This paper deals with surface crack behavior and the fatigue life prediction of notched specimens using the relation between surface crack length, a, and the cycle ratio, $N/N_{f}$. From the $a-N\;/\;N_{f}$ curves, UC(the upper limit curve), LC(the lower limit curve) and MC(the middle limit curve) were assumed and utilized to predict the fatigue life and crack growth rate. The data computed from the three assumed curves were compared with the experimental data. It has been found that in the stable crack growth region ($N/N_{f}=0.3-0.8$) fatigue life can be predicted within 20% errors. Using the characteristics of $a-N\;/\;N_{f}$ curve, it is possible to predict the $da/dN-K_{max}$ curve, the $da/dN-{\Delta}K_{{\varepsilon}_t}$ curve, and the $S-N_{f}$ curve.
The distrust about chemical plant safety have been increased by occurring the major industrial accidents. Chemical plants have become more and more enlarged and sophisticated to increase production amount and decrease cost. So hazard of industrial accidents also have been increased. In this situation, quantitative risk assessment is activated by introducing OCA(Off-site Consequence Analysis). So it is possible to analyze the objective hazard of chemical plant. Currently OCA focus on the end point of hazardous area by fire/explosion/dispersion. But in this case, it is possible to analyze the industrial accident effect to near the chemical plant but hard to consider the actual hazard by frequency and population density. This study analyzes the validity about application of F-N curve to OCA by compare end point with F-N curve about accident.
This paper deals with a fatigue life prediction of a surface crack based on the experimentally obtained relationship between surface crack length ratio $a/a_{f}$ and cycle ratio $N/N_{f}$ using micro computer. Firstly $a/a_{f}$-$N/N_{f}$ curves obtained from experimental tests, were assumed as three curves UC(the upper limit curve), LC(the lower limit curve) and MC(the middle curve), and these were utilized to predict the fatigue life. Comparing the calculated values which represent the characteristics of crack growth behaviors from the three assumed curves with the experimental ones, it has been found that in the stable crack growth region, they coincide reasonably well each other. And the differences between the fatigue lives obtained from the assumed curves and the experimental fatigue life did not exceed 20%. Using the characteristics of $a/a_{f}$-$N/N_{f}$ curves, it is possible to predict the da/dN-Kmax curves and the S-$N_{f}$ curves.

Stress distribution and deformation on the CT-type(Cross Tension type) spot welded lap joint subjected to out of plane tensile load were investigated by finite element method. Using the maximum principal stresses at the nugget edge obtained by FEM analysis, evaluated the fatigue strength of the CT-type spot welded lap joints having various dimensions and materials. and also, the influence of the geometrical parameters of CT-type spot welded lap joints on stress distribution and fatigue strength must be evaluated. thus, in this paper, ${\Delta}P-N_f$ curve were obtained by fatigue tests. Using these results, ${\Delta}P-N_f$ curve were systematically rearranged in the $\Delta\sigma-N_f$ relation with the hot spot stresses at the CT-type spot welded lab joints. It was found that the proposed $\Delta\sigma-N_f$ relation could provide a more reasonable fatigue design criterion for the CT-type spot welded lap joints.

Purpose:We have investigated to analysis biomechanics for pinch strength due to elbow flexion degree. Methods:Pinch strength was measured by Electro Dynamometer(G-100) using four elbow flexion degree ($0^{\circ}$, $45^{\circ}$, $90^{\circ}$, $135^{\circ}$). Results:In experimental results, we found that pinch strengths were 5.4kg($0^{\circ}$), 4.8kg($45^{\circ}$), 5.6kg($90^{\circ}$) and 5.2kg($135^{\circ}$), respectively. The Pinch strengths got maximum at $90^{\circ}$ degree, minimum at $45^{\circ}$ degree. We have calculated F1 values using $\sum$T=0. As a result F1 values were 540N($0^{\circ}$), 480N($45^{\circ}$), 560N($90^{\circ}$) and 520N($135^{\circ}$), respectively. F1 values got maximum at $90^{\circ}$ degree, minimum at $45^{\circ}$ degree. Data curve line of $F_1$ values was increased in 45~90 section and decreased in 0~45, 90~135 sections, respectively. Conclusion:$F_1$ (Flexor digitorum superficialis and profundus) values were 10 times bigger than pinch strengths. Data curve line of $F_1$ values was similar to active length-tension curve in 45~90, 90~135 sections.
L. H Encinas, A. J. Menezes and J. M. Masque in [3] proposed a classification of isomorphism classes of hyperelliptic curve of genus 2 over finite fields with characteristic different from 2 and 5. Y. Choie and D. Yun in [2] obtained the number of isomorphic classes of hyperelliptic curves of genus 2 over $F_{2-}$ using direct counting method. We have obtained isomorphism classes of hyperelliptic curves of genus 2 over $F_{2n}$ for odd n, represented by an equation of the form $y^2$ + $a_{5}$ y = $x^{5}$ + $a_{8}$ x + $a_{10}$ ( $a_{5}$$\neq$0) [1]. In this paper we characterize hyperelliptic curves of genus 2 over $F_{2n}$ for even n, represented by an equation of the form $y^2$ + $a_{5}$ y = $x^{5}$ + $a_{5}$ x + $a_{10}$ ( $a_{5}$$\neq$0).>0).
For the life evaluating of notched members, it is the best way that performing the real fatigue test of structure containing notch. But this method required generally much times and costs to evaluate fatigue life. So, generally we use the modified S-N curve or several methods to predict fatigue life. In this study, crack initiation life was evaluated by fatigue testing the SAE keyhole specimen and smooth specimen made of Al 7075-T6 alloys using the constant load then obtained S-N curve of smooth specimen and P-N curve of SAE keyhole specimen. And, fatigue lives of keyhole specimen are predicted using some life prediction methods (Nominal range I method, Nominal range II method, FEM analysis) for investigating experimented results, and that were compared with experimental data. Predicted fatigue lives by FEM analysis were corresponded with experimental data between 1/3times and 3times on the whole, and predicted fatigue lives using modified S-N curve (Nominal range I method, Nominal range II method) were nonconservative compared with that of FEM analysis.

An investigation made of the easing contraction ratio according to sewing conditions (eased seam angle; 0$^{\circ}$ 20$^{\circ}$ 30$^{\circ}$ 45$^{\circ}$ 60$^{\circ}$ 70$^{\circ}$ 90$^{\circ}$, stitch density; 38 stitches/3 cm(N1.0), 26 stitches/ 3 cm(N1.5), 19 stitches/3 cm(N2.0), 14 stitches/3 cm(N2.5), 12 stitches/3 cm(N3.0), thread; sp 60' s/2) by lockstitch industrial sewing machine with shirring foot. The results abstained were as follows: 1. The lower the stitch density , the higher the easing contraction ratio. 2. The easing contraction ratio at 0$^{\circ}$ and 90$^{\circ}$ were lower than bias angles (20$^{\circ}$, 30$^{\circ}$, 45$^{\circ}$, 60$^{\circ}$, 70$^{\circ}$). 3. As the results of visual test, the maximum easing conditions were Fl -0$^{\circ}$.20$^{\circ}$.30$^{\circ}$.45$^{\circ}$-12 stitches/3 cm(N3.0), 60$^{\circ}$. 70$^{\circ}$. 90$^{\circ}$-14 stitches/3 cm(N2.5), F2 -0$^{\circ}$. 20$^{\circ}$.30$^{\circ}$.60$^{\circ}$.70$^{\circ}$.90$^{\circ}$-19 stitches/ 3 cm(N2.0), 45$^{\circ}$ -14 stitches/3 cm(N2.5), and F3 -0$^{\circ}$.20$^{\circ}$.30$^{\circ}$.45$^{\circ}$.60$^{\circ}$.70$^{\circ}$.90$^{\circ}$-19 stitches/3 cm (N2.0). 4. Approximately easing contraction ratio was obtained as 2.0% (N1.0)~ 10.2% (N3.0) in F1, 6.7% (N1.0)~ 15.7% (N2.0) in F2, and 5.2% (N1.0)~ 12.1% (N2.0) in F3, according to different angles on the sleeve cap curve line. 5. As a resets of SPSS PC) statistics analysis, it confirmed the relations which were observed between easing contration ratio and stitch density, and easing contraction ratio was correlated with bending properties.
L. H. Encinas, A. J. Menezes, and J. M. Masque in [2] proposed a classification of isomorphism classes of hyperelliptic curve of genus 2 over finite fields with characteristic different from 2 and 5. Y. Choie and D. Yun in [1] obtained for the number of isomorphic classes of hyperelliptic curves of genus 2 over $F_q$ using direct counting method. In this paper we will classify the isomorphism classes of hyperelliptic curves of genus 2 over $F_{2^n}$ for odd n, represented by an equation of the form $y^2+a_5y=x^5+a_8x+a_{10}(a_5{\neq}0)$.
