According to the new rules and regulations (New SOLAS), major safety critical systems are to be designed to be redundant, which is called 'Redundancy Design'. This paper was to quantitatively analyze the degree of influence of the redundancy design applied to major safety critical systems using IMO's FSA(formal Safety Assessment) method. For the purpose of this study, the diesel engine system, which is actually one of major safety critical systems, was dealt with FMEA, FTA and ETA technique. In addition, whether the redundancy was met or not was verified and the degree of safety, or redundancy, was represented in terms of reliability. In conclusion, the safety of propulsion systems is possibly assessed systematically by estimating the risk level in terms of frequency and fatality.

A research on accident loss calculation for polyol process without safety management activities, and safety cost estimation using process risk assessment has been implemented. In order to estimate a magnitude of loss, accident scenarios were made by combining result made from HAZOP Study method with accident possibility analysis results implemented with FTA. Also effect assessment was implement for accident consequence of each scenario. And minimum possible loss cost has been calculated when safety investment do or not. Result from cost-benefit analysis was shown as approximately \335 billion(=USS44,000 billion), as cost after subtracting safety management cost from minimum possible loss cost.

세계경제는 국가간 자유무역협정(FTA)으로 개방과 통합이 가속화되고 있다. 이러한 교역환경의 변화는 국내 프랜차이즈기업의 해외진출 기회를 확대하고 있지만 동시에 선진국 프랜차이즈기업의 위협을 극복해야 한다는 과제를 안겨주고 있다. 본 연구는 국내 프랜차이즈기업을 대상으로 해외 진출기업과 미진출기업의 조직특성에서의 차이점을 규명하는 데 목적이 있다. 자원기반이론과 대리이론에 근거하여 본 연구는 몇 가지 조직특성이 국내 프랜차이즈기업의 해외진출을 촉진하는 것으로 가설을 설정하고 있으며 이를 국내 315개 프랜차이즈기업에 대한 서베이조사를 통해 검증하고 있다. 분석 결과, 해외 진출 프랜차이즈기업이 미진출 프랜차이즈기업에 비해 규모가 크고 역사가 오래되었으며, 국내시장에서 점포의 지리적 분포가 큰 것으로 나타났다. 성장성은 기대와 달리 해외 진출 기업이 미진출 기업보다 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 또한 가맹점에 대한 가격구속은 진출기업과 미진출기업간에 통계적으로 유의적인 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 분석결과를 토대로 본 연구는 국내 프랜차이즈기업의 해외진출을 위한 몇가지 시사점을 향우 연구과제와 함께 제시하고 있다.

Fault tree analysis (FTA) is a widely used methodology for reliability analysis. The method is useful in that it suggests a very comprehensive way of describing the hierarchical relations of causes of faults and the corresponding results. However it is difficult to get appropriate fault trees for given products or systems without very profound knowledge and experience. This work aims to develop a methodology of fault tree construction using the results of function deployment for machine parts, which provides an objective way of preparing fault trees. The failure modes are defined to each function network generated by the function deployment method and the fault tree with respect to each viewpoint is constructed by arranging the failure modes. The fault tree is finally obtained by synthesizing the fault trees with respect to each viewpoint. The example of fault tree construction is also shown.

자유시장 경제를 신봉하는 사람들은 국가간 교역의 증대는 비교우위에 따른 무역의 증대를 의미하고 이것은 국가간 상호이익을 도모함으로써 세계적인 부를 증진시킨다고 주장한다. 세계화로 다른 나라의 다양한 물품을 우리나라 소비자들이 싼 값에 살 수 있고, 생산자도 세계의 넓은 시장에서 판매활동을 할 수 있으므로 세계적인 부를 증진시킨단 말은 일면 타당해 보인다. 그러나 후진국의 경제발전(특히 수입대체산업의 육성)에 악영향을 미칠 것이며, 선진국 경제에 후진국이 종속되는 결과를 낳을 것이라고 한다. 또한 세계화는 이익을 보는 계층과 손해를 보는 계층을 극명하게 나눠 놓음으로서 분쟁과 갈등을 증대시키는 면도 있다. 예를 들면 최근의 농산물시장의 개방에 따른 우리나라 농민들의 피해, 자본의 대량유입과 대량유출에 따른 외환위기의 위험성 등 개발도상국을 비롯한 중.후진국이 감수해야 할 지도 모르는 부담이 상당하다. 경제적인 종속 이외에도 사회적, 문화적인 종속을 우려하는 시각도 있다. 이러한 가운데 세계화를 주장하는 미국과 대립되는 상황이 나타나는데 이는 자국 문화를 수호하려는 정부의 노력으로 보인다.

Recently, the concern of the FTA (Free Trade Agreement) have shifted to the promotion of the professional service's trade via the bilateral and reciprocal agreement of its professional laws. In the construction industry, this policy has intended to make the standardization of the construction manager's profession in the world. The purpose of this paper is 1) first to define the general model of professions in the U.S., UK and Japan, 2) then to declare the construction manager's model of the profession in them to apply the general model of professions, and 3) finally to analyze the identity of Korean construction managers and acquirement of its construction manager's law comparing with construction manager's model of the profession in the U.S., UK and Japan.

The Ministry of Education. Science and Technology had revised the 'The professional Engineers Act' in 2007 in order to enhance the efficiency of the professional engineers. The Ministry also had adopted "The International Professional Engineer Registration System which included APEC engineer and EMF international professional engineer and has worked on various MRA of professional engineer and has worked on various MRA of professional engineers through FTA with USA, Singapore. EU, Canada and Australia etc. The Ministry will participate in the negotiation meeting For MRA of professional engineers with Singapore in coming November and also will negotiate positively MRA of professional engineers with USA upon the ratification of National Assembly.
