An automatic facial feature points(FFPs) detection system is proposed. A face is represented as a graph where the nodes are placed at facial feature points(FFPs) labeled by their Gabor features and the edges are describes their spatial relations. An innovative flexible feature matching is proposed to perform features correspondence between models and the input image. This matching model works likes random diffusion process in the image space by employing the locally competitive and globally corporative mechanism. The system works nicely on the face images under complicated background, pose variations and distorted by facial accessories. We demonstrate the benefits of our approach by its implementation on the system.

This study was undertaken to compare the gait characteristics between the Korean elderly and young adults, we measured the plantar pressure and contact time of gait with barefoot along a walkway at their preferred walking speed. The results indicate that older people exhibited significantly less plantar pressure than young adult in all 3 regions (FF, MF and RF) and significantly less time % on the initial contact phase (ICP), forefoot push-off phase (FFPOP) and significantly more % forefoot contact phase (FFCP) and foot flat phase (FFP). The converted plantar pressure value to percentage, it showed more pressure in forefoot (FF) in the elderly person than the young adults. It could be explained that the forward shifting in plantar pressure are associated with a more flexed posture of elderly such as actual stabilizing fearrelated adaptations. Longer total foot contact time in the elderly means that the old people show the decreased gait velocity. In other words, lower velocity was found to be associated with pre-existing fear of falling. With longer contact time and slower stepping movement, the elderly become more unstable. With these findings, it could be confirmed that there were significant changes in foot characteristics which contribute to alter the plantar pressure and contact time during gait with advancing age. Further research is required to establish possible links to risk of falling and development of footwear in the elderly adults.
FFP(Fitness For Purpose) type defect assessment methodologies based on ECA(Engineering Critical Analysis) have been established and are in use for the structural integrity evaluation of gas pipelines. ECA usually includes the fracture mechanics analysis, and it assumes that J-integral uniquely characterizes crack-tip stress-strain fields. However, it has been shown that it is not sufficient to characterize the crack-tip field under low levels of constraint with a single parameter. Since pipeline structures are made of ductile material, locally loaded in tension, cracks may experience low level of constraint, and therefore, J-dominance will be lost. For this reason, the level of constraint must be quantified to establish a precise assessment procedure for pipeline defects. The objective of this paper is to Investigate the fracture behavior of a crack in gas pipeline by quantifying the level of constraint. For this purpose, tensile tests and CTOD tests were performed at room temperature$(24^{\circ}C)$ and low temperature$(-40^{\circ}C)$ to obtain the material properties. J-Q analyses were performed for SENB and SENT specimens based on 2-D finite element analyses, in order to investigate the in-plane constraint effects on pipeline defects.
Pipelines have the highest capacity and are the safest and the least environmentally disruptive way for gas or oil transmission. Recently, failures due to corrosion defects have become of major concern in maintaining pipeline integrity. A number of solutions have been developed for the assessment of remaining strength of corroded pipelines. However, these solutions are known to be dependent on material properties and pipeline geometries. In this paper, a Fitness-For-Purpose type limit load solution for corroded gas pipelines made of the X65 steel is proposed. For this purpose, a series of burst tests with various types of corrosion defects are performed. Finite element simulations are carried out to derive an appropriate failure criterion. And then, further, extensive finite element analyses are performed to obtain the FFP type limit load solution for corroded X65 gas pipelines as a function of defect depth, length and pipeline geometry. And also, a window based computer program far the assessment of corrosion defect, which is named as COPAP(COrroded Pipeline Assessment Program) has been developed on the basis of proposed limit load solution.

Purpose: Clotting factor X deficiency is one of the most uncommon coagulation disorders. The authors describe a case of cleft palate in a patient with a congenital clotting factor X deficiency. Methods: In pediatric patients with a cleft palate, the coagulation problem is more worrisome, because they are more sensitive to blood than adults, and because postoperative bleeding can cause blood ingestion with subsequent vomiting, aspiration, and airway obstruction. To prevent hemorrhagic complications in the described case, fresh frozen plasma (FFP) was administered every 24 hrs from the day before surgery to the second postoperative day. Results: Good hemostasis, normal healing, and no complications was shown postoperatively. Conclusion: The replacement of fresh frozen plasma was useful in the case of congenital clotting factor deficiency for bleeding prophylaxis in cleft palate operation.

Recently, there has been considerable interest in the development of fiber-optic sensors based on fiber Bragg gratings (FBGs), which can be made into Ge-doped fiber's core by UV phase mask or holographic methods. A good sensitivity and small size of this sensor make it an ideal candidate for distributed sensing in smart structures or other structural monitoring applications. In this study, fiber optic Bragg grating sensor, which could be applied to measure the absolute strains, was constructed and the strain sensitivity of this sensor was investigated in order to apply to the structural health monitoring. Fiber Fabry-Perot (FFP) filter has been used to detect the optical signals instead of optical spectrum analyzer. It has been convenient to determine the structural strains from the output signal of FBGs. The fiber optic Bragg grating sensor was attached on the aluminum beam near the electrical strain gage to measure the same strain. The relationship between strain and fiber signal was linearly fitted. The strain sensitivity of the fiber optic Bragg grating sensor was determined as $l.57{\mu}{\varepsilon}/{\mu}sec$ from the aluminum beam test.
The purpose of this study was to introduce effects of Chukyu pharmacopuncture and Brainspotting on knee pain, headaches, and acute stress disorder of a patient with a traffic accident. We treated a patient with Chukyu pharmacopuncture and Brainspotting. Numerical rating scale (NRS), Range of Motion (ROM), Hyperextension Position (HEP), Effusion (Eff), Patella Compression Test (PCT), Frontal Flexion Position (FFP), McMurray (MCM), Lateral Joint Line Tenderness (LJLT), Medial Joint Line Tenderness (MJLT), Anterior Drawer Test (ADT), Lachman Test, Varus/Valgus stress, Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI), Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9), Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), Core Seven Emotions Inventory Short Form (CSEI-S), Subjective units of disturbance scale (SUDs), and Heart rate variability (HRV) were used to evaluate the patient. After the patient was treated by Chukyu pharmacopuncture and Brainspotting, the patient showed improvement in NRS, physical examination, and psychological symptom assessment. These results indicate that Chukyu pharmacopuncture and Brainspotting are effective on knee pain, headache, and acute stress disorder after a traffic accident.
