So, if the position of the brand is hard to be defined by the FCB grid model, then this general rule can be applied to all types of brands. • As the media environment changes rapidly, the size of the online advertising market is growing rapidly. However, consumer's trustfulness in online advertising is much lower than that of old media, and there is also a phenomenon of advertising avoidance. Thus, in this study, advertising skepticism, advertising appeals, involvement, and FCB Grid theory were used to provide Youtube and advertisers with implications for advertising strategies. It was intended to provide a way to lower consumer advertising avoidance. As a result of Research 1, consumers with high advertising avoidance showed low advertising attitudes, brand attitudes, and attitudes toward products. In addition, there was no difference in gender, and when the frequency of online video viewing decreased and the age increased, advertising avoidance increased. Research 2 shows that consumers with high levels of advertising skepticism showed a high level of advertising attitude when the level of involvement was low and transformational appeal was high. In the FCB Grid model, consumers with high levels of advertising skepticism are found to be suitable for transformational appeal advertising. These results mean that Youtube and advertisers should think important about advertising skepticism, which is the cause of advertising avoidance, and that consumers with high levels of advertising skepticism should be presented with advertisements suitable for each type of product in the online advertising market.

  • In the ultimatum game two players have to divide a certain amount of money between them. One player is the allocator and proposes a division of the money. The other is the recipient and can either accept or reject the proposed division. If the recipient accepts, the money is divided as proposed. If the recipient rejects, however, both players receive nothing. Purchase decisions could be classified on two basic factors (or dimensions) : involvement and think/feel in the FCB grid model. In this study we studied the influences of the two factors in purchase decisions on the choice of strategy (or propensity to fairness) in the ultimatum game. The empirical study showed that a decision maker chooses rational strategy more frequently when he (or she) is thinkful (or cognitive) in high involvement level.

  • This research, which is quite different from previous studies, has tried to understand the relationships among aesthetic dimensions, on the basis of product aesthetic and how these consumer preferences change according to changes of these dimensions. For this research, the factors of simplicity/complexity and balance among many aesthetic elements were chosen through experiment, and products which are on the market were divided into 4 categories with the FCB Grid. Two products of each respective category were selected and a typical model was chosen for each other. These models were changed only with the factors of simplicity/complexity and balance, in order to make a show-card. The relationships between simplicity/complexity, balance, and consumer preferences has been proven with the show-card. The measured value change of consumer preferences will be provided for design development as basic data. The relationship among the various aesthetic dimensions will improve through consistent research.
