Resolution of β-Amino Acids on a Chiral Stationary Phase Based on (+)-(18-Crown-6)-2,3,11,12-tetracarboxilic Acid without Extra Free Aminopropyl Groups on Silica Surface

  • A liquid chromatographic chiral stationary phase (CSP) based on (+)-(18-crown-6)-2,3,11,12-tetracarboxilic acid without extra free aminopropyl groups on silica surface has been demonstrated to be quite effective for the resolution of various $\beta$-amino acids. The retention factors ($k_1$) for the resolution of $\beta$-amino acids on the CSP were quite large and the large retention factors might be quite attractive along with the reasonable separation factors ($\alpha$) for preparative scale enantioselective chromatography. The large retention factors on the CSP were found to be reduced effectively by adding ammonium ion to mobile phase without sacrificing the chiral recognition efficiency of the CSP. Consequently, the CSP is also quite applicable for use in analytical enantioselective chromatography.

건자재활용을 위한 축열용 다공성 미립자 상변환 물질 흡착 특성 (Charateristics on the PCM absorbed porous media as thermal storage applicable for construction material)

  • Purpose: Both silica gel and activated carbon black particles were adopted for use as PCM absorbed porous media applicable as construction materials. To investigate usable methods for absorbing PCM into the media, they were soaked into PCM and also tested for enhancement of PCM absorption into them. Method: To test PCM absorption into some porous media such as both ${\varphi}1{\sim}2mm$ and $10{\mu}m$ silica gels, and $50{\mu}m$ activated carbon black, $43^{\circ}C$ PCM was used as a laten heat material. The method, soaking into PCM was applied to this study, and the media were moderately rotated by centrifuge to have the extra PCM flow out. DSC analysis was conducted to investigate the melting and solidifying of the PCM absorbed into the porous media. Result: It was found that PCM was absorbed into the porous media by over 85 wt% of all particles. In addition, it was noted that the ultrasonic vibrator was accelerating the PCM absorption into the particles to three times higher speed than simple soaking. Centrifuge was adopted to remove extra PCM sticking on the particle surfaces and extra PCM was moderately removed from the surfaces of the particles. DSC analysis indicated that the latent heat of the absorbed PCM particles was 160 J/g, and the melting temperature was approximately $40^{\circ}C{\sim}50^{\circ}C$.

Prognostic Value of the Anatomic Region of Metastatic Lymph Nodes in the Current TNM Staging of Gastric Cancer

  • Purpose: The numeric N stage has replaced the topographic N stage in the current tumor node metastasis (TNM) staging in gastric carcinoma. However, the usefulness of the topographic N stage in the current TNM staging system is uncertain. We aimed to investigate the prognostic value of the topographic N stage in the current TNM staging system. Materials and Methods: We reviewed the data of 3350 patients with gastric cancer who underwent curative gastrectomy. The anatomic regions of the metastatic lymph nodes (MLNs) were classified into 2 groups: perigastric and extra-perigastric. The prognostic value of the anatomic region was analyzed using a multivariate prognostic model with adjustments for the TNM stage. Results: In patients with lymph node metastasis, extra-perigastric metastasis demonstrated significantly worse survival than perigastric metastasis alone (5-year survival rate, 39.6% vs. 73.1%, respectively, P<0.001). Extra-perigastric metastasis demonstrated significantly worse survival within the same pN stage; the multivariate analysis indicated that extra-perigastric metastasis was an independent poor prognostic factor (hazard ratio=1.33; 95% confidence interval=1.01-1.75). The anatomic region of the MLNs improved the goodness-of-fit (likelihood ratio statistics, 4.57; P=0.033) of the prognostic model using the TNM stage. Conclusions: The anatomic region of MLNs has an independent prognostic value in the numeric N stage in the current TNM staging of gastric carcinoma.

플래시 발생 억제형 신발 중창 금형 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Development of Shoe Midsole Mold for Flash-less)

  • In this study, to develop a flash-less mold for forming of shoe-midsole, experiments and forming analysis were carried out. In order to reduce the extra-materials, the final preform has been modified by the experiment of pressure forming at the room temperature. To measure the contact status of parting surface of mold, the pressure film has been used. The midsole mold of the wedge structure type has been developed for the improvement of the contact status. The vertical pressing mold structure was introduced for the production of a flash-less midsole. By the investigation, flash of shoe-midsole was considerably reduced.

초경석고와 메타카올린 혼합재료의 물성실험 및 적용 (Physical Properties Testing and Practical Applications of Restoration Materials Made with Extra Hard Stone and Metakaolin)

  • 기존의 석고복원재로 복원한 문화재는 대기 중의 수분을 반복하여 흡·방출하면서 물성이 약화되어 형태가 변형되고 채색층 박락이 진행된다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 단점을 보완하기 위해 일반석고보다 더 강한 초경석고를 실험대상으로 두었으며 메타카올린(Metakaolin)을 혼합하여 도자기 복원재료로 적합하도록 물성을 개선하였다. 초경석고와 메타카올린 혼합재료의 압축강도(119MPa)는 일반석고(26MPa)보다 월등히 높았으며, 마모율(0.88%)은 일반석고의 마모율 2.53% 보다 낮게, 흡수율(2.9%)은 일반석고(17.2%) 보다 약 5배 낮게 측정되었다. 특히, 주사전자현미경 관찰결과 혼합재료의 경화치밀도가 단미의 초경석고보다 높았다. 즉, 메타카올린을 첨가함으로써 초경석고의 강도와 수분저항성을 높이고 표면을 치밀하게 하여 도자기 복원재료로서 적합하게 물성을 개선시켰다. 그리고 이 혼합재료를 실재 문화재인 토제수반(신안18892), 분청사기조화문병(접수2034), 분청사기 국문내인화문대접(접수1730)의 결손부 복원에 적용해봄으로써, 혼합재료가 주입 및 적층성형에 유리하고 경화표면이 균질하여 자연스러운 채색이 가능한 재료임을 확인하였다.

레미콘 단위수량 산포가 콘크리트 강도 및 내구성에 미치는 영향 (An Influence of Unit-Water Content Distribution in Ready-Mixed Concrete on Strength and Durability of Concrete)

  • 레미콘 제조오차에 의한 콘크리트내의 물의 수량이 증가하면 내구성저하 등의 다양한 문제점을 야기하게 된다. 이러한 이유로 여러 방법들 중에 단위수량의 신속측정법인 정전용량법, 고주파가열법, 단위용적질량법을 이용하여 단위수량의 변동을 관리하고 있으며, 특히 일본의 경우에는 단위수량 변동 ($\pm$ 10, 15, 20 kg/$m^3$ 등)에 대한 관리지침을 규정하여 관리하고 있다. 그러나 일본에서 규정하고 있는 각종 지침들이 내구성 저하도를 고려하지 않은 상태에서 제조오차와 측정오차를 확률적으로 고려한 불확도 개념에서 합부판정 기준을 정하고 있는 실정이다. 이에 본 논문에서는 불확도 개념뿐만 아니라 실제 수량 산포에 따라 내구성 저하에 미치는 영향을 검토하고자 수량을 추가로 첨가하여 동결융해, 중성화, 염해를 중심으로 내구성 저하도를 측정하였다. 이상의 실험 결과 일반강도 범위 내에서 15 kg/$m^3$ 이상의 수량이 추가로 첨가 되었을 경우 콘크리트의 성능 저하 효과가 크기 때문에 설계된 내구 성능의 적정 수준 이상을 유지하기 위해서는 배합 설계된 단위수량에 대한 품질관리에 유의할 필요가 있다.

Primary Extra Nodal Non Hodgkin Lymphoma: A 5 Year Retrospective Analysis

  • Background and Aim: The incidence of extra nodal non Hodgkin lymphoma (ENL) is rising throughout the world. However, data regarding ENL as a group is limited. The aim was to study the epidemiological and histomorphological trends of primary ENL (pENL) in India. Material and Methods: The biopsy materials from sixty eight patients with pENL (45 male, 23 female, M:F= 1.9:1), diagnosed over a five year period (2005-2009), were analysed and pathologically reclassified according to the World Health Organization (WHO) classification, 2008 criteria. Results: Primary extra nodal non Hodgkin lymphomas constituted 22.0% (68/308) of all non Hodgkin lymphomas (NHL). The mean age at presentation for pENL and primary nodal NHL was 43 years and 58 years, respectively with a male predilection (M: F=2:1). Central nervous system (CNS) constituted the most common extranodal site (20/68, 29.5%) followed by gastrointestinal tract (17/68, 25%), and nose/nasopharynx (8/68, 11.8%). Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL, not otherwise specified), extranodal marginal lymphoma of mucosa associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) type, and B cell NHL unclassified (U) were the three most common histological types observed. T-cell phenotype was rarely noted (4%). Follicular lymphomas and anaplastic large cell lymphoma, seen among nodal NHL, were absent at extra nodal sites. Majority (41/68, 60%) of the patients with pENL were immunocompetent and 55% were in stage I-II with favorable prognosis. Conclusion: Central nervous system was the most common site of ENL, followed by gastrointestinal tract. Majority of pENL occurred in immunocompetent hosts with a favorable prognosis.

현행 수준별 수업 분석에 기초한 수준별 교육과정의 성공을 위한 처방 (A perspective on the 'Differentiated Curriculum'based on the results of implementing current 'differentiated classes' in mathematics)

  • Many schools of the secondary level have been recently carrying out 'differentiated class'based on ability grouping between classed(DC). They are usually consisted of three levels; high level available to enriched course, middle level, and low level available to supplemental course. Phrhaps, almost all of the schools might nave executed DC before 2000 year. To do this, a lots of teachers have to develop differentiated teaching and learning materials for themselves. But, these mateirals are usually consisted of differentiated mathematics not on 'content'but on 'items'. So, for the successful 7th differentiated curriculum, the issues such as teaching and learning methods, materials, and evaluation system should be considered in depth focused on DC. .Decide issues related to DC(for example, mathematical contents, methods, activities, class speed,extra)based not on teachers or experts but on students. .Differentiate teaching and learning mateirals according to DC and develop the materials(including guidelines, supplementary books, multimedia, extra) based not on mathematical items but on mathematical contents. .Introduce new mathematical concepts or laws using not only not only definition and explanation but also concrete examples or problems. .Suggest differentiated diverse projects related to mathematical subjects suitable to enhance students` thinking ability to each class. .Have students to develop projects successfully by collecting, representing, analyzing, and interpreting data through communications in a cooperative learning environment.

"주찬(酒饌)"속의 약용약주에 관한 고찰 (Analytical Study o Compounded Alcoholics Presented in "Chu Chan")

  • The contents of "Joo-Chan" consist of eighty two items abut alcoholics, a number of side dished and soybean sauces. Interpreted content was classified and analyzed. Selected 31 items among those brewages, compounded alcoholics, were distributed into 7 large patterns. The materials used for compounded alcoholics, were regular rice, waxy rice, wheat, yeast(NURUK), and compounded extra materials. Seven patterns, grounded on those materials, were set one thing to another and analyzed. analyzed.
