This paper presents the study results of FACTS application plan for transmission capability Enhancement. Power transfer across the KEPCO system resulting from a concentration of load in the Kyung-In area are subject to thermal, voltage and stability constrains. In the analysis study of the KEPCO system in 2000 and 2006 year. voltage stability analysis. modal analysis and dynamic stability were simulated by the power system analysis tools(VSTAB, PSS/E).

This paper presents the study results of FACTS application effect for transmission capability Enhancement. In a study of the application of series and shunt compensation to the mid and long term KEPCO system in 2000 and 2006 year, it was concluded that the successful application of FACTS would ve capable of controlling power flow in KEPCO system with incr eased transfers without exceeding existing thermal and dynamic stability limits.

In this paper, the application schemes for coordinated control system of multiple FACTS were presented to enhance the voltage stability around the metropolitan areas. In order to coordinated control of FACTS devices, f-V analysis method which is one of the indices for voltage stability was performed with real time network data which is transferred from SCADA/EMS system. If the system is unstable after contingencies, the new operation set-point of FACTS would be determined using bus sensitivity from tangent vector at voltage instability point. Otherwise, we would determine the new operation set-point of FACTS for considering economical operation, like as active power loss minimization using Optimal Power Flow algorithm. In simulation, the SCADA/EMS 2007's data are used for studying the coordinated control algorithm of multiple FACTS devices that is installed or will be installed in KOREA power system

This paper evaluates FACTS control on the available transfer capability (ATC) enhancement. Technical merits of FACTS technology on boosting ATC are analyzed. More effective control means for line flow and bus voltage require the application of FACTS. In this paper, the power flow calculation method for the power systems with FACTS is based on the current injection model (CIM) and the Newton-Raphson method. An integrated scheme for ATC calculation, which considers the dynamic characteristic of the power system, is suggested. The study is applied to the IEEE 57-bus power system to demonstrate the effectiveness of FACTS control on ATC enhancement.

The availability of high power IGBT has led to development of controllable reactive power and harmonics compensation source for use in power transmission system. The paper describes the fundmental operating principles and several application examples. The control technique of reactive power and harmonics compensation for Distribution STATCON is presented, and the computer simulation results are shown to show the effectiveness of tile proposed control technique.

This paper proposes the control strategy of the shunt Flexible AC Transmission System (FACTS) devices to improve transient stability in multimachine power system. The multimachine power system has high nonlinear response after severe disturbance. The concept of Lyapunov energy function is applied to derive nonlinear control strategy and it was found that the time derivative of line voltage is not only can apply to control the shunt FACTS devices in multimachine system but also is locally measurable signal. The fuzzy logic control is also applied to overcome the uncertainty of various disturbances in multimachine power system. This paper presents the method of investigating the effect of the shunt FACTS devices on transient stability improvement. The proposed control strategy and the method of simulation are tested on the new England power system. It was found that the shunt FACTS devices based on the proposed nonlinear control strategy can improve transient stability of multimachine power system.

As a competition is introduced in the electricity supply industry, a congestion problem arises in the transmission network. The congestion causes the transmission cost to increase. One way to decrease the congestion cost is to control the transmission flow through the installation of FACTS(Flexible AC Transmission system). This paper deals with the optimal site of the FACTS for reducing the congestion cost using a shadow price which is one of the economic signals for the systems. Test results show that the site of the FACTS(UPFC) is optimal to minimize the congestion cost by the proposed algorithm.

This paper proposes a novel switching strategy of 1Mvar STATCON using cascade multilevel H-bridge inverter(HBI) for FACTS application. To control the reactive power instantaneously, the d-q dynamic system model is described and analyzed. A single pulse pattern based on the SHEM(Selective Harmonic Elimination Method) technique is determined from the look-up table to reduce the line current harmonics and a rotating fundamental frequency switching scheme is presented to adjust the DC voltage of each inverter capacitor at the same value. So the voltage unbalance problem between separately DC bus voltage is improved by using the proposed switching scheme. As a result, the presented inverter configuration not only reduces the system complexity by eliminating the isolation at the AC input side transformer but also improves the dynamic response to the step change of reactive power.

For the useful method capable of modern expression on traditional residence architecture, a study was performed on the methodological establishment and possibility of typological method could be examinated to interior design process by typological method. First of all, through the establishment verbal of our Korean traditional architecture and further investigation of environmental and cultural idealogical facts, it could be extracted from natural instinct, duality, continuance, flexibility and transitiov. In second process, based on these results, it could be framed and described the individual typological language and, for the sake of drawing for visual and spatial typology, it was made by sketch in terms and view of possibile guidance of prototype, transforming and application method. from these results of investigated sketches, it cold be used for criteria of application method as the parts of visual and spatial typological elements to have an applicable expression of it/s traditionality. Based on above facts, for the subjects of spatial system, form & shape system, circulation system, order system, decoration system, color & material system in interior design fields, we cold propose the practical possibility through the consideration of application method for built-in meaning that could be adaptable for the interior design practices. These facts were extracted from the based on visual & spatial typology, as above mentiov. Also, through preparing and suggesting the criteria of evaluation and measurement of design quality , we could propose the applicable methodology for further & basically Korean traditional embodiment.

This paper is study the ways of finding sexual abuse facts of children at home and the standards of recognizing such facts. The investigation and recognition about sexual abuse of children are necessary for remedy or care of children and their family and also for punishment upon the harmer or sanction against him by family laws. But, on account of the characteristics of sexual abuse acts and the standpoint that sufferers are children, it's very difficult to find those kinds of facts. Medical examinations, observations by specialists behavioral indicators, use of dolls & other props, and interviewing are applied to finding sexual abuse facts of children. However, these investigating methods have many uppermost limits, and don't necessarily have conformable conclusions. especially 'interviewing' is essentially used to find a child who has suffered sexual abuses and to investigate and examine a harmer who has been charged with such sexual acts. but 'interviewing' has no less obstacles in reality than has some utilities. For that reason, a follow-up study of (what is) the most effective method is required, with the case=by-case application of other methods. And along with that, it must be taken into consideration that, in process of finding a sexually abused child and in ex post facto measure against accompanying ill effects, the child's protection and the family's privacy ought to be legally guaranteed. So to speak, in making and enforcing the family laws, a profound study of the family to produce good fruits must be made.
