생물막 반응조에서 아질산염 축적에 미치는 운전인자 영향과 하수슬러지 가용화에 의한 탈질반응의 외부탄소원 공급에 관한 연구 (Influence of Operating Parameters on Nitrite Accumulation in a Biofilm Reactor and Supplement of External Carbon Source for Denitrification by Sewage Sludge Solubilization)

  • 고농도 질소를 함유한 하 폐수를 아질산염 축적 경로를 통하여 처리하고자 생물막공정과 연속혼합반응조의 탈질공정을 결합하여 운전하였다. 생물막 반응조의 폴리에틸렌 담체 표면에 아질산염 산화균에 비해서 암모늄 산화균의 성장을 촉진하여 아질산염을 선택적으로 축적하고자 반응조 온도를 $35^{\circ}C$로 유지하면서 석달 이상 장기간 운전하였음에도 불구하고 유입수 암모늄(500 mg-N/L)의 일부만 아질산염(240 mg-N/L)으로 전환되었다. 하지만 pH를 7.5에서 8.0으로 증가시켰을 때, 아질산염 산화균들이 높은 암모니아 농도에 성장 저해를 받아 생물막 공정에서 아질산염 축적을 성공적으로 이끌어낼 수 있었다. 생물막 공정의 수리학적 체류시간을 12시간으로 운전하였을 때, 반응조의 성능이 급격하게 저하되어 유입수의 암모늄이 완전히 산화되지 않았다. 하수슬러지의 생분해성을 높이기 위해서 다양한 가용화 기술을 적용한 결과, 알칼리와 초음파 처리를 순차적으로 병합하였을 때, 가장 높은 가용화율(58%)을 얻을 수 있었으며, 이를 탈질반응조의 외부탄소으로 사용하였다. FISH 분석결과로부터 담체표면에 암모늄 산화균인 Nitrosomonas와 Nitrospirar계열의 미생물들이 우점종이었으며 일부 아질산염 산화균인 Nitrobacter 계열의 미생물도 소량이지만 관찰되었다.

공급가스 유량에 따른 SOFC/GT 시스템 특성에 관한 연구 (A study on characteristics of SOFC/GT system for the supply gas flow rates)

  • 본 연구는 SOFC/GT(Solid Oxide Fuel Cell/Gas Turbine)시스템의 SOFC 스택으로 공급되는 공기, 메탄 및 물의 유량변화에 따른 SOFC/GT시스템의 온도, 스택 출력 및 시스템 효율의 특성에 관하여 조사하였다. 이 때 SOFC 스택의 애노드 및 캐소드로 공급되는 가스 온도는 외부 열원의 추가 없이 시스템에서 배출되는 배기가스를 활용하여 일정하게 유지하였다. 그 결과 본 연구의 범위 내에서 외부 열원의 추가 없이 SOFC/GT시스템의 배기가스를 활용하여 SOFC 스택으로 공급되는 애노드 및 캐소드 가스 공급온도를 1000(K)로 일정하게 유지하는 것이 가능하였다. 시스템 효율은 공급 공기 유량은 많을수록, 공급 메탄 유량은 적을수록 높아짐을 알 수 있었고, 터빈으로 공급되는 배기 가스의 유량이 시스템 효율에 큰 영향을 미침을 알 수 있었다. 또한, SOFC/GT시스템의 운전 조건에 따라서 SOFC 스택 효율은 51~57%, 시스템 효율은 57~73%의 값을 얻을 수 있었다.

진화론적 공간디자인에서의 혼성적 변이공간에 관한 연구 - 생물학적 진화론을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Hybrid Mutant Space of Evolutionary Space Design - Focus on the Biological Evolutionism -)

  • The relevance between organisms and their external environment covers everything including humans, natural and artificial surroundings, regarding which academic and scientific understanding has continued. Relevant elements established by inter-dependence between humans and environment and the unity of life should be translated from the perspective of a whole, not of unit elements or reduction. That is, a space is formed by its own program and assumes sustainable relevance based on interactions between internal and external spaces, not building an independent system. The present study aims to present the feasibility of a potential mutant space formed by invisible arenas between individuals and evolutionary space formation based on an ecological paradigm Accordingly, this study suggested that evolutionary attributes as the major power source of biological changes could verify the virtual multiplicity of a new space formation, and that the potential form generation of hybrid mutant space of emergence and infinite formative capability could be supported. The suggestions made here will hopefully contribute to extending applicability of evolutionary space generation in the field of space design. To derive the potential mutant forms from biological space, a preliminary study was conducted regarding the characteristics of evolutionary form generation. For the purpose of this study, three evolutionary perspectives of reproduction, mutation (variation) and selection were taken. First, the theory of evolution was defined and characterized. Also, the relevance between the characteristics generated and hybrid mutant space was analyzed to consider relevant characteristics. The present study helped to understand that the hybrid mutant space had an evolutionary space structure based on a biological paradigm. It was also found that the mutant space structure built by mutant polymorphism assumed a systematic correlation between space and environment.

광생물반응기내 광조사 유형별 탈황 효율 (Desulfurization efficiency in photobioreactors dependent on the irradiation type of light sources)

  • 본 연구는 광합성 균주인 C. thiosulfatophium을 이용한 황화수소의 생물학적 탈황공정시 광에너지를 저감시키기 위해 광원의 종류와 광조사 유형에 따른 탈황효율을 조사하였다. 광에너지를 저감시키기 위해서는 반응기내 광분산 효율을 극대화시켜야 한다. 광이용효율을 높이기 위해, 세균농도와 생성부산물의 증가에 의한 빛의 산란과 흡수가 세균성장에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구와 미생물이 필요로 하는 파장의 빛을 최대로 공급하기 위해 LED, 백열등, 태양광 등을 이용한 광원의 최적화 연구, 그리고 외부조사형 광반응기의 광투과 효율의 한계를 극복하기 위한 광섬유를 이용한 내부조사형 광반응기에 대한 연구를 수행하였다.

  • A method for partial discharge diagnosis based on UHF narrow band type for GIS has been developed and calibrated. In generally, PD cannot be directly measured under on-line condition, but we can indirectly measure the electromagnetic wave made by PD using the high-frequency antenna. Compared with VHF band, electromagnetic waves of UHF band have a low influence for external noise in high-voltage substation. Therefore, we can detect the real abnormality with several pC in GIS using UHF narrow-band type method. For the case of no internal VHF sensor for GIS of the domestic substation, it has applied to use the external UHF sensor attached in spacer in GIS of existing substation. In this paper, we firstly described the technique of partial discharge measurement using frequency analysis and phase analysis in UHF band. Secondly, we presented the results of sensitivity test, the relationship of dBm-pC and diagnosis result of the cause of PD source by phase analysis. And then, we report the diagnosis result of partial discharge on the real GIS in domestic substation. These results make above method applicable for measurement of quantity and cause of PD for real operation GIS in high-voltage substation.

Performance Improvement of Pneumatic Artificial Muscle Manipulators Using Magneto-Rheological Brake

  • A novel pneumatic artificial muscle actuator (PAM actuator), which has achieved increased popularity to provide the advantages such as high strength and high power/weight ratio, low cost, compactness, ease of maintenance, cleanliness, readily available and cheap power source, inherent safety and mobility assistance to humans performing tasks, has been regarded during the recent decades as an interesting alternative to hydraulic and electric actuators. However, some limitations still exist, such as the air compressibility and the lack of damping ability of the actuator bring the dynamic delay of the pressure response and cause the oscillatory motion. Then it is not easy to realize the performance of transient response of pneumatic artificial muscle manipulator (PAM manipulator) due to the changes in the external inertia load with high speed. In order to realize satisfactory control performance, a variable damper-Magneto­Rheological Brake (MRB), is equipped to the joint of the manipulator. Superb mixture of conventional PID controller and a phase plane switching control method brings us a novel controller. This proposed controller is appropriate for a kind of plants with nonlinearity, uncertainties and disturbances. The experiments were carried out in practical PAM manipulator and the effectiveness of the proposed control algorithm was demonstrated through experiments, which had proved that the stability of the manipulator can be improved greatly in a high gain control by using MRB with phase plane switching control method and without regard for the changes of external inertia loads.

안도다다오 건축에 표현된 일본전통 차경기법에 관한 연구 -그의 '추상과 구상의 중합'에 의한 개념을 중심으로- (A Study on the Japanese Traditional Borrowed Landscape in Architecture of Ando Tadao -Focusing on his concept by 'polymerization of abstraction and representation'-)

  • Borrowed landscape is an Oriental gardening method to draw inside external natural landscape, and borrowed landscape of Japan has a different characteristic from that of Korea or China nature is manipulated and re-interpreted by human will in the course of applying it to architectural space. In other words, not the original scenery, but manipulated one appears which is cut, reduced, or deleted by architectural elements such as wall, window, or fence. Therefore, this study examined how architectural structure of Ando Tadao symbolizing modernist architecture understood and adopted Japanese traditional views on nature, that is, borrowed landscape. To this end, on the basis of the understanding on 'polymerization of abstraction and form' he mentioned, his geometric architectural principles are discussed, since this serves to be an important beginning of architectural concretization by the concept of 'form' experienced and perceived by human being through geometric means called architecture 'abstraction.' The findings of this study are as follows: first, it was found that Ando Tadao generates borrowed landscape effects by polymerizing and manipulating his simple and geometric structures with each other and thereby editing natural scenery, while Japanese traditional borrowed landscape introduces source scenery inside, through condensation and symbolization. Second, the results of this study revealed that his architecture functions to transcend external and internal realm of a space, which is also observed in Japanese traditional architectural borrowed landscape. Therefore, this study is considered significant in the sense that it proved that Ando Tadao's architectural language is based on borrowed landscape as a specific Japanese traditional element, going beyond the scope of previous studies focusing simply on the introduction of natural elements.

한강수계 굴포천과 안양천에서 안정동위원소와 수질 특성을 이용한 입자성 물질의 기원 추적 (Source Tracking of Particular Matters using Stable Isotope Analysis and Water Quality Characteristics in Gulpo and Anyang Stream, Han-River)

  • This study aims to identify the characteristics of organic matter and pollutant sources using water quality and stable isotope ratios (δ15N, δ13C) of the two inflow tributaries (Gulpo (GP) and Anyang (AY) streams). Water samples were analyzed in June and September 2018, and the results showed that the concentrations of nutrients, such as TN and NO3-N, were increased at GP4, which is located at the downstream of sewage treatment facilities(STFs). TOC and TN ratios showed a strong positive correlation (R2 = 0.77, p<0.01) at all points except for GP4. The results of GP's stable isotope ratio analysis do not appear to be a constant cluster compared to AY because GPs with large amounts of pollutants from the industry (metal processing companies, etc.) have less tributary, shorter waterway and significantly different external sources. This could be attributed to different sources of external inflow despite its smaller number of tributaries and shorter waterways than AY. In the first half of the year, the δ155N of GP4 was affected by discharge of STFs, while AY3 seemed to have an influence of tributary than the discharge of STFs. Consequently, using water quality, stable isotope ratio and C/N, the sources of contamination in two streams with different contaminants were identified and origin was estimated.

Intelligent Phase Plane Switching Control of Pneumatic Artificial Muscle Manipulators with Magneto-Rheological Brake

  • Industrial robots are powerful, extremely accurate multi-jointed systems, but they are heavy and highly rigid because of their mechanical structure and motorization. Therefore, sharing the robot working space with its environment is problematic. A novel pneumatic artificial muscle actuator (PAM actuator) has been regarded during the recent decades as an interesting alternative to hydraulic and electric actuators. Its main advantages are high strength and high power/weight ratio, low cost, compactness, ease of maintenance, cleanliness, readily available and cheap power source, inherent safety and mobility assistance to humans performing tasks. The PAM is undoubtedly the most promising artificial muscle for the actuation of new types of industrial robots such as Rubber Actuator and PAM manipulators. However, some limitations still exist, such as the air compressibility and the lack of damping ability of the actuator bring the dynamic delay of the pressure response and cause the oscillatory motion. In addition, the nonlinearities in the PAM manipulator still limit the controllability. Therefore, it is not easy to realize motion with high accuracy and high speed and with respect to various external inertia loads in order to realize a human-friendly therapy robot To overcome these problems a novel controller, which harmonizes a phase plane switching control method with conventional PID controller and the adaptabilities of neural network, is newly proposed. In order to realize satisfactory control performance a variable damper - Magneto-Rheological Brake (MRB) is equipped to the joint of the manipulator. Superb mixture of conventional PID controller and a phase plane switching control using neural network brings us a novel controller. This proposed controller is appropriate for a kind of plants with nonlinearity uncertainties and disturbances. The experiments were carried out in practical PAM manipulator and the effectiveness of the proposed control algorithm was demonstrated through experiments, which had proved that the stability of the manipulator can be improved greatly in a high gain control by using MRB with phase plane switching control using neural network and without regard for the changes of external inertia loads.

인트라넷 환경에서 RSIP 게이트웨이의 성능분석 (Performance Evaluation of RSIP Gateway in Intranet Environment)

  • NAT(Network Address Translation)은 두 개의 연결된 네트워크에서 서로 다른 IP 주소영역을 사용할 수 있도록 해주는 아주 유용한 주소 변환 기술이다. 그러나 내장된 If주소를 갖지만 단대단 보안을 위해 IP 패킷을 암호화하는 IPsec과 같은 어플리케이션 환경에서는 주소변환에 이용할 수 없을 뿐만 아니라 매번 주소 변환을 수행하기 때문에 전반적인 주소변환처리 성능이 낮아지는 문제점을 가지고 있다. RSIP (Realm Specific Internet Protocol)는 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위한 대안 프로토콜이다. NAT과 RSIP 모두 내부와 외부 주소영역 사이에서 동작하는데 NAT는 내부망과 외부망 사이에 주소변환을 수행하여 외부망과의 통신에 사용하지만 RSIP는 라우팅 가능한 공인주소를 미리 할당하여 사용한다. 본 논문에서는 인트라넷 환경에서 사용될 수 있는 RSIP 게이트웨이를 설계 및 구현한 후 성능을 분석하였다. 성능분석결과 RSIP가 서버부하 및 네트워크 트래픽에 덜 민감하게 동작할 뿐만 아니라 고용량의 데이터 전송일수록 NAT보다 성능이 우수함을 확인하였다.
