고층 주거건물 프로젝트에서 발생하는 폐기물 발생패턴 및 발생 유발 요인 분석 (Patterns and Factors Causing Construction Waste Generation in High-Rise Housing Projects in Korea : A Case Study)

  • 국내외적으로 환경에 대한 관심과 규제가 강화되고 있는 가운데 건설산업 차원에서도 이에 대응하기 위해 친환경적인 건축 생산시스템을 구축할 필요성이 있다. 친환경적인 건축생산시스템의 일환으로 건설시공단계에서 발생하는 폐기물을 최소화하고 재활용률을 최대화할 수 있다면 친환경적인 건설생산시스템 구축에 기여할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 경제적인 효과도 얻을 수 있을 것이다. 본 연구는 이러한 효과적인 폐기물 관리시스템 구축을 위한 선행 작업으로써 20층 이상 고층 공동주택단지에서 발생하는 폐기물의 발생시점부터 처리시점까지의 폐기물 발생패턴을 파악하고, 이를 기반으로 시공단계에서 건설폐기물 발생을 유발하는 주요 요인을 도출하였다. 사례조사를 통해 폐기물 발생패턴으로서 폐기물 종류, 발생량, 발생위치, 관리주체, 발생원인, 재활용폐기물, 집적형태, 반출방식을 조사하였고, 이들 항목 중 폐기물 발생에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 주요폐기물 발생 유발요인을 제시하였다.

공동주택 건축공사의 공종별 폐기물의 종류와 발생원인 분석 (An Analysis of Classification and Causes for Construction Waste of Apartment Building Projects)

  • Each year the amount of construction wastes increases at a rapid pace. Particularly, wastes from apartment housing projects that make up 89.14% of the total construction projects have increased about 48% as compared with those of the year 2000. Construction wastes are therefore rising as an issue related to environmental problems and disposal costs. And there are ongoing studies of the disposal, control and recycling of construction wastes. Mitigation measures for the wastes, however, have been a rare subject of research that focuses on waste-generating factors by activity during apartment housing projects. Given that, the purpose of this study was to categorize construction wastes by work type and to identify the factors causing wastes in order to reduce them. This study investigated the amount of the wastes from apartment housing constructions by activity as related to disposal costs, and examined causes in the ordering, transport, material management and construction stage, respectively. The analysis results will likely bring about expectation effects that help reduce the generation of the wastes by establishing action plans.

정석탈인공정의 정석재로써 폐굴껍질의 재활용에 관한 연구 (A Study on Recycling of Waste Oyster Shells as Seed Crystals in Phosphorous Crystallization Process)

  • The technology of removing phosphorous, considered as one of the most important control nutrients causing eutrophication in various water bodies, have been investigated by many researchers. Recently, phosphorous crystallization process is emerging as a new technology for phosphorous removal. In this study, waste oyster shells which can be easily obtained from the ocean, were used as a seed crystal, and their effects of several physical/chemical factors on the phosphorous removal efficiencies were examined by batch tests. Ca$^{2+}$ and pH affected phosphorous crystallization process using waste oyster shells. As alkalinity of wastewater increased, phosphorous removal efficiencies gradually decreased. Phosphorous removal efficiencies were increased, as specific area and contact efficiency per unit area of waste oyster shells were increased. In case of high temperature, phosphorous crystallization process was rapidly advanced and phosphorous removal efficiencies were increased. Dependig on X-ray diffraction analysis, it was showed that generation materials extracted from the surface of waste oyster shells with short reaction time were dominated by $CaHPO_4\cdot 2H_2O$, but progressed to $Ca_5(OH)(PO_4)_3$. The SEM observation reveals that the evident variations were hardly seen, but particle sizes of waste oyster shells were relatively bigger and showed forms of smaller plate than before.
