  • Medium and high speed marine diesel engines with reduction gear have been widely used as prime mover in small car ferries and fishing vessels. The elastic coupling should be installed and complemented the propulsion shafting system to isolate the vibratory torque between engine and reduction gear. In this paper, the dynamic characteristics of elastic coupling with rubber type circular segments is confirmed by theoretical analysis using the FEM and the hydraulic excitation test at shop. Further adaptation was investigated with the torsional vibration test at diesel engine factory shop.

  • Chemical facility system have dangerous elements that can injure the human like an explosion and a fire, gas poisoning by a leakage of the harmful chemical material. In addition to a vibration of the machine occurs the leakage. Therefore, the chemical factory requires for periodic monitoring of the vibration. But, until now, the operator has executed a monitoring of the machine by the senses. So, the diagnostic expert system by which the operator can judge easily and expertly a condition of the machine is developed.   • The lithography system installed inside precision industry's (e.g. TFT-LCD) production factories are increasing in size, thereby increasing its dynamic load along with it. Such condition causes vibration within the area where the system is installed, which then negatively affects the production line to produce defective products. To prevent this type of situation, the facilities should adopt dynamic design that considers the lithography system's dynamic load. This study predicts the maximum value allowed for dynamic stiffness (which is a ratio of vibration response against a single unit of the dynamic load) of the lithography system and explains the result of its application on actual structures inside the facilities.

지반진동이 건물의 균열에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 -부산 안산암지역을 대상으로- (A Study of Effects on Building for Cracks by Ground Vibration -Pusan Andesite-)

  • A study was made on crack developments of the nearly building due to rock blasting for road construction at the 623 Common Block near the rear side of the Gamchun Habor. The gelogy of the study area is composed of andesite, which belongs to the Kyungsang System of the Cretaceous Period. For 3 months of blasting events, the vibration velocity data were measured at the site just in front of the K freezing factory. The data were divided into 4 groups according to the period of blasting(i.e, DATA 1, DATA 2, DATA 3 and DATA 4), for deriving K and n values. As a result, DATA 1 shows that K and n were 83.3756 and -0.848, respectively, and then K and n were progressively increased in absolute values for the follow-up groups and the last DATA 4 shows K and n were 2980.4898 and -1.502, respectively. Such differences in K and n values may be due to partly : 1) variations geological characteristics, from the upper rather weathered, fisssuring soft rocks at the earlier stage less weathered and fissuring hard rocks at the later stage of blasting events, and 2) the geometry between the blasting and detecting points.Among the total count of 225 blasting events, the number exceeding the safety limits of 0.5cm/sec was 20(8.9% of the total), the maximum displacement detected at the crack gage was 0.25mm, the level of which is far less to cause the occurrence and development of any cracks to the K factory. Therefore, it was confirmed that there were no damages such as structural failure or safety problem to the building.

  • Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor(PMSM)는 볼스크류, 기어 및 타이밍 벨트를 이용하여 NC, 가공기, 로봇 및 공장 자동화를 포함하여 산업 시스템 전반에 널리 사용되고 있다. 이러한 PMSM과 부하의 결합으로 구성된 시스템은 동력의 전달에 있어서, 고유의 공진 주파수를 가지며 공진 주파수 대역에서의 기계계의 응답 특성은 매우 불안정하고, 기계 시스템의 손상을 일으키게 된다. 본 논문에서는 PMSM을 이용한 직선 운동 시스템에서 기계적인 결합에 의한 기구부의 진동을 억제하기 위하여 진동 주파수를 자동으로 검출하여, 진동의 원인이 되는 토크 지령 신호를 억제하는 적응형 노치 필터를 포함하는 속도 제어 시스템을 제안한다. 하지만, 기계적인 진동 주파수와 주파수의 대역은 전동기에 결합된 결합 기구 및 부하에 따라서 변동하는 특성을 가지고 기계적인 진동의 크기도 진동원이 되는 신호에 따라 변동하므로, 이를 적응형 노치 필터부에서 이를 진단하여 진동 주파수를 자동으로 억제함으로써 안정적인 운전이 가능하도록 설계된다. 본 논문에서 제안된 기계적인 진동을 억제하기 위한 적응형 노치 필터의 성능은 시뮬레이션 및 실험을 통하여 검증하였다.

다채널 진동 모니터링 장치 개발 (Development of the Multichannel Vibration Monitoring System)

  • 산업현장에서의 회전체 기기의 유지보수안전관리를 위한 설비에 대한 설계에 대한 연구이다. 중급 진동 모니터링 시스템 시장에 진입하기 위한 다채널 설비 자가 진단 모니터링 장치를 개발하였고, 이 시스템의 특징은 확장성과 유연성을 부여하였다. 한 개의 신호를 처리하기 위해서는 한 개의 독립적 채널이 필요하나, 개발된 제품은 신호 처리 카드 한 장이 4채널을 처리하다. 한 개 랙에는 독립적인 이중화 전원장치, 디스플레이가 설치되어 진동측정값을 별도의 컴퓨터 없이 현장에서 바로 확인할 수 있다. 베어링 결함 감지는 진동 감시의 기본이지만 일반적인 진동 속도나 가속도에서 나타나지 않는 경우가 있다. 따라서 저주파대역의 반복적이지 않은 진동은 필터링하고 진폭 변조 시키는 기술이 기속도 엔벨로핑 기술이다. 이 기술이 적용된 진동 분석 장비를 개발하였다. 개발된 시제품은 진동오차 범위에서 작동함을 보여주었다.

  • Transport systems which are the important part of the factory automation have much influence on improving productivity. Object transport systems are driven typically by the magnetic field and conveyer belt. In recent years, as the transmission and processing of information is required more quickly, demands of optical elements and semiconductors increase. However, conventional transport systems are not adequate for transportation of those. The reason is that conveyor belts can damage precision optical elements by the contact force and magnetic systems can destroy the inner structure of semiconductor by the magnetic field. In this paper, the levitation transport system using ultrasonic wave is developed for transporting precision elements without damages. Vibration modes of each flexural beam are verified by using Laser Scanning Vibrometer.

  • This paper shows a whole noise quality checking system for the new developed 6th speed automatic transmission manufactured in USA. Due to demand for manufacturing of the high NVH quality transmissions in the mass product line, some special checking system called EOL NVH is adapted. This EOL system is using vibration sensor and analysis technologies. Through adapting vibration analysis technologies and functions likewise RMS, crest factor, harmonics, peak, band and order tracking, various noise problems caused by wear, nick and deformations could be successfully detected and predicted. Therefore, automatic transmissions manufactured in the USA could get high NVH quality. The developing process described in this paper and results on EOL system will offer good guides to the engineers who built the next transmission factory.

  • The diagnosis and monitoring system of abnormal cutting condition is necessary to realize precision machining proces and factory automation, which are final goal of metal cutting in order to develop this system, theimage processing technique has been investigated in machining process. In theis paper, the measurement system of tool wear using computer vision is designed to detect the wear pattern by non-contact and direct method and get the realiable wear information about cutting tool. We measured the area of the side and front part of the diamond core dril which is used in 40kHz ultrasonic vibration machine.

  • In this paper, micro step driving method is used for the high performance motion control and low vibration and low noise in an X-Y axis soldering machine for factory automation. The improvement of the electrical and mechanical driving characteristic of a stepping motor is achieved by applying microstep driver.
