  • Human basophilic KU812F cells express a high affinity for IgE receptor, $Fc{\varepsilon}RI$, which plays an important role in immunoglobulin E (IgE)-mediated allergic reactions. Using the human basophilic KU812F cells, we assessed the inhibitory effects of the ethanolic extract from Chrysanthemum zawadsaki(CZ) on $Fc{\varepsilon}RI$ ${\alpha}$ chain expression. Flow cytometric analysis showed that cell surface $Fc{\varepsilon}RI$ ${\alpha}$ chain expression was suppressed when the cells were cultured with CZ extract. RT-PCR analysis showed that the mRNAs for $Fc{\varepsilon}RI$ ${\alpha}$ chain decreased by the treatment of CZ extract. Moreover, CZ extract was also observed to result in a reduction in the release of histamine from anti-$Fc{\varepsilon}RI$ antibody (CRA-1)-stimulated cells. These results suggest that CZ extract may exert anti-allergic activity through down-regulation of $Fc{\varepsilon}RI$ ${\alpha}$ chain expression and a subsequent decrease in histamine release.

  • The full-length cDNA of the lumbrokinase fraction 6 (F6) protease gene of Lumbricus rubellus was amplified using an mRNA template, sequenced and expressed in E. coli cells. The F6 protease gene consisted of pro- and mature sequences by gene sequence analysis, and the protease was translated and modified into active mature polypeptide by N-terminal amino acid sequence analysis of the F6 protease. The pro-region of F6 protease consisted of the 44 residues from methionine-1 to lysine-44, and the mature polypeptide sequence (239 amino acid residues and one stop codon; 720 bp) started from isoleucine-45 and continued to the terminal residue. F6 protease gene clones having pro-mature sequence and mature sequence produced inclusion bodies in E. coli cells. When inclusion bodies were orally administrated rats, generated thrombus weight in the rat' venous was reduced by approximately 60% versus controls. When the inclusion bodies were solubilized in pepsin and/or trypsin solutions, the solubilized enzymes showed hemolytic activity in vitro. It was concluded the F6 protease has hemolytic activity, and that it is composed of pro- and mature regions.

  • This study has been made to investigate the stress distribution around defects and inclusions that behave as stress concentrators. The stress distribution and interation effects around defects and inclusions was analyzed using Finite Element Method. The results are as follows;(1) Maximum stress point in case of $E_I/E_M>1$($E_I$:elasticity modulus forthe inclusion, $E_M$/:elasticity modulus for the base material)is the vertical point with respect to force direction and in case of $E_I/E_M<1$ it is the parallel point along the hole edge. (2) Interaction effects of ${\sigma}_y$ for the inclusion side is larger than the defect side when the interval between inclusion and defect is near. (3) stress interation effects is large if the difference of ${\sigma}_y$ is small and it is small if the difference of ${\sigma}_y$ is large for the case that the interval between inclusion and defect whose size and property are different is near.

  • Until now, method of equivalent circuit is generally used in analyzing the characteristic of the synchronous alternator. But this method can't apply when loads are connected to alternator. In this paper, we analyzed the load characteristic of the synchronous alternator with permanant magnet using 2-dimensional finite element method having voltage source. The loads of a alternator are battary and diodes which are used to rectify. also, we used half periodic boundary condition in the F.E.M calculation

  • The Friction Stir Welding (FSW) is a new joining method that was developed at The Welding Institute (TWI) in England in 1991. It applied heating by the rotational friction and material plastic flow. It was developed as a new joining method to solve the problems of epochally in the welding of Al alloys. In the study, 6000series of Alloy composed of AI-Mg-Si, one of the Al alloys that are utilized for shipbuilding and construction, is selected as a specimen and the numerical is executed against the welded zone of FSW. The material used in this study had the unique properties of strength and anti-corrosion, but since the welded joint of this material is easily softened by the welding heat, FSW is executed and the numerical analysis is carried out around the joint. To examine the mechanical behaviors and properties, F.E.M analysis is executed and the developed thermal-elastic-plastic [mite analysis are used.

  • For any given function f, we focus on the so-called prescribed mean curvature problem for the measure e-f(|x|2)dx provided thate-f(|x|2) ∈ L1(ℝn+1). More precisely, we prove that there exists a smooth hypersurface M whose metric is ds2 = dρ2 + ρ2d𝜉2 and whose mean curvature function is ${\frac{1}{n}}(\frac{u^p}{{\rho}^{\beta}})e^{f({\rho}^2)}{\psi}(\xi)$ for any given real constants p, β and functions f and ψ where u and ρ are the support function and radial function of M, respectively. Equivalently, we get the existence of a smooth solution to the following quasilinear equation on the unit sphere 𝕊n, $${\sum_{i,j}}({{\delta}_{ij}-{\frac{{\rho}_i{\rho}_j}{{\rho}^2+|{\nabla}{\rho}|^2}})(-{\rho}ji+{\frac{2}{{\rho}}}{\rho}j{\rho}i+{\rho}{\delta}_{ji})={\psi}{\frac{{\rho}^{2p+2-n-{\beta}}e^{f({\rho}^2)}}{({\rho}^2+|{\nabla}{\rho}|^2)^{\frac{p}{2}}}}$$ under some conditions. Our proof is based on the powerful method of continuity. In particular, if we take $f(t)={\frac{t}{2}}$, this may be prescribed mean curvature problem in Gauss measure space and it can be seen as an embedded result in Gauss measure space which will be needed in our forthcoming papers on the differential geometric analysis in Gauss measure space, such as Gauss-Bonnet-Chern theorem and its application on positive mass theorem and the Steiner-Weyl type formula, the Plateau problem and so on.

  • The analyses of correlation, enviromental gradient, continuum and polar ordination methods were used for studing on relationships between forest vegetation and their habitats in Mt. changan, chagsu-gun, korea. influencing correlation of moisture index to the main 41species from the study area they were composed of several groups by leading species of quercus mongoulica, that of carpinus tschonoskii and that of fraxinus mandshurica. On the other hand, it was found three communities in different habitats by environmental gradient i.e. each community of f. mandshurica, mangnolia sieboldii and hydrangea serrata for. acuminata have occurred in moist place, that of c. teschonoskii and q. serrata, in mesic and that of q. mongolica, q.variabilis, rhododendron schlippenbachii, in dry. in addition an occupied distribution area was investigated according to continuum index e.g. cornus controversa, betula costata,q. variabilis, q. serrata and q. mongolica over altitudinal 800m were distributed to a habitat were forming climax by q. mongolica, and/or c. controversa, f. mandshurica, q. serrata and c. tschonoskii under altitudinal 800m were done, by g. tschonoskii. while the forest vegetation of the area was classified into 6 communities such as q. mongolica community, q. variabilis community,q. serrata community, g. tschonoskii community,c. controversa community and f. mandshurica community by means of polar ordination analysis and these have come under the influence of environmental factors.
