  • This study was initiated to explore the Christian educational challenges of building a "Peer Consciousness" in North and South Korea after reunification. During the period of division, North and South Korea have became heterogeneous in almost all elements of society, including politics, economy, culture, and education. Considering the various social conflicts that the two heterogeneous societies will experience in the process of reunification, the issue of social integration is no longer a side issue of institutional integration or economic integration, but has become an essential element in itself. This is why the Korean church and Christian scholars need to study in depth the social conflicts and integration issues that may arise before and after reunification. For the study, we analyzed the forms of social conflict based on the theory of ''Human Needs Theory', which states that human needs are the conditions for social conflict. Social conflicts stem from the unfulfillment of various human needs, which in turn extend to identity conflicts that seek to form a sense of belonging. In light of the case of unified Germany, where social conflicts converged into identity conflicts, I predicted that conflicts in unified Korea will soon become identity conflicts. The direction of Christian education that should suture the conflicts in the post-reunification society was derived from theological reflection on the concept of 'publicness of Christian education' and 'kingdom of God'. As a concrete educational plan for social integration, I presented the discourse of love of God and love of neighbor through Christian education for dual identity as a citizen and disciple, and emphasized the need for re-socialization education through faith communities

  • The purpose of this study is to explore the educational philosophy that is the basis for the establishment of Christian alternative schools and the curriculum that is the standard for educational practice accordingly, and to understand in depth the educational philosophy and curriculum, what characteristics are common in each type in the school field. This study also explored the main factors that lead to educational practice in the curriculum. In order to explore these research questions, this study was conducted using interview that is one of the qualitative studies. The subjects of this study are 16 teachers selected from the three types of Christian alternative schools that exist in Korea. Based on our findings and discussion, this study was presented several suggestions. First, in the reality that parents are sending their children to alternative schools for their faith, school leaders and teachers must practice sincere faith education with deep reflection. Second, in order for Christian alternative schools to fulfill their responsibilities as schools and continue to provide a valuable education, it is necessary to integrate Christian worldviews and academics through cooperation with allied organizations. Third, in order to reduce the burden of parents' excessive educational expenses, there should be a civic effort to request financial support from the nation at least for school operating expenses.

  • As the representative of the convergence of broadcasting and communication, the data service was expected to be a new profit source of the related industries. The data service, however, has not satisfied the expectation due to the short of killer services that make it popular with the viewers. According to the several survey reports, a lot of viewers do internet-searching using the key-words related to the TV program they are watching and, with the faith in the survey results, several trials has been performed to port established PC-based searching systems onto TV-set only to fail to get popularity among viewers. The failures are mainly caused that they did not sufficiently consider the viewers' modality that viewers seriously want not to be obstructed by anything when they are absorbed in a program. This paper proposes an MHP-based searching data service designed to minimally interrupt the viewers watching a TV program and to be synchronized with a TV program by using the searching key-words relative to it, the content of which changes as time goes on.

On the breastpiece were twelve beautiful jewels, arranged in four rows of three jewels, each jewel symbolizing one of the tribes of Israel. • This study is intended to examine the common features of costume images in science-fiction (SF) movies that deal with current socio-cultural situations by examining their themes and tones about the future it can be generally concluded that costume images of SF movies are divided into two patterns : one inheriting traditional styles constructed on linear progress and the other based on dismantiling the tradition. this analysis is made through the research of actual cinematic contexts on the common features of multiple styles shaping the two patterns of costume images. The results can be summarized as the following: The former is related with the future built up on the basis of belief in reasonal progress rooted in the Enlightenment reasonable plan for ideal social order and strong faith in uniformity. So It shows functional uniformity disregarding wasteful competitiveness in consumption and luxuriousness and clothing that has the aesthetic value of purity without emphasizing human body or sensuality are presented. On the other hand SF movies which show the uncertain costume image as the meaning of dismantling of tradition take up a rather critical view of assumption that society can move toward utopian future as it searches future images in the notion of hetero-topia by emphasizing pluralism consequently as for clothing diversity and uncertainty in post-modern style are presented destroying modernistic dichotomy and the assumption of Utopian clothing made in the notion of modern progressivism.

  • In medical malpractice lawsuits, negligence is generally defined as conduct that is culpable because it falls short of what a reasonable person would do to protect another individual from a foreseeable risks of harm. Thus, the essence of negligence is a breach of obligations to be attentive, and the breach of obligations to be is negligence. However, whether negligence is or not depends on time, place, litigation forms and the judge since the meaning of negligence is wavering on the basis of abstract and normative judgment. In this thesis, what is medical negligence, a breach of obligations of attention for a doctor in medical malpractice lawsuits, would be it further enacted that doctors have the responsibility to protect the patients as a subordinate duty due to a principle of faith and sincerity besides the main duty for medical contract-performance since the suit is a litigation form to be based on responsibilities of experts, especially doctors, though having factors that are non-contractual as a trait for medical treatment. Further on the concept, when the plaintiff asserts and proves a specific fact from the recent moderation of the burden of proof about medical malpractices, whether the court should find a true bill in medical malpractice actually or not has been discussed.

  • This paper is to analyze how Walt Whitman developed the theme and structure of Leaves of Grass with his ideal of democratic vistas. Whitman established his identity as an inspired poet, having faith in the divinity of man based on transcendental belief. After being awakened to the transcendental truth, he practiced his own common world view--his democratic vistas. Whitman searched for the unity with nature and identified his self with "common man and his nation." The poetry expresses "cosmological and national ideology" dedicated to the creation of an ideal nation united in eternal freedom and peace. By portraying common cosmic and national theme in terms of his individual personality, he brought various paradoxical and controversial ideas into one thing, namely "democracy", fusing diversity into unity. As in the symbol of the grass, there is a unity in variety reflected by democracy in a cosmological and political compound. With the form of free verse, he could express his liberal unrestrained and mystical thoughts of democracy. This new form has been associated with the poet's strong consciousness of the need for modernization in his country. He willingly assumed "the role of prophet and public voice for American democrat" with the rolling catalogues and I-persona which formed a sense of the common man and common things of America. Whitman pioneered a democrat literature with simple and dynamic tone and style. He successively pursued the democratic vistas in his Leaves of Grass.
