비브라토음의 비정현파적인 주파수 궤적의 특성 분석에 관한 연구 (A study on the characteristic analysis of non-sinusoidal frequency trajectories of vibrato tones)

  • 비브라토는 보컬음과 악기음에 대한 주파수의 변조를 의미하며, 음악의 음색을 풍부하게 만들기 위해서 사용되는 대표적인 기법들 중의 하나이다. 비브라토음의 기본주파수 궤적은 정현파 신호로 모델링이 되는 것이 일반적이지만, 궤적의 모양이 비정현파적인 경우들도 존재한다. 본 논문에서는 비브라토음의 기본주파수 궤적 중 비정현파적인 형태를 가지는 경우에 대해 그 특성을 분석하는 방법을 제안한다. 제안되는 방법은 주파수 궤적에 대해 Fast Fourier Transform(FFT) 분석을 통해 배음 분석을 실행하고, 비브라토 파라미터들을 분석하고, 또한 궤적의 정현파 순도 인자를 계산하는 과정들로 이루어진다. 플루트, 비올라, 색소폰 악기음들에 대해 제안된 방법을 적용하였고 실험 결과를 통해 제안된 방법이 유용함을 보였다.

Pass-by계측과 NCPX계측에 의한 주파수 별 음압 예측 모델 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on Development of the Prediction Model Related to the Sound Pressure in Terms of Frequencies, Using the Pass-by and NCPX Method)

  • PURPOSES : The methods of measuring the sound from the noise source are Pass-by method and NCPX (Noble Close Proximity) method. These measuring methods were used to determine the linkage of TAPL (Total Acoustic Pressure Level) and SPL (Sound Pressure Level) in terms of frequencies. METHODS : The frequency analysis methods are DFT (Discrete Fourier Transform) and FFT (Fast Fourier Transform), CPB (Constant Percentage Bandwidth). The CPB analysis was used in this study, based on the 1/3 octave band option configured for the frequency analysis. Furthermore, the regression analysis was used at the condition related to the sound attenuation effect. The MPE (Mean Percentage Error) and RMSE (Root Mean Squared Error) were utilized for calculating the error. RESULTS : From the results of the CPB frequency analysis, the predicted SPL along the frequency has 99.1% maximum precision with the measured SPL, resulting in roughly 1 dB(A) error. The TAPL results have precision by 99.37% with the measured TAPL. The predicted TAPL results at this study by using the SPL prediction model along the frequency have the maximum precision of 98.37% with the vehicle velocity. CONCLUSIONS : The Predicted SPL model along the frequency and the TAPL result by using the predicted SPL model have a high level of accuracy through this study. But the vehicle velocity-TAPL prediction model from the previous study by using the log regression analysis cannot be consistent with the TAPL result by using the predicted SPL model.

FFT를 이용한 Hertz Contact 해석 (Analysis of Hertzian Contact using Fast Fourier Transform)

  • In this study, a numerical procedure to solve a contact problem has been developed. The procedure takes the advantage of signal processing technique in frequency domain to achieve the shorter computer processing time. The Boussinesq's equation was adopted as the response function. This procedure is applicable to the non-periodic surface profile as well as the periodic one. The validity of this procedure has been established by comparing the numerical results with the exact solutions. The effectiveness of this procedure is lied on the shorter computing time than any other contact analysis algorithm.

웨이브렛 변환을 이용한 전자빔 용접 진단 (Electron Beam Welding Diagnosis Using Wavelet Transform)

  • Wavelet transform analysis results show a spectrum energy distribution of CWT along scale factors distinguish the partial, full and over penetration in a electron beam welding by analyzing the curve of spectrum energy at small scale, middle and large scale range, respectively. Two types of signals collected by Ion collector and x-ray sensors and analyzed. The acquired signals from sensors are very complicated since these signals are very closely related the dynamics of keyhole which interact the very high density energy with materials during welding. The results show the wavelet transform is more effective to diagnosis than Fourier Transform, further for the general welding defects which are not a periodic based, but a transient, non-stationary and time-varying phenomena.

  • Recently, the subject of \"wavelet analysis\" has drawn much attention from both mathematical and engineering application fields such as Signal Processing, Compression/Decomposition, Statistics and ets. Analogous to Fourier analysis, wavelets is a versatile tool with very rich mathematical content and great potential for applications. Specially, wavelet transform uses localizable various mother wavelet functions in time-frequency domain. In this paper, discrimination analyses of acquired electrical current signals for each and mixed loads were tried by using Morlet wavelet transform. Their representative loads were classified as TV, DRY(Dryer), REF(Refrigerate), and FL(Fluorescent Lamp).

  • 인간의 감성을 고려하는 제품의 생산에서 촉감은 인간이 제품을 만질 때 직접적으로 느낄 수 있는 중요한 감각이다. 이러한 촉감의 연구를 위해 직물을 대상으로 직물 표면의 거칠기를 측정하고 해석하였다. 측정된 표면 거칠기를 Fast Fourier Transform 변환하여 직물구조를 분석하는 기준으로 하였다. 각 peak 값들을 분석하여 나온 값이 직물 구조를 수식화하여 사용할 수 있는 좋은 방법이 됨을 알았다. 또한, 실의 잔털량을 측정하여, 잔털량과 인간의 주관적인 감각을 대표하는 값과의 상관관계를 조사하였다. 잔털량이 인간의 주관적인 감각을 객관적으로 표현할 수 있는 한 요소로 사용될 수 있다는 것을 확인하였다.

Dynamic Wave Response Analysis of Floating Bodies in the Time-domain

  • This paper presents a method to predict dynamic responses of floating bodies in the time domain. Because of the frequency-dependence of the radiation wave forces, the memory effect must be taken into account when the responses are evaluated in the time domain. Although the formulations firstly developed by Cummins (1962) have been well-known for this purpose, the effective numerical procedure has not been established yet. This study employs FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) algorithm to evaluate the memory effect function, and the equations of motion of an integro-differential type are solved by Newmark-β method. Numerical examples for a truncated circular cylinder have indicated the effectiveness of the proposed numerical procedure.

  • 최근에 OAT(Ocean Acoustic Tomography) 분야에서 M-시퀀스를 이용한 펄스압축 (pulse compression) 기법을 이용하여 해양 구조를 분석하는 많은 연구가 이뤄지고 있다. M-시퀀스는 정합필터 (matched-filter)을 사용한 복조를 통해. 훌륭한 시간 분해능 (resolution) 및 도플러 분해능을 제공할 수 있다. 또한 수신 신호를 적절하게 처리함으로써 수신기 출력의 신호대잡음비 성능을 개선할 수 있으며, 수신 신호를 동기적으로 평균하는 것은 그것에 대한 좋은 예라고 할 수 있다. 그리고 데이터를 빠르고 효율적으로 처리할 수 있는 FHT (Fast Hadamard Transform) 또는 FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) 기법을 사용함으로써 처리 속도를 효율적으로 개선할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 동해 연안에서 수집된 데이터를 이용하여 수중 음파의 다중경로 성분과 지연 시간을 분석하며, 송수신기간의 샘플링 속도 오차에서 비롯된 현상을 설명하고 오차를 보상하는 방법을 제시한다. 그리고 채널의 scattering 함수, 지연 전력 프로파일 (delay power profile), 시간 확산 특성 등을 통하여 해양 음향 채널의 특성을 분석하도록 한다.

Systematic Analysis of Periodic Variation in Paper Structure

  • Periodic variation of local paper structure was evaluated using two-dimensional fast Fourier transform (FFT) and spectral analysis. Since the periodic variation could originate from various sources and have different magnitudes and patterns depending on the origins, a complete analysis of local paper structure properties such as local grammage, local thickness, local apparent density and surface topography was proposed in this study. For a commercial copy paper, the individual periodic patterns for each local structural property were identified by using inverse FFT spectrums of the filtered spectrum. The spectral analysis of newsprint sample provided the period of variation quantitatively, which was useful in comparing the origins of the individual periodic patterns of the local structural properties.

Failure Forecast Diagnosis of Small Wind Turbine using Acoustic Emission Sensor

  • Currently in Japan, the use of the small wind turbine is an upward trend. There are already many well established small wind turbine generators in use and their various failures have been reported. The most commonly sighted failure is blade damage. Thus the research purpose was set to develop a simple failure diagnostic system, where an Acoustic Emission (AE) signal was produced from the failure part of a blade which was measured by AE sensor. The failure diagnostic technique was thoroughly examined. Concurrently, the damage part of the blade was imitated, the AE signal was measured, and a FFT(Fast Fourier Transform) analysis was carried out, and was compared with the output characteristic. When one sheet of a blade was damaged 40mm or more, the level was computed at which failure could be diagnosed.
