The theory of representation, which has been an important topic of epistemology, has long history of study. But it has diverse meaning according to the fields of argument. In this paper the author set the meaning of mathematical representation as the interrelation of internal and external representations. With this concept, the following items were studied. 1. Survey on the concepts of mathematical representations. 2. Investigation of pedagogical significance of the mathematical representations, taking into account the characteristics of school mathematics. 3. Recommendation of principles for teaching representation to cope with the problems that are related with cause of disliking each domain of the secondary school mathematics. This study is expected to enable the development of teaching methods to help students strengthening their ability to comprehend mathematical sentences.

이 연구에서는 물질의 입자적 성질이 강조되는 화학 개념 학습에서 학생들에게 제공되는 다양한 외적 표상들 간의 연계와 통합을 촉진시키는 방법으로서의 그리기와 쓰기의 효과에 대해 알아보았다. 남녀공학 중학교 1학년 224명을 통제 집단, 그리기 집단, 쓰기 집단으로 배치한 후,'보일의 법칙'과 '샤를의 법칙'에 대하여 2차시 동안 수업을 하였다. 세 집단 모두 거시적인 현상을 실험을 통해 관찰하게 한 후, 통제 집단 에서는 시각적 정보와 언어적 정보를 동시에 제공하여 학습하게 하였고, 그리기 집단에서는 제공된 언어적 정보에 대한 정신 모형을 그림으로 그리게 한 후, 이를 시각적 정보와 비교하게 하였으며, 쓰기 집단에서는 시각적 정보에 대한 정신 모형을 글로 쓰게 한 후, 이를 언어적 정보와 비교하게 하였다. 이원 공변량 분석 결과, 쓰기 집단의 개념 이해도 점수가 통제 집단보다 유의미하게 높았으며, 그리기 집단은 통제 집단보다 통계적으로 높은 경향성을 보였다. 개념 이해도 점수에서 수업 처치와 공간 시각화 능력 사이의 상호 작용 효과는 없었다. 학생들의 수업 인식 검사 결과에서는 대부분의 학생들이 쓰기와 그리기 활동을 통해 개념 이해가 잘 되었다고 응답하였으며, 일부 학생들은 쓰기와 그리기가 재미있었다고 응답하기도 하였다. 이에 대한 교육학적 함의를 논의하였다.

활성 윤곽선은 내부 에너지와 외부에너지에 의해 조절되는 형태 변형이 가능한 에너지 최소화 곡선이다. 내부 에너지는 곡선을 부드럽게 유지하기 위한 제약 조건이고, 외부 지는 곡선을 영상 특징 쪽으로 이끈다. 활성 윤곽선이 제어 점에 의한 B-스플라인 표현은 많은 장점을 갖는다. Mentet[3] 등은 유한 차분 법에 의한 활성 윤곽선이 B-스플라인 표현을 제안하였다. 본 논문에서는 활성 윤곽선을 구간별 3차 B-스플라인으로 표현하고, 이 모델의 에너지를 최소로 하는 제어 점을 찾기 위한 방법으로 동적 프로그래밍을 사용한 방법을 제안한다. 제안된 방법은 유한 차분 법에 의한 B-스플라인 방법에 비해 간단하고 효과적이다.

The residence plan of Korea has been formed with bias for quantitative growth and uniformity failing at obtaining human value. Also, rapid growth brought about severe problems of deteriorated human life and destruction of environment. The solution for these problems is pursued in many directions, but there is short of active plan yet. The residence shall develop into new direction to satisfy the demand by reflecting society and culture as well as residents. This study examines external design with symbolic representation of regional feature as an alternative for uniform residence environment problem. This study will be a basic data upon suggesting the direction for planning high quality residence environment. This study examined the elements which form external space of residence complex, designed plan for external space of residence complex, and examined how to reflect regional feature which is important element of local community and culture on the space plan for residence complex based on the evaluation by local residents centered on Gimcheon-si, Gyeongbuk which just started local specialty by fostering. 'Special Area for Grape Industry.'

Since Homeros in Greece, Mimesis was thought to be an art to imitate the nature, and it means an imitation of the nature classically. Mimetic theories were set to be a kind of art work in the era of Renaissance, and the terminology of mimesis was widely used to replace it with an originality in the 15th century. The purpose of this study is to understand the aesthetics of mimesis expressed in media costume design. For this purpose, I investigated the theories of the mimesis, categorized the definition, then applied those categories for media costume design. Documentary studies were conducted through aesthetics, fashion books and demonstrative studies were processed by analyzing photos from collection fashion magazines and media DVD, video, fashion site of internet. In the history of aesthetics, the mimesis could be defined into three categories; the external representation mimesis, the internal symbol mimesis and the multiful meta mimesis. In media costume, the representation mimesis included design historical point of view, a period that of 1900s and ancient representation mimesis. The internal mimesis included symbol of religion, character, riches, psychology and fear mimesis. The multiful meta mimesis included hybrid and distortion mimesis. Analysis on the mimesis expressed in media costume design fashion may provide an excellent method for understanding human aesthetic in costume.

이 연구에서는 2015 개정 교육과정 7학년 과학의 물질 영역인 '기체의 성질'과 '물질의 상태 변화' 단원에 제시된 외적 표상을 분석하여 표상을 활용한 과학교육을 위한 시사점을 도출하고자 하였다. 표상의 유형, 표면적 특성의 해석, 본문과의 관련성, 캡션의 존재와 특성, 복합적 표상에서 표상 간 관련성, 표상의 기능의 여섯 가지 범주로 구성된 분석틀을 이용하여 다섯 종의 교과서에 나타난 표상의 특성을 분석하였다. 또한, '기체의 성질'과 '물질의 상태 변화' 단원의 성취기준을 설명하는 각 교과서에 제시된 대표적인 표상의 특징을 분석하였다. 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 먼저 표상의 유형에서는 거시적 표상이 가장 높은 빈도로 나타났으며, 표면적 특성의 해석 범주에서는 명시적 특성을 가진 표상의 빈도가 가장 높았다. 본문과의 관련성 범주의 분석 결과, 대부분의 표상이 완전한 연관성과 연결 또는 완전한 연관성과 비연결에 해당하여 표상과 본문 내용은 일관성 있게 연관되어 있는 것으로 나타났다. 캡션의 존재와 특성 범주에서는 적절한 캡션이 존재하는 표상의 빈도가 가장 높았고, 복합적 표상에서 표상 간의 관련성은 충분히 연결된 표상이 대부분이었다. 표상의 기능 범주에서는 완성형이 가장 높은 빈도를 보였으나 탐구 활동에 제시된 표상에서는 미완성형이 높은 빈도를 나타냈다. 성취기준과 관련된 대표적인 표상을 분석한 결과, 표상의 유형, 표상에 제시된 정보및 기호의 사용 등에서 교과서별로 차이를 나타냈다. 연구의 결과로부터 7학년 물질 영역의 표상 활용과 관련된 교육적 시사점을 논의하였다.

What is the semantic function of visual image in Contemporary art? This article proposes that representation is semantically still important in post-modernism as well as in modernism. The semantic function of representation has been changed by keeping pace with times. In modernism the 'outer representation' changed to 'inner representation', and in postmodernism the 'inner representation' changed to 'metaphorical representation'. The 'outer representation' means that image indicates a certain object or subject as the classical realism. In this case, the meaning of image is subordinate to an object, and a one-to-one correspond existed between the image and the object. Because this 'outer representation' is focused on an object but subject's intention, the indicative function of meaning is definite and singular. The 'inner representation' means that image exposes the fundamentals or process of an object. In this case, the meaning of image resolves itself into an absolute fundamental, and one-to-many correspond existed between the image and the object. Because this 'inner representation' is focused on essence and substance but an external form, the indicative function of meaning is inclusive and general. The 'metaphorical representation' means that image critically relates social constraint and condition as metaphor and allegory. In this case, the meaning of image is not subordinate to an object and a subject, and the image and the object indicate interactively. Because this 'metaphorical representation' is focused on interaction between subject, object, and interpreter, the indicative function of meaning is differant and ecological. This article focused on the representation because I believe that continuous thinking of totality can be opened by cognitive mapping, even though we never understand the world totally in the chaotic post modern age.

본 연구에서는 벡터 변환 기법을 이용하여 연령변화에 따른 얼굴변환 기법을 제안 하였다. 제안한 기법은 주관성을 배제하고 일관성과 신뢰성을 높이기 위하여 모핑과 벡터 모델을 적용하였다. 또한, 형태에 따른 질감변화 요인을 정의하고 내부 외부 환경 변화에 대한 형태 변환 요소를 고려하였다. 제안한 방법의 타당성을 확인하기 위하여 실험결과를 정성적인 방법으로 유사성 평가를 수행하였는 바, 14세부터 60세까지의 얼굴 변환 결과가 매우 유사하게 평가 되었다.

Mekuro-Kazoen BLDG. is a complex of office, hotel, and banquet halls, builted in 1991, Tokyo, Japan. This building suggest us various issues about the representation of traditionality in current architecture. We can find the possibility of representation of traditionality in large complex, in past, rarely applicated. Even in Japan, such trial in official building as New Office Building of Tokyo in Sinzuku shows a application only in the elevation plan. In Mekuro-Kazoen BLDG, the applications of traditionality are found not only in external appearance, but also in interior design. And the traditional Japanese gardens in front of building and in atrium enrich the traditionality And the modenity and traditionality in this building are represented simultaneously not deteriorating each other. The issue of representation of traditionality in architecture should be succeed not only in now but also in the future. The method of application need to be studied and improved. The fields of application also should be extended such as large complex buildings and future-oriented buildings.

This paper reviewed the relationship between boundary spanning behaviors and service quality, and the moderating effect of gender. Based on the responses from 204 employees in outdoor-food franchising system, hierarchical regression analysis showed that service delivery has positive relationships with all service quality factors, and external representation and internal influence have partly positive relationship with them. Gender appeared to have partly moderating effect on the relationship between only internal influence and service quality.
