisfaction. Ego resilience positively influenced daily life satisfaction. Thus special education program and counseling should be provided to increase university students' daily life satisfaction through in order to built ego resilience.
The purpose of this study is to investigate that how much do middle and high school students feel stress and life satisfaction in usual life : how much do stress affect their life satisfaction : and which variables affect their stress and life satisfaction. The samples are 235 middle and high school students in Kangneung, The results of this study are summarized as belows; First. In the case of student’s stress, it is perceived that the degree of school life stress is higher than that of family life stress. And the level of family life satisfaction is higher than that the level of school life satisfaction. Second. the students who perceived a lower level of stress showed the higher life satisfaction. The family life stress is a more influential variable than school life stress to life satisfaction Third, the variables that affect the student’s life satisfaction are sex, the school achievement, the perception on the level of living, communication with the family. the relationship with the teacher and the family life stress. These variables account for about 58.8% of the variance of the student’s life satisfaction.
