  • The accelerating of industrial development causes electricity demand to increase. By that power equipments need high power, multi function and intelligence. Also consumers demand for guarantee power supplying of good quality and reasonable operating equipment. Also they require for reliance and stabilization of power facility. Therefore preventive maintenance of electric installation must be developed and improvement of domestic technical level is needed in the maintenance management of equipment. The diagnosis of trouble existence is technique that compares steady state with unusual condition, whereas the prediction technique makes a diagnosis of remaining equipments life. It is difficult for us to diagnose trouble existence of electric installation and to develop prediction method in building because of a wide scope for electric installation in building. And in this paper we will investigate diagnosis and prediction method for only switch part of electric installation in building.

  • At this present, the world is in the era of digital and culture.Tourist resources through cultural infrastructure have been a crucial factor of a country's competitiveness. A Museum is tourism resource facility like one of core cultural infrastructures which provides experiential culture, history and tradition. The field of a planning and a design for a museum should be recognized like professional design industry.n Korea, the government has various laws and systems to support the design promotion policy but it is not sufficient. If you plan to extend the scope of the maintenance of law and institutions As today 'Exhibition Industry Development Act, which is responsible for maintenance, including a permanent exhibition area in the exhibition industry facilities will be efficient alternative. And also, it would like to analyze states of the orders in the exhibition design industry for past five years (2010 ~ 2014) and show the problems and alternatives. Exhibition business-related orders investigation into the recent five years to analyze and suggest improvements. In the delivery method it was found three types of goods, the services, the delivery method through the analysis of the enforcement order to the Corporation and that are mixed.If these alternatives has been reviewed and used for basic data to promote professional companies and designers for museums, it must be expected to be well worth a careful study.

  • The diagnosis of the failure for the existing electrical facilities was based on regular preventive maintenance, but this preventive maintenance was limited in preventing a lot of cost loss and sudden system failure. To overcome these shortcomings, fault prediction and diagnostic techniques are critical to increasing system reliability by monitoring electrical installations in real time and detecting abnormal conditions in the facility early. As the performance and quality deterioration problem occurs frequently due to the increase in the number of users of the motor pump, the purpose is to build an intelligent control system that can control the motor pump to maximize the performance and to improve the quality and reliability. To this end, a vibration sensor, temperature sensor, pressure sensor, and low water level sensor are used to detect vibrations, temperatures, pressures, and low water levels that can occur in the motor pump, and to build a system that can identify and diagnose information to users in real time.

  • This study aims to make a revitalizing plan for managing and maintaining of facilities which were installed after the rural development projects. The survey was conducted to examine some issues of operating facilities from the developing plan. There were some factors that should be considered in the establishment stage of the project plan when promoting rural development projects. Among them, the preservation and maintenance of rurality, consistency with business plans, connectivity with local resources, and ease of maintenance were less reflective than its importance. And for each facility, systematic consulting on appropriate scale and operational management plans and detailed planning is needed.. It's also necessary to plan action so that the local community can lead. The current or future rural development project will be succeeded when local governments support to strengthening their local groups or people's abilities.

  • The function and purpose of the marine rubber fender, to prevent the damage of the ship and the mooring while the ship is being attached to the pier. However, maintenance of the fender after installation is not enough, because it is generally handled as an attachment facility. Estimation the life of a marine rubber fender is important in the maintenance of a port. When manufacturers design and produce marine rubber fenders, they do so according to various conditions such as the reaction force acting on the hull and docking vessel and deformation after absorbing the kinetic energy of the ship. In this study, a method for predicting and evaluating service life from the product design and development stage was established, in order to evaluate the durability of the marine rubber fenders. The SSp-300H and HSP-300H models were used to predict the service life. The method developed in this study, is expected to predict the service life of the marine rubber fender accurately and in a comparatively shorter time, thereby contributing to the evaluation standard and quality stability of the product.

Estimation of spatial parameters to be included in 3D mapping for long-term forest road management

  • Point cloud-based 3D maps can obtain many kinds of information for maintenance work on forest road networks. This study was conducted to compare the importance of each factor to select the factors required for the mapping of 3D forest road maps. This can be used as basic data for attribute information required to maintain forest road networks. The results of this study found that out of a total of 30 indexes extracted for mapping 3D forest roads, a total of 21 indexes related to stakeholder groups were significantly different. The importance of the index required by the civil service group was significantly higher than that of the other groups overall. In the case of the academic group, the index importance for cut slope, fill slope, and drainage facility was significantly higher. On the other hand, the index importance for the forestry cooperative and forest professional engineer group was mostly distributed between the civil servants' group and the academic group. In particular, the type of drainage system showed the highest value among the detailed indexes. Overall, drainage related factors in this survey had high coefficient values. The impact of water on forest roads was the most important part in road maintenance. In addition, the soil texture had a high value in relation to slope stability. This is thought to be because the texture of the soil affects the stability of the slope.

  • The aim of this study is to grasp how the dwellers of apartment cognize the real condition of the management such as general control of janitor office or management of maintenance, environment, account and imposing price of management. The analysed results of recognition are as following. First, as the dwellers judged that the janitors are incapable to control dispute among the households, it needs to develop the ability to cope with the demand of control dispute by various curriculum. There should be more strict management of parking lot for the handicapped. Second, it needs to establish the plan to improve maintenance of the rest facility. Third, as dwellers thought the management expenses not to be made public clearly, it needs to use various way, not only by neighborhood meeting but also information system such as establishing web page or E-mail notice for better announcement of the settled matters such as management expenses. Forth, the audit result of management expenses and the measures conducted after audit should be reported widely, contract of construction work services needs to be publicized by neighborhood meeting or other information system.

Relationship between the Tidal Range in Sea Level and Damage of Domestic Port Facility (해수면 조위차와 항만시설물의 손상과의 관계 분석)

  • In this study, a basic research was conducted to establish a maintenance plan considering the environmental factors and deterioration characteristics of port facilities. The precise safety diagnosis reports for Incheon and Busan port facilities were referenced to examine the extent of deterioration and damage. The relationship with the degradation environmental assessment presented in the current guidelines was also analyzed. The analysis of the damage level of Incheon and Busan port facilities revealed that Incheon Port exhibited approximately three times higher damage rate compared to Busan Port. In the case of Incheon Port, reinforcement corrosion and external damage showed similar proportions, while in Busan Port, reinforcement corrosion had a higher proportion compared to external damage. On the other hand, when comparing with the degradation environmental assessment presented in the guidelines, it was found that there were some limitations in performing quantitative evaluation based on the guidelines for assessing port facilities. Therefore, an analysis based on tidal range was conducted by referring to existing literature. The analysis of tidal range in Incheon and Busan regions showed that Incheon had approximately five times higher difference compared to Busan. It is considered that this can be utilized as a differentiated item from existing degradation environmental assessment criteria.

  • A Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is better than a conventional network for use in construction and Operations and Maintenance (O&M) because of its lower surveillance system cost. However, effective operation of a WSN is often difficult to obtain because the surveillance targets are usually fixed inside the building or underground. Therefore, this environmental constraint should be considered in the design of the WSN plant equipment surveillance system prior to installation. This study employs simulations of WSN-based fixed facility surveillance using the TinyOS TOSSIM simulator to investigate ideal types and setups of the WSN. Simulation target protocols included LEACH and flooding and gossiping protocols. The results show that the hierarchically-structured LEACH protocol demonstrated better load-balancing and efficiency than the flatly-structured flooding and gossiping protocol.

Cost-Effectiveness Analysis of Low-Impact Development Facilities to Improve Hydrologic Cycle and Water Quality in Urban Watershed (도시유역의 물순환 및 수질 개선을 위한 저영향개발 시설의 비용 효율 분석)

  • As urbanization and impermeable areas have increased, stormwater and non-point pollutants entering the stream have increased. Additionally, in the case of the old town comprising a combined sewer pipe system, there is a problem of stream water pollution caused by the combined sewer overflow. To resolve this problem, many cities globally are pursuing an environmentally friendly low impact development strategy that can infiltrate, evaporate, and store rainwater. This study analyzed the expected effects and efficiency when the LID facility was installed as a measure to improve hydrologic cycle and water quality in the Oncheon stream in Busan. The EPA-SWMM, previously calibrated for hydrological and water quality parameters, was used, and standard parameters of the LID facilities supported by the EPA-SWMM were set. Benchmarking the green infrastructure plan in New York City, USA, has created various installation scenarios for the LID facilities in the Oncheon stream drainage area. The installation and maintenance cost of the LID facility for scenarios were estimated, and the effect of each LID facility was analyzed through a long-term EPA-SWMM simulation. Among the applied LID facilities, the infiltration trench showed the best effect, and the bio-retention cell and permeable pavement system followed. Conversely, in terms of cost-efficiency, the permeable pavement systems showed the best efficiency, followed by the infiltration trenches and bio-retention cells.
