Extreme sports refers to sports activities with a high level of inherent danger, such as extreme skiing, snow-boarding, mountain biking, motocross bicycling, aggressive in-line skating, wake-boarding, and paragliding. This study investigates the characteristics of extreme sports participants as group identities through an examination of the differences between extreme sports participants and traditional sports groups in lifestyle and sportswear benefits sought. We composed a total 108-item lifestyle profiles characterized by six lifestyle dimensions (dress, diet, home, recreation, consumption, and sense of values); in addition, we developed 32 items for sportswear benefits sought. The surveys targeted 422 sports participants living in Korea (216 men and 206 women, aged 15-23): 119 extreme sports participants and 303 traditional sports participants. All items were evaluated on a 5-point Likert scale, and SPSS 17.0. was used for data analysis. Exploratory factor analysis was conducted to confirm the substructure of each lifestyle dimension and sportswear benefits sought. The results of the factor analysis on each lifestyle dimension are as follows: 5 factors in dress dimension, 4 in diet, 3 in home, 6 in recreation, 5 in consumption, and 6 in sense of values. Six factors of sportswear benefit sought were identified. A t-test revealed that there were significant differences between the two groups in lifestyle dimensions and sportswear benefits sought. This study reveals that the lifestyle characteristics of extreme sports participants are more likely than traditional sports group to be more self-expressive, more distinctive, more fashion-oriented, more conspicuous, and more brand-oriented, while preferring more active sports, more dynamic leisure, and a more sensible life. Another finding is that extreme sports participants seek the distinctive, conspicuous, and latest sportswear benefits.

The study aimed to effect of leisure support and leisure constraints on life satisfaction for extreme sports participants. A total of 368 adults from Seoul, In-chon, Gyeonggi, and Chungcheng-do were recruited. I conducted frequency, reliability, confirmatory factor, correction, and structure equaling modeling analyses using PASW Statistics 18.0 and AMOS 18.0. The results were as follows: (1) leisure support of extreme sport participants has no influence on leisure constraints; (2) leisure support of extreme sport participants had no influence on life satisfaction; (3) leisure constrain of extreme sports had a positive influence on life satisfaction. The article revealed which sport activity as like leisure activity had influence on life satisfaction, and leisure support of participants were related with life satisfaction. Therefore, we continue need to induce to join a extreme sport as it publicize a good benefits for extreme sport.

The purpose of this study was to look into the views of marriage of gold miss' who participate in extreme sports. Two women, the participants of this study, have a specialized job and they take part in risky sports. Collecting data has been performed from December, 2012 to March, 2013 by conducting in-depth interviews and participatory observation. The interview was conducted for a couple of hours with flexibility. These were the conclusions of this study. The participation motivation in extreme sports was to cure their diseases such as arrhythmia or inflammation, and this activities caused a stress reduction, sense of competent, way to escape from melancholy daily life, happiness, and satisfaction. Also, unhappy family matter, economic independence, and sensation-seeking were found as the main factors that affect their views of marriage.

The purpose of this study was to identify the correlation among participating in the extreme sports, the flow experience and the satisfaction of life. 420 participants of the extreme sports were selected by the Judgement Sampling Method. Factor analysis and multi-regression analysis have been conducted. The conclusion is as follows. First, the participants' life satisfaction is partially affected by the duration period and term. Second, period, frequency, duration partially effect to life satisfaction. Third, flow experience partially effect to life satisfaction.

This study analyzed 214 sports knee braces found on Chinese websites between October 2022 and November 2022 to assess product type (impact protection material, fastening method, and protection method), material composition, size, weight, and main characteristics. The product type was further categorized according to (1) use of hard guard and soft guard protection method; (2) cover type, strap type, and slip-on type fastening method; and (3) pressure type and support type protection method. It also noted the physical shock protection materials used, including foam (EVA or polyurethane) attached to joints as a buffer material and plastic (TPU or PP) that protects the user's knee from external impacts. The study found that the materials that primarily comprise sports knee braces are a combination of nylon, polyester, and neoprene. Additionally, it found that most sports knee braces available on the market are available in three sizes based on knee circumference: M (35-38cm), L (38-41cm), and XL (41-44cm), while some products are available in one size only. Furthermore, the majority of the 214 products studied weighed 200g, followed by 1,000g. Finally, in terms of product characteristics, many sports knee braces utilize ring-shaped silicone pads to distribute the load pressure on the knees or incorporate sturdy adhesive velcro to improve knee stability.

The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of extreme heat on muscle function and muscle injury marker in elderly women. The subjects of this study were eight post-menopausal elderly women without any metabolic disease. All eight subjects were asked to perform the knee joint isokinetic exercise using isokinetic equipment (cybex) in the laboratory and experimental temperature within laboratory was adjusted to two conditions: extreme heat temperature(33±0.5℃) and normal temperature(20±0.5℃) maintained in 50±3% humidity conditions. Each experimental exercise was monitored and analyzed the change of HSP70, LDH and CK. Muscular functions (peak torque, total work, percentage of peak torque body weight, fatigue index, average power and total work) were significant differences at exercise between temperatural conditions (p<.05). In extreme heat temperature, muscular injury markers (HSP70, LDH and CK) were increased, threfore resulted in significantly higher than normal temperature(p<.05). These results show that extreme heat temperature can decrease muscle function in elderly women.

During recent few years, Bike is arising as one of the most important item of sports market. As well as in domestic markets, customers are demanding specific brands only for young aged riders. Therefore, this study researched current bike wears and suggest digital textile printing with sports wear trends which also have safety and visual impact effectiveness, so it can be satisfied as green products and we also try to suggest sports sensitivity of existing cycle wear to city fashion. The purpose of this study is to figure out 20's-30's female biker attitude for bike wear and their purchasing habits and also their preference, digital textile design of city biker wear based on present condition research of riding wear markets and to establish high quality products with occupying high percentage of global markets and making high profits. For this study, bike wear distributors Survey First, foreign companies generally meet evenly sampling the 20s and 30s targeted vendors 10 companies were selected. 'city sporty ware' or 'casual line' dual 'extreme line' from all manufacturers, including, however did not distinguish it from all the vendors. This higher proportion of the recent upsurge in public and non-professional riders, despite the fact that you can see that the lack of 'Extreme line' compared to the 'casual' line of the city sporty ware production. overall seasonal sales in the spring appeared windbreak jacket, leggings and sweat emissions and at the same time built into the fabric dry faster T-shirt and shorts in the summer sales were higher. autumn jacket and produced excellent warm in winter fleece fabric T-shirts, pants, windshield jacket higher sales. showed improvements in design, improved in the order of the highest and perfect for everyday wear for both. As mentioned, we figure out 20's-30's female rider's attitude for riding suit and their purchasing habits and also their preference, so we can develop riding suit design based on their needs and suggest new design patterns.

Metal matrix composites (MMCs), which are a combination of two or more constituents with different physical or chemical properties, are today receiving great attention in various areas, as they have high specific strength, corrosion resistance, fatigue strength, and good tribological properties. This paper presents a research review on the combination of matrix and reinforced materials, fabrication processes, and application status of metal matrix composites. In this paper, we aim to discuss and review the importance of metal composite materials as advanced materials that can be used in various applications such as transportation, defense, sports, and extreme environments. In addition, the applicability and technology development trends in new process technology fields such as additive manufacturing of metal composites will be described.

현재 자동차의 변화를 이끄는 흐름에서 가장 핵심이 되고 있는 유형 Sport Utility Vehicle은 전천후 기동성 측면과 Sports성을 중심적인 특성으로 다루고 있다. 그러나 SUV로서 off road 중심의 공간 활용 보다는 실내 공간 중심의 활용이 더욱 중요한 특성으로 자리잡고 있다. 이러한 경향은 주 5일 근무 정착에 따른 여가 시간의 증가와 아울러 보다 다양한 직업과 생활 패턴 등에 따라 더욱 두드러질 것으로 보인다. 이러한 근 미래 변화에 대응하는 방법으로 기존의 SUV type에서 탈피하여 sports성을 반영하는 동시에 보다 utility적 활용 중심의 특성을 가지는 XUV (eXtreme Utility Vehicle)라는 새로운 유형을 2010년 시점의 근 미래 테크놀러지와 조형성의 동향 예측, 사용자 요구점 분석 포지셔닝 등을 통해 제안한다.

In this study, we analyzed the relationships between weather factors and photosystem II activity (F_v/F_m), as a measure of photochemical efficiency, in three cool-season turfgrasses commonly planted on golf courses in Jeju, South Korea: perennial ryegrass (Lolium perenne L.), Kentucky bluegrass (Poa pratensis L.), and creeping bentgrass (Agrostis palustris Huds.). In all three turfgrasses, F_v/F_m was higher during late summer than during early summer. However, in late summer, F_v/F_m was significantly lower in perennial ryegrass than in the other two species. In early summer, F_v/F_m in perennial ryegrass and Kentucky bluegrass was positively correlated with mean low temperature and extreme minimum temperature, whereas, in late summer, this parameter in Kentucky bluegrass and creeping bentgrass was positively correlated with relative humidity, and in creeping bentgrass was negatively correlated with mean high temperature, mean low temperature, and extreme maximum temperature. These results indicate that raising low temperatures is favorable for perennial ryegrass and Kentucky bluegrass in early summer, whereas, in late summer, the lowering of high temperatures proves to be beneficial for creeping bentgrass, and raising relative humidity is conducive to the growth of Kentucky bluegrass and creeping bentgrass. These findings will contribute to improving the selection and management of turfgrasses on golf courses and sports fields.
