A simulation analysis of PV application method effect on electric power performance in an apartment wall facade (아파트 입면형 PV적용방식의 발전성능효과해석 연구)

  • The objective of this study is to investigate the effect of building integrated PV application method on power generation. PV modules were integrated to a hypothetical apartment building facade in Seoul, Korea. Three different design options of PV panel mounted on exterior wall were developed for the analysis of cooling effects through ventilation. Numerical simulations using TRNSYS coupled with COMIS were executed to evaluate the design options. Their facade configurations are such as vertically installed PV panels with or without air gap between PV rear surface and exterior wall surface, and the tilted PV panels attached to the exterior wall at an angle of to the horizontal. Parametric results show that there is little difference regardless of the air 9ap width between PV rear surface and exterior wall surface. Special strategies which could effectively cool a PV panel to increase the electric power are required if we prefer to a vertical facade configuration in a building integrated PV installation. Consequently, it is expected that there is no reason for architect to install vertically PV panels with air gap unless active strategies are considered.

  • Urban is made over a long period of time. In the process, architecture involves design characteristics of age and place. In the case of modem western style architecture, just depend on the economic logic, they are continuously threatened during urban changes. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to recognize modern western style architecture as valuable things, which represents color of urban, and to seek how it can be reused. This is a process in order to find a new method for conservation and reuse of modern western style architecture. The result are as followings. Modern western style architecture must be recognized as resource, which expresses identity of urban, and found a method for conservation and reuse of facade at least. So we need to search design characteristics of facade. It has been analyzed that assigned modem western style architecture in seoul can be divided into 6 groups. Each group has individual characteristics of facade expression, which is 'dormer', 'vent', 'balustrade', 'cornice', 'dome', 'tower', etc in top part, and 'the shape of window and door', 'the element of ornament', 'finish', etc in middle part.

  • Photovoltaic(PV) permit the on-site production of electricity without concern for fuel supply or environmental adverse effects. The electrical power is produced without noise and little depletion of resources. So BIPV(Building-Integrated Photovoltaic) system have been increased around the world. Hereby the relative installation costs of the system will be relatively low compared to traditional installations of PV in high-rise buildings. This paper examined possibility of BIPV system of cold facade type and analyzed of performance of BIPV system of cold facade type. The system is influenced by conditions such as irradiation, module temperature, shade and architectural component etc. If this BIPV system of 1.1kW is possible the natural ventilation in the summer case, the temperature of PV module decrease and then the efficiency of PV system increase generally. By the results, the annual averaged PR of BIPV system of cold facade type is about 73.1%.

  • This study is to examine architectural designers' views on the correlations between components and contextual principle of the roadside building facade with the roadside building facade on the border of Asian Culture Center in Gwangju which is expected to undergo a great change by public policies. For setting direction of the roadside building management at the region examined, height of facade, advertisement/signboard, security of continuity through surface pattern management, nodes building, array of height by story, awning/arcade and locality of advertisement/signboard should be induced to design with locality and consideration of local characteristics with silhouette, window and external colors is needed for discrimination from other cities. Regarding the realization method important thing was found that the planning and implementation of architectural design guidelines, architectural aesthetics of the pre-hearing enhancement, active citizen participation, and then additional landscape screening system, incentive schemes, landscape designation of landscape zone was found to be a major realization system.

  • The temperature of PV modules that integrated into building facades or roof increases that could reduce the electrical efficiency of the PV system. In order to incresae PV system's efficiency it is very important to remove the heat from the PV modules. For this purpose, hot air can be extracted from the space between PV modules and building envelope, and used for heating in buildings. The solar collector utilizing this thermal effect is called photovoltaic-thermal(PVT) solar collector. This paper compares the experimental performance of building-integrated PVT collectors that applied on building roof and facade. There are two different case: a roof-integrated PVT type and a facade-integrated PVT type. The experimental results show that the collected thermal energy of the roof-integrated type was 24% higher, compared to that of the facade-integrated.

  • 104 village has kept the landscape of low-income settlements at hillside village as called 'Daldongnae' since 1960s. It has high urban and social values in modern housing history of Korea. This study is to analyze the basic type, transformed type of street facade and also the meaning in the modern housing history. It analyzes basic elements(building elevation, gate, fence) and subsidiary elements(roof form, door, window), and the type of street facade by the composition of the element.

  • 최근 소프트웨어의 다양한 환경에서의 사용으로 다른 시스템과의 통합을 위한 요구가 증가하고 있으며, 소프트웨어 개발이 치고 복잡하게 됨에 따라 유지보수가 어렵게 되었다. 컴포넌트 기반 개발은 이런 문제점과 요구를 해결하기 위한 방법으로 대두되고 있으며, 웹 서비스와의 연동을 통한 기업의 요구사항 변경에 민첩하게 대응되는 방법으로 인식되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 웹 서비스 통한 소프트웨어 개발비용의 감소와 생산성의 향상으로 기업의 요구사항 변경에 대한 민첩성을 보장하기 위한 컴포넌트 기반의 웹 서비스 개발을 제안한다. 이는 컴포넌트의 재사용성과 대체성을 통해 신뢰성과 수정의 용이성을 보장하고자 한다. 이를 위한 웹 서비스 개발 컴포넌트기반의 서비스 지향 아키텍처를 정의하고, 서비스 지향 모델기반 Facade-Backside 컴포넌트를 분석/설계를 통해 웹 서비스 구현 전략에 대해 논한다. Facade-Backside 컴포넌트에서 등록, 검색을 위한 웹 서비스 사례를 제시한다.

  • Recently, solar control facade systems are highlighted due to its low cost and outstanding applicability for green remodeling. However, it has not been long time since the systems were introduced. Therefore, the application study of the solar control system also has been insufficient. In this study, simulated models were developed and three types of solar control systems(i.e., overhang, blind, and screen)are installed in the models. The efficiency of energy savings and investment payback period according to the application of solar control facade system were analyzed.

  • In recent marketing circumstances we passed the days just dealt with products sales and faced Sensitivity Marketing era concluded by merchandise, corporate and brand image. Especially although corporate commercial space is the important strategy factor performing immediate satisfaction, experience,sensitive stimulation and social relationship among customers, most of the domestic firms don't recognize its importance when looking into adopted graphic factors at spaces without consideration for a variety of space function, concept,merchandise and customer satisfaction. In addition the facade, which performs as visual information conveyance, boundaries of architecture and concluding space concept, merchandise image and incoming customer based on linkage between interior and exterior, is the important point. This research specializing the examples of facade design of corporate and brand commercial space including service, purchasing and advertising looks into reflected space identity through facade and theoretical factors for commercial space function, concept, merchandise and customers related facade design and makes alternative plans in order to make a better commercial space identity program.
