  • With the rapid development of cloud computing, it raises real questions on privacy protection, which greatly limits the use of cloud computing. However, fully homomorphic encryption (FHE) can make cloud computing consistent with privacy. In this paper, we propose a simpler FHE scheme based on ring LWE problem, with a smaller size of ciphertext and a lower noise-expansion factor for homomorphic multiplication. Then based on our optimized RLWE-based FHE scheme, we propose a fast single-database private information retrieval protocol, combining with batching and number theoretic transform technology.

  • In this study a two-stage fast pulse generaor using magnetic switches is proposed. The scheme consist of a switch, an inductor and two pairs of capacitor and saturable inductors, a linear transformer. The basic principle and the operation are described using a set of given parameters. The main issue of the magnetic pulse genration scheme is the system efficiency. This study focuses on the system efficiency improvement using magnetic switches. The voltage compression ratio, energy transfer with respect to core area are investigated. The output voltage and transferred energy as a function of input voltage are also included. Also, an analysis and experiments are performed to verify the porposed topology by implementing a 10[J] class experimental circuit. The efficiency of the transferred energy a tload side is 82%.

  • A better tracking performance can be achieved, if visual sensors such as CCD cameras are used in controling a robot manipulator, than when only relative sensors such as encoders are used. However, for precise visual servoing of a robot manipulator, an expensive vision system which has fast sampling rate must be used. Moreover, even if a fast vision system is implemented for visual servoing, one cannot get a reliable performance without use of robust and stable inner joint servo-loop. In this paper, we propose a dynamic control scheme for robot manipulators with eye-in-hand camera configuration, where a dynamic learning controller is designed to improve the tracking performance of robotic system. The proposed control scheme is implemented for tasks of tracking moving objects and shown to be robust to parameter uncertainty, disturbances, low sampling rate, etc.

  • This paper presents the new adaptive optimal scheme for the nonlinear systems, which is based on the Picard's iterative approximation and Fast Walsh transform. It is well known that the Walsh function approach method is very difficult to apply for the analysis and optimal control of nonlinear systems. However, these problems can be easily solved by the improvement of the previous adaptive optimal scheme. The proposed method is easily applicable to the analysis and optimal control of nonlinear systems.

  • Recently, Flash Memory Drives are one of the best media to support portable and desktop computers' storage devices. Their features include non-volatility, low power consumption, and fast access time for read operations, which are sufficient to present flash memories as major database storage components for desktop and server computers. However, we need to improve traditional storage management schemes based on HDD(Hard Disk Drive) and RAID(Redundant Array of Independent Disks) due to the relatively slow or freezing characteristics of write operations of SSDs, as compared to fast read operations. In order to achieve this goal, we propose a new storage management scheme called Hetero-Mirroring based on traditional HDD mirroring scheme. Hetero-Mirroring-based storage management improves RAID-1 operation performance by balancing write-workloads and delaying write operations to avoid SSD freezing.

  • A fast maximum efficiency control scheme of a stator flux-oriented control of an induction motor is proposed. Three inputs of given three magnetic fluxes are calculated. Then magnetic flux for minimum input is calculated by quadratic interpolation method and maximum efficiency control is fulfilled with the calculated magnetic flux for minimum input. Simulation results verify the effectiveness of the scheme.

  • The main issue in mobile cloud computing is how to support a seamless service to a mobile mode. Mobile IPv6 (MIPv6) is a mobility supporting protocol which is standardized by the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF). Mobile IPv6 fast handovers (FMIPv6) is the extension of MIPv6 which is proposed to overcome shortcomings of MIPv6. Recently, fast handovers for Mobile IPv6 over IEEE 802.16e which is one of broadband wireless access systems has been proposed by the IETF. It was designed for supporting cross-layer fast handover. In this paper, we propose an enhanced cross-layering mobile IPv6 fast handover over IEEE 802.16e networks. In our scheme, a new access router generates a new address for the mobile node by using a layer 2 trigger. We utilize a layer 2 message which is sent from a new base station to the new access router in order to inform the new access router of information of the mobile node. A previous access router sends a binding update message to the mobile node's home agent when it acquires the new address of the mobile node. We evaluate the performance of the proposed scheme compared with the existing schemes in terms of the signaling cost and the handover latency. From the results, we observe that the proposed scheme can support fast handover effectively over IEEE 802.16e networks than existing schemes.

  • Linux has peculiarities of safety, flexibility, and open source. and Linux supports various hardware platforms. But because general Linux was designed for high performance H/W, Linux has several points to support for embedded system with limited resource. Specially, a main point is booting time that is spent to tens of second. In this paper, we purpose a fast booting scheme of Linux for Embedded System and estimate a performance of scheme purposed through realized prototype. Specially, to reduce booting time in environment of embedded system, we optimize boot loader, kernel and root file system. As a result, boot time reduce 28 second to 11 second in HBE-EMPOS II.

  • In this paper, we propose the lossless coding: scheme for progressive transmission of medical images. The input image is decomposed by the proposed fast adaptive subband decomposition method which is suited for a lossless coding. The decomposed images are coded by an arithmetic coder with two conditioning pixels, and the conditioning pixels are selected differently according to the property of the subbands. The conditioning contexts are usually quantized to reduce the conditional state, and the optimization method of quantization is proposed For the purpose of improving compression ratio in this paper. The proposed lossless coding scheme provides the asymmetric structure of cosec and results in better compression ability than the JPEC lossless coding[ 1 ].

  • Single pixel imaging technology has developed for years, however the video acquisition on the single pixel camera is not a well-studied problem in computer vision. This work proposes a new scheme for single pixel camera to acquire video data and a new regularization for robust signal recovery algorithm. The method establishes a single pixel video compressive sensing scheme to reconstruct the video clips in spatial domain by recovering the difference of the consecutive frames. Different from traditional data acquisition method works in transform domain, the proposed scheme reconstructs the video frames directly in spatial domain. At the same time, a new regularization called spatial cluster is introduced to improve the performance of signal reconstruction. The regularization derives from the observation that the nonzero coefficients often tend to be clustered in the difference of the consecutive video frames. We implement an experiment platform to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm. Numerous experiments show the well performance of video acquisition and frame reconstruction on single pixel camera.
