외치료법(外治療法)의 이론(理論)과 적응증(適應症)에 대한 사적(史的) 고찰(考察) (A Historical Consideration on the External Treatment theories and diseases for which medicine is efficacious)

  • 1) Objective External treatments have various curative effects. So it had been used to cure various patients. But, it has a limited sphere of application in the present South Korea. Therefore we would like to bring out its sphere of application and detailed method in the oriental medicine classics. 2) Methodologies We have researched external treatment history according to below the procedure. (1) Making a related words list: We have used existing external treatments technical books to make a list. It has been connected with external treatments. It includes not only technical terms, but also general terms. (2) Searching sentence: We have searched sentence that contain terms that related with external treatments. (3) Analysis of related sentence: We have searched and classified sentence by disease. (4) Analysis of external treatment methods. 3) Conclusions From long time ago people have used external treatment to cure various disease. According to the ${\ulcorner}Nei-Jing{\lrcorner}$, hot compress therapy, fumigation therapy and bathing therapy had been used to cure blockage syndrome, muscle disease, carbuncle and cellulitis. Thereafter, a sphere of external treatment had gradually enlarged. (1) After all its sphere had included dermatologic, psychologic, internal, ophthalmic, otolaryngologic, obstetrics, gynecologic, pediatric and surgical diseases. (2) External treatment methods have contained hot compress therapy, fumigation therapy, bathing therapy, application therapy, medication bag therapy, medication plug therapy, medication massotherapy, aroma therapy and so on. (3) Medication types of external treatment have contained ointment, juice, infusion, powder, suppository and so on.

  • According to the literatual study on the external medical trearment of Menorrhalgia and Leucorrhea for gynecologic condition, the results were as follows. 1. Using external medical treatment for Menorrhalgia is to insert vagina theraphy, fumigation theraphy, to wash vagina theraphy, to insert anus theraphy, to apply hot pack theraphy and use with suppository such as BANSUKHWAN(礬石丸), SASANGZASAN(蛇床子散), KUMBONGHYUNGJU(金鳳衡珠) 2. Using external medical treatment for Leucorrhea is washing and fumigation on vagina, to wash vagina, to insert vagina, cleansing theraphy and use with Suppository such as YONGYEOMGO(龍鹽膏), KAMISASANGJASAN(加味蛇床子散), SASANGSACHUNGSEJE(蛇床子洗劑). 3. ANGELICAE GIGANTIS RADIX (當歸) is in mostly general use for external medical treatment of Menorrhalgia and Leucorrhea, in that order ANSU SEMEN(杏仁), EVODIAE FRUCTUS(吳茱萸), TORILIS FRUCTUS (蛇床子), CORYDALIS TUBER(玄胡索), CINIAMOMI CORTEX(肉桂), CARYOPHYLLI FLOS(丁香), ALUMEN(枯白礬), AQUILARIAE LIGNUM (沈香). 4. The efficacy of medicines to use external medical treatment is as follow to help circulation of blood, to warm spleen and stomach, to warm blood, to warm uterus and remove cold, to remove heat and dry moisture, to down heat-product, to contract bloodvessel, to counteract poison and destory virus, to make energy and blood. 5. KUMBONGHYUNGJU, made same size as cherry and shape vagina medicine, use for Menorrhalgia, menstural irregularity, Leucorrhea, it has the efficacy as follow to remove cold and dry moisture, to warm uterus, to help circulation and romove pain, to down moisture-heat.

($SO_2$ 에 의한 들깨(수원(水原) 8호(號))의 엽록체분해(葉綠體分解)에 대하여 (The Effect of $SO_2$ on the Degradation of Chlorophyll in Green perilla (Perilla frutescens Suwon No. 8))

  • 들깨 수원(水原) 8호(號)(Perilla frutescens Suwon No. 8)에 $SO_2$를 접촉(接觸)시켰을 때 일어나는 광합성색소(光合成色素)의 변화(變化)에 대(對)한 $SO_2$농도(濃度), 접촉시간(接觸時間), 광,(光) 활성산소(活性酸素)와 무기(無機) $SO_3\;^{-2}$의 영향(影響)을 관찰분석(觀察分析)한 결과(結果)는 다음과 같다. 1. $SO_2$농도(濃度)가 높아지고 접촉시간(接觸時間)이 길어질수록 피해(被害)가 심해저 엽록소(葉綠素)의 파괴(破壞)도 많았다. 2. $SO_2$ gas접촉에 의하여 엽록소(葉綠素)a가 엽록소(葉綠素)b 보다 쉽게 분해(分解)되었으며 또한 carotinoid도 엽록소(葉綠素)b보다 쉽게 분해(分解)되는 것으로 추정된다. 3. 들깨의 $SO_2$에 의한 엽록소파괴(葉綠素破壞)는 $SO_2$에 의한 직접적(直接的)인 영향(影響)으로 파악되었고, 이 때에 광(光)이 필수적(必須的)으로 필요하며, 물이 광분해(光分解)로 생성(生成)되는 $O_2^-$$SO_2$와 함께 엽록소분해(葉綠素分解)에 중심적(中心的)인 역할을 하는 물질이었다.

한국 서식 흰개미의 특성과 방제 (Characteristic of Termite inhabits in South Korea and the control)

  • There are about 2,000 species of termite in the World, but one species of termite inhabits in the southern part of Korean peninsula. Termites are social insects that live in colonies. The colonies are composed of king, queen, soldiers and workers. Termite food consists of cellulose obtained from wood. Protozoa in their digestive tracts convert the cellulose into usable food. Korean termite is a subspecies of Reticulitermes speratus Kolbe, Rhinotermitidae. It's subterranean termite and the scientic name is R. speratus kyushensis Morimoto. The subterranean termite must nest in the soil in order to survival, and infest soft-wood which contact with the soil near the nest. There are several ways which subterranean termite infestations can be noticed. Atcertain times of the year during daylight hours, king and queen termites emerge from the colonies. The propose of these flight is to establish new colonies. The termite is a decomposer of biological ecosystem, but an invader in the preservation of cultural properties as like wood buildings. There are serveral control methods for the prevention of wood building from termite's damages. Those are biological control, ecological control, physical control and chemical control. Ecological and Physical control are the best methods in the new constructing wood-building. Fumigation which is a method of chemical control, is the best method for the building damaged by the termite. After the fumigation, we have totake wood & soil treatments for the building and nearby in order not to be reinvaded by the termites.

침전·훈증처리 소나무재선충병 피해목의 휨강도성능 및 경도에 관한 연구 (The Effect of Soaking and Fumigation Treatments on Bending Properties and Hardness of Pine Wilt Disease Infected Wood)

  • This study used pine wilt disease damaged trees as raw materials. The damaged woods were subjected to soaking treatment using wood vinegar, nematicide and sea water, fumigated treatment using fumigation, and the bending strength and hardness of the timber were measured at different points of time after the treatment. In soaking treatment, the highest bending strength was obtained from wood vinegar (100 fold dilution)-soaked specimens of Pinus densiflora and the nematicide-soaked specimens of Pinus thunbergii. The highest hardness in cross section was gained from the nematicide-soaked specimens of Pinus densiflora and Pinus thunbergii, the highest hardness in radial section was obtained from the nematicide-soaked specimens of Pinus densiflora and wood vinegar (100 fold dilution)-soaked specimens of Pinus thunbergii, and the highest hardness in tangential section was obtained from the nematicide-soaked specimens of Pinus densiflora and Pinus thunbergii, and there were not significantly different among the treatments. When fumigated treatment was applied, bending strength, hardness was somewhat lower in the control but were not significantly different between the treatments.

방역작업자의 브롬화메틸(methyl bromide) 노출수준과 생물학적 모니터링 (Environmental and biological monitoring of workers exposed to methyl bromide through quarantine fumigation)

  • This study was performed to estimate environmental and biological monitoring of workers exposed to methyl bromide through quarantine fumigation. Airborne methyl bromide and it's metabolites were analyzed by gas chromatography and ion chromatography, respectively. The results are as followings; airborne concentration of methyl bromide(TWA) was $2.08{\pm}1.56ppm$(N=8). Dispersion and setting/degas groups were $0.67{\pm}0.12ppm$(N=2) and $2.54{\pm}1.53ppm$(N=6), respectively. Bromide ion concentration in serum was $23.40{\pm}14.91mg/{\ell}$(N=10) in the exposed workers and $4.74{\pm}0.82mg/{\ell}$(N=21) in the non-exposed workers. Bromide ion concentration in urine was $35.56{\pm}26.89mg/{\ell}$(N=11) in exposed group and $6.62{\pm}2.31mg/{\ell}$(N=21) in non-exposed group. Good correlation was observed between concentration of serum and urine ($r^2$=0.890 p<0.01). No significant correlations of other determinants were observed. Calculated from a regressive curve, the biological half lifes of serum and urine were 10.7 and 5.9 days. In these results, biological monitoring of bromide ion of serum and urine provided useful information for evaluating exposure of workers to methyl bromide, so that an availability of bromide ion of biological samples was showed as biological monitoring indices for methyl bromide.

한방부인과질환에 사용되는 치료방법에 대한 조사연구 (A Survey on the Treatments used in Oriental Obsterics & Gynecology)

  • Purpose: In order to know therapies used in the field of Obsterics & Gynecology of Oriental medicine. Methods: This survey investigated papers about clinical study, literature investigation for therapeutic methods and treatment reports published from 1999. 2${\sim}$2008. 11. Results: In the clinical studies, acupuncture is more frequently used than herbal medicine. But in the treatment reports, herbal medicine is most frequently used except some cases. Besides acupuncture and moxibustion was used frequently. In the treatment reports various acupuncture methods were used except vaginal bleeding or abdominal pain cases. Whole body acupuncture was used mainly. Pharmacopuncture, Sa-am Acupuncture, auricular acupuncture was also used frequently. And Dong's acupuncture, Hwa acupuncture was used sometimes. Moxibustion was tend to be used for dysfunctional uterine bleeding, menopausal disorder, urinary incontinence, vaginal bleeding or abdominal pain during pregnancy period, hyperemesis, recurrent miscarriage, postpartum disease, lochiorrhea. Also other treatment methods was used such as external therapy, aromatherapy, herbal retention enema, fumigation, electric lipolysis acupuncture, Chuna manual medicine, obesity management, acupuncture at uterus cervix, magnetic innervation therapy, exercise, cupping and physical therapy. Conclusion: These results suggests that acupuncture, moxibustion and herbal medicine are most frequent therapy in the field of Obsterics & Gynecology of Oriental medicine. And other therapy are used such as external therapy, aromatherapy, herbal retention enema, fumigation and so on.

Ortho-phenylphenol을 주성분을 하는 훈증소독제의 Pseudomonas aeruginosa와 Enterococcus hirae에 대한 살균효과 (Bactericidal Efficacy of a Fumigation Disinfectant with Ortho-phenylphenol as an Active Ingredient Against Pseudomonas Aeruginosa and Enterococcus Hirae)

  • 본 연구는 P. aeruginosa와 E. hirae을 대상으로 ortho-phenylphenol 20%를 함유한 훈증소독제, Fumagari $OPP^{(R)}$의 살균효과를 평가하기 위해 수행되었다. 예비 시험에서, P. aeruginosa와 E. hirae의 현탁액 균수는 각각 $2.8{\times}10^8$$3.6{\times}10^8CFU/mL$이었으며, 모든 훈증소독제에 노출시킨 담체의 균수는 모두 평판배지법과 여과법으로 배양한 시험균주 현탁액의 균수의 50%보다 많았다. 또한, 대조 담체로부터 회복된 P. aeruginosa와 E. hirae 균수는 각각 $2.9{\times}10^6$$2.7{\times}10^6CFU/mL$이었다. 훈증소독제의 살균효과 시험에서는, 훈증소독제를 처리한 담체의 P. aeruginosa와 E. hirae의 감소 균수는 각각 6.46와 5.19 logCFU/mL로 나타났다. 이상의 결과로부터, 훈증소독제, Fumagari $OPP^{(R)}$는 P. aeruginosa와 E. hirae에 대해 효과적인 살균력을 갖는 것으로 확인되었으며, 병원성 세균에 오염된 식품재료 및 주방용품의 소독에 적용할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

모델식물 애기장대에 대한 훈증제 메틸브로마이드의 약해발생 및 N-acetyl-L-cysteine, L-glutathione, indole-3-acetic acid의 약해억제 효과 (Reduction effects of N-acetyl-L-cysteine, L-glutathione, and indole-3-acetic acid on phytotoxicity generated by methyl bromide fumigation- in a model plant Arabidopsis thaliana)

  • 본 연구는 식물검역 분야에서 주요하게 사용되고 있는 메틸브로마이드 훈증제로 인해 발생하는 약해를 저감하기 위한 물질을 모델식물인 애기장대를 이용하여 스크리닝하였다. 사전연구를 통하여 메틸브로마이드 훈증제의 식물 독성 메커니즘으로 활성산소발생와 식물 성장 호르몬인 옥신의 식물체 내 분배억제효과가 발생하는 것을 바탕으로 하여, 약해 저감물질후보군으로 활성산소를 제거하는 역할을 하는 ROS scavenger 2종(NAC, GSH)과 옥신을 훈증제 처리 전 애기장대에 처리한 후 약해의 저감 정도를 육안평가와 더불어 관련 유전자의 발현을 확인하였다. 연구 결과 메틸브로마이드에 의해 유도된 약해는 옥신보다는 활성산소를 저감시키는 물질후보군들에서 약해 저감효과가 나타났다. 이 중 GSH을 이용하여 농도구배하여 전처리하였을 때, 5 mM GSH 전처리 후 메틸브로마이드 훈증시 약해 저감효과가 두드러졌다. GSH 전처리 시 식물체 내에 MBF1c와 HSP70 유전자 발현이 증가하는 것을 확인하였으며, 이는 메틸브로마이드 훈증으로 유도되는 약해를 방어하는 역할을 담당하였을 것이라고 평가된다. 따라서, 식물검역 훈증제 메틸브로마이드에 의해 발생하는 약해를 저감하는 데 GSH의 사용가능성을 평가하였으며, 이를 기반으로 다양한 식물체에 적용하여 수출입 시 약해로 인한 경제적 손실을 감소시킬 수 있기를 기대한다.

에틸포메이트의 하우스 농작물 훈증처리 후 토양 및 작물 중 잔류양상 (Residual evaluation of ethyl formate in soil and crops after fumigation in green house)

  • 본 연구는 비닐하우스로 대표되는 시설농업에서의 효과적이고 효율적인 해충방제를 위해 수입 농산물의 검역단계에서 사용되고 있는 훈증물질 중 하나인 에틸포메이트를 적용하여 박과작물인 수박, 멜론, 애호박에 훈증처리 후 작물 및 토양에의 잔류양상을 연구하였다. 이전 연구를 통하여 해충방제에 효과적인 에틸포메이트의 농업적 방제농도를 설정하였으며, 밀폐된 비닐하우스에서 농업적 방제농도의 에틸포메이트를 2시간 동안 훈증처리하였으며 훈증처리 이후 하우스를 완전개방하여 환기를 실시하였다. 훈증처리 30분 후 하우스 내의 에틸포메이트 농도는 4.1~4.3 g m-3로 균일한 농도로 훈증처리가 잘 되었다. 박과작물 및 하우스 내 토양의 잔류분석을 위한 분석법 작성을 위해 표준품을 이용하여 검량선을 작성한 결과 헤드스페이스 샘플러-가스크로마토그래피 기기의 LOD는 100 ng g-1 수준이었으며, LOQ는 300 ng g-1 수준이었다. 각 작물별 및 토양의 검량선의 R2 값은 0.991~0.997의 수준으로 양호하였다. 환기 후 바로 채취한 시료에서는 모두 검출되지 않았거나 LOQ 이하의 수준으로 검출되었으며, 환기 후 3시간 이후의 시료에서는 개화기의 멜론에서만 1,068.9 ng g-1의 에틸포메이트가 검출되었다. 검출된 잔류량의 양상을 종합하여 보았을 때, 환기 직후의 시료에서 검출된 양이 환기 후 3시간 경과된 시료보다 낮은 잔류양상을 보였다. 이는 분석과정에 걸리는 시간차에 의한 실험적 한계에 의한 결과라 할 수 있다. 따라서 이후의 에틸포메이트의 잔류량 분석 연구에 있어 빠른 분해양상을 주된 변화요인으로 고려하여 연구를 진행할 필요성이 요구된다. 위 연구결과를 토대로 하여 검역분야에서 사용중인 에틸포메이트를 농업분야에 적용하여 잔류에 대한 걱정이 없으며, 해충방제에 효과적인 훈증제로 사용할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.
