Self-sustained n-Type Memory Transistor Devices Based on Natural Cellulose Paper Fibers

  • Reported herein is the architecture for a nonvolatile n-type memory paper field-effect transistor. The device was built via the hybrid integration of natural cellulose fibers (pine and eucalyptus fibers embedded in resin with ionic additives), which act simultaneously as substrate and gate dielectric, using passive and active semiconductors, respectively, as well as amorphous indium zinc and gallium indium zinc oxides for the gate electrode and channel layer, respectively. This was complemented by the use of continuous patterned metal layers as source/drain electrodes.

전기밥솥 FCT 검사 자동화 System의 검사 신뢰성 평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on Inspection Reliability Evaluation of Electric Rice Cooker FCT Inspection Automation System)

  • This study has focused on the reliability evaluation of FCT inspection automation equipment for electric rice. To evaluate the reliability of FCT inspection automation equipment, voice analysis, Gray/R/G/B channel experiment, FND segment experiment, and robot position repeatability were performed. In the voice analysis experiment, the comparison value between the recorded and digital output waves was over 99%, indicating a very high result. It was confirmed that both the gray/R/G/B experiment using vision and the FND segment could confirm the output value of the product through vision. The position repeatability of the robot is also excellent, so it is concluded that the inspection effect through the FCT automation system will be excellent.

FEM-FCT 기법을 이용한 코로나 방전 시뮬레이션에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Corona Discharge Simulation Using FEM-FCT Method)

  • In this paper, the corona discharge is analyzed by Finite Element Method(FEM) combined with Flux-corrected Transport(FCT) algorithm. In the previous papers, Finite Difference Method(FDM) combined with FCT was used. Usually in the FDM, the regionof interest is discretized with structured grids. But to refine local regions with same resolution, much more grids are required for the structured grids than for unstructured grids than for unstructured grids. Therefore, we propose the FEM-FCT method to simulate the corona discharge. The proposed method has good flexibility in model shape and can reduce the computational cost by the local refinement where the physical quantities have steep gradients. Using the proposed method, we study the streamer growth of parallel plate electrodes which is initiated by the low and high perturbation density. We find that the varying the initial density of perturbation has very little effect on the streamer propagation. And the corona discharge of the rod-to-plane electrode is simulated. On the surface of the rod electrode, the high concentration of the electric field gives rise to many number of streamer seeds. The strong axial streamer propagate to the plane electrode. The weaker non-axial streamer repel each other and stop growing more. The results are very similar to those of the papers which used the FDM-FCT method on structured grids. Thus we can conclude that the proposed FEM-FCT method is more efficient than the conventional FDM-FCT method by virtue of the reduction in computational grids number.

Multicomponent wide band gap oxide semiconductors for thin film transistors

  • The recent application of wide band gap oxide semiconductors to transparent thin film transistors (TTFTs) is making a fast and growing (r)evolution on the contemporary solid-state electronics. In this paper we present some of the recent results we have obtained using wide band gap oxide semiconductors, like indium zinc oxide, produced by rf sputtering at room temperature. The devices work in the enhancement mode and exhibit excellent saturation drain currents. On-off ratios above $10^6$ are achieved. The optical transmittance data in the visible range reveals average transmittance higher than 80 %, including the glass substrate. Channel mobilities are also quite respectable, with some devices presenting values around $25\;cm^2/Vs$, even without any annealing or other post deposition improvement processes. The high performances presented by these TTFTs associated to a high electron mobility, at least two orders of magnitude higher than that of conventional amorphous silicon TFTs and a low threshold voltage, opens new doors for applications in flexible, wearable, disposable portable electronics as well as battery-powered applications.

  • In this paper, the discharge characteristics of AC PDP, one of the leading technologies currently under development for large-area flat displays, is computed by using Finite Element Method(FEM) combined with Flux-corrected Transport(FCT) algorithm. Up to now, many simulations of AC PDP have been mainly done by Finite Difference Method(FDM). But we simulated the AC PDP by using FEM-FCT method which discretizes the region of interest with unstructured grids. FEM-FCT method can reduce the computational cost because of refining locally where the physical quantities have steep gradients and is more efficient in solving discharge problems, such as a AC PDP. Results are presented in Ne-Xe(4%) gas mixture for a gas pressure of 400 Torr and as the discharge proceeds, the space and time variations of the electron and ion densities, potential and wall charges on the dielectric are described. Results from our simulation by FEM-FCT are similar to those from simulation by FDM and are more efficient in computational cost reduction.

FCT 검사 자동화 System의 구조해석 및 구조 안전성에 관한 연구 (Structural Analysis and Safety of FCT Inspection Automation System)

  • The analysis conditions were established using the self-weight of the FCT automation equipment, and natural frequency analysis was performed under the same conditions. For the structural analysis, 3D modeling was performed using Inventor, and structural analysis was performed using the Ansys workbench. From the structural analysis, it was concluded that the resulting values of the stress and deformation of the equipment do not affect the equipment. From the dynamic analysis, the resonance does not occur in the equipment driving area, and thus it is judged to be stable.

치매 선별을 위한 도형모사검사 개발 및 타당화 (Development and Validation of Figure-Copy Test for Dementia Screening)

  • 치매 증상의 진행 지연 및 관리비용의 절감을 위해서는 치매를 조기에 발견하여 관리하는 것이 중요하다. 이에 본 연구에서는 치매와 관련된 인지신경학적 손상을 측정할 수 있는 간단한 그림검사인 도형모사검사를 개발하여, 치매 선별 가능성을 확인하고자 하였다. 또한, 도형모사검사의 이미지 데이터에 대한 기계학습을 통해 검사 채점의 자동화 가능성을 확인하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 270명의 일반 및 손상집단 참가자들에 대하여 도형모사검사, MMSE-DS, 그리고 시계그리기 검사를 수행하였다. 분석 결과, 도형모사검사의 점수는 높은 내적 일치도를 보였을 뿐만 아니라, 다른 두 검사 점수와 유의한 상관을 보여 검사의 타당성을 확인하였다. 세 검사의 치매 선별 정확도를 비교하기 위해 판별분석을 시행한 결과, 다른 두 검사와 비교했을 때 도형모사검사가 일반 및 손상 집단을 각각 90.8% 및 77.1%의 정확도로 예측하여, 집단에 대한 예측 수준이 상대적으로 더 높은 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 신경과 진단을 통한 임상 결과를 통해, MMSE-DS를 통해 선별하지 못했던 치매 사례들을 도형모사검사를 이용하여 선별할 수 있음을 확인하였다. 마지막으로, 도형모사검사의 이미지 데이터를 이용한 기계학습을 수행한 결과, 73.70%의 정확률로 집단을 예측하는 것을 확인하였다. 본 연구는 기존에 사용되어 온 치매 선별 검사의 한계를 보완하여, 시행과 채점이 간편한 새로운 그림검사를 개발하였다는 점에서 의의를 지닌다.

Wire-Cylinder형 반응로에서의 코로나 방전 플라스마의 특성 연구 (Study of Characteristics of Corona Discharge Plasma in a Wire-Cylinder Type Reactor)

  • 대기압의 공기 중에서 코로나 방전 플라스마에 대한 특성을 연구하기 위해 wire-cylinder 형태의 반응로에서 FCT(flux-corrected transport) 알고리즘과 FEM(finite element method) 방법을 적용한 자체 모순이 없는 1차원 수치적 모델을 사용하였다. 코로나 방전 반응로에 펄스 전압과 직류 전압을 인가하였을 때, 플라스마 밀도의 분포를 계산하여 전압의 변화에 따른 플라스마 특성의 변화를 연구하였으며, 또한 반응로의 크기 변화에 따른 플라스마의 특성 변화를 연구하였다. 이 결과로 얻어지는 활동 반경(active radius)의 변화를 Peek의 실험값과 비교해 보았다. 이와 같은 코로나 방전 플라스마에 대한 수치적 계산 결과는 방전 과정에서 일어나는 물리적 특성을 잘 설명하여 환경오염 물질 제거를 위한 반응로의 최적 설계를 위해 유용하게 쓰일 수 있을 것이다.
