척추운동 분석기의 개발 (Development of spine motion analyzer)

  • External linkage type spine motion analysis was developed for relative trunk motion respect to the pelvis. A special programs for calculation of the relative angular motion and for graphical display were also developed. The developed device assured its accuracy and conveniency after application to 15 normal vol- unteers. Compare to the normal subjects, 18 patients treated with fixations and decompression surgery showed relatively large coupling motion. Optimal trajectory of the trunk motion derived from mathematical model in flexion and extension matched well with measurement for normal subjects.

수도권 산업단지(클러스터)의 광역권 내부 및 외부 연계구조 분석 (An Analysis on the Linkage Structure of Industrial Complexes(Clusters) in the Internal and External Capital Region)

  • 광역경제권 정책에 따라 산업단지 정책도 광역권 단위에서 연계구조를 구축하려는 방향으로 논의가 진행되고 있다. 본 분석의 목적은 수도권 산업단지들을 대상으로 산업단지간 연계구조를 도출하는 것이다. 먼저 수도권 산업단지 입주업체 설문조사를 실시하여 광역권 내의 지역간 연계 현황을 파악하였다. 산업단지의 업종별 종사자수 자료를 이용하여 산업단지간 구조유사척도를 계산하고, 수도권 내부와 외부 산업단지의 유사성을 살펴보았다. 또한 산업단지간 거리, 업종별 비율, 입지계수 등의 지표를 종합적으로 판단하여 산업단지 허브-스포크 연계구조(안)를 도출하였다.

소아마비에서 4절 연쇄 장하지보조기 사례연구 (Case Study of 4-Bar Linkage KAFO in Person With Poliomyelitis)

  • The purpose of this study was to compare the ring lock type knee-ankle-foot orthosis (KAFO) with newly developed 4-bar linkage KAFO on the gait characteristics of persons with poliomyelitis clinically. This 4-bar linkage is the stance control type KAFO which provide the stability during stance phase and knee flexion during swing phase. Two subjects participated in this study voluntarily. We provided the customized 4-bar linkage KAFO then asked the subjects to walk in level surface and stairs under the two different KAFO conditions. The characteristics of gait in the persons with poliomyelitis were evaluated using a 3D motion analysis system and force plate. Additionally 6 minute walk test for physiological cost index were conducted using pulse oximeter to measure the energy consumption. In the results of this study, the differences of 4-bar linkage KAFO compared with ring lock type KAFO are as follows: (1) Walking speed, stride length, and step length on level increased in subjects, (2) The gait symmetry was improved by generated knee flexion and decreased pelvic external rotation on level and stairs walking, (3) Decreased vertical excursion of center of mass and pelvic elevation during swing phase was decreased on level, (4) Knee extension moment, hip flexion moment, hip and knee internal rotation moment of non-braced limb were decreased on level walking, (5) Walking speed in 6-minute walk test was increased and physiological cost index was decreased. These findings indicate that 4-bar linkage KAFO compared with ring lock type KAFO is effective in enhancing pattern, endurance, and energy consumption in level surface and stairs walking.

GIS와 지오웹 플랫폼을 활용한 웹기반 주제도 표현에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Web-Based Representation of Thematic Maps Using GeoWeb Platform)

  • 본 연구는 지오웹 플랫폼에서 지리정보 매쉬업(mashup)에 의한 웹기반 주제도 표현 가능성을 검토하고자 하였다. 웹2.0 시대에 있어서, 구글은 지리정보에 대해 효과적인 매쉬업 기능을 제공하기 때문에 지오웹을 이끌고 있다. 지리정보 매쉬업은 인터넷에서 다양한 자료를 조합하여 새로운 지리공간을 창조할 수 있기 때문에 지도 활용에 새로운 지평을 열고 있다. 지리정보 매쉬업은 자료 이용방법에 따라, 플랫폼에서 자체 자료(위성영상)와 외부자료의 연계, 플랫폼 자체자료와 사용자 참여형 콘텐츠연계 방식으로 나누어 진다. 본 연구는 플랫폼 자료와 외부자료 연계방식에 의한 구글 위성영상 기반 heat map, 도형표현도, 단계구분도를 제작하였다. 연구결과, 구글매쉬업 주제도는 위상영상과 중첩되어 표현되기 때문에 지도 해석에 대한 유연성을 제공할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

Networks and Innovative Performance of the Korean Manufacturing Firms

  • This paper estimates the effect of networks on innovative performance at the firm level , using Korean Innovation Survey (KIS) dataset Product innovation, product improvement , and process innovation are used as proxies for innovative activity. The explanatory variables such as firm size, market concentration ratio, lagged profitability, foreign ownership, export ratio, firm's age, formal R&D activity, and industrial R&D intensity are yet other considerations. With two year-long (2000 and 2001) data from 1,124 Korean manufacturing firms, we estimated the logistic regression model. The research finding indicates that the external networks have a strong positive effect on innovative output regardless of type of innovation. However, the network effects by partner (other firms or research institutions) vary across the type of innovation. Especially, we found that the user-supplier linkage plays an important role in product ion innovation, product improvement, and process innovation.

근력 지원용 외골격 로봇을 위한 수동형 무릎 관절 메커니즘 개발 (Development of a Passive Knee Mechanism for Lower Extremity Exoskeleton Robot)

  • In this paper, four-bar linkage mechanism for the knee joint is developed which is used in prosthetics. But unlike the prosthetics, the feature of this mechanism is that the instantaneous center of rotation of the four-bar linkages can be moved behind the ground reaction force vector so that it can be passively supported without any external power. In addition, this mechanism is developed similar to the structure of the human knee joint for eliminating the sense of heterogeneity of the wearer. In order to design the mechanism with these two objectives, optimization design process is done using the PIAnO tool and detailed design is carried out through optimized variable values. The developed mechanism is attached to the robot which can assist the hip and ankle joints. In order to verify the operation of the developed knee mechanism, an insole type sensor was attached to the shoes to compare data values before and after wearing the robot. Result data showed that wearer wearing the exoskeleton robot with the knee mechanism was the same value regardless of whether the heavy tool is loaded or not.

위치 지식의 개념화를 위한 사례 연구 (Case Study forthe Conceptualization of Location Knowledge)

  • This study investigated the cases of relative location, especially focused on the geomorphological situation, for the conceptualization of the location knowledge. In order to perform this study, first of all, I approached meaning of location. In this study I used the terms 'site' and 'situation'. 'Site' as used here means the location of a given place with its local internal features or resources. 'Situation' refers to the location of place as related to other places. As to location, no place exists in isolation. Therefore, it is necessary to look beyond the internal nature of the area itself to perceive its external relations with other areas. The examples of geomorphological situation were focused on the scale linkage of the examples, the interaction between elements of earth surface processes, and the method of comparative region. The regions of examples were the landscape of Mt. Hymalaya to Bengal deep sea fan, the climatical difference of continental east and west, the landscape of Mt. Geum & Sangju beach, the landscape of the south and north face of Mt. Mai., Hamjibaakgol asymmetrical valley, and the landscape of inland sea and outer sea type island.

  • External linkage type spine motion analyzer was developed for measuring relative trunk motion respect to the pelvis. A special program for calculation of the relative angular motion and graphical display were also developed. The developed device assured its accuracy and conveniency after application to 15 normal volunteers and 18 patients after fixation and decompression surgery. Compare to the normal subjects, patients shows different angular motion especially in the angular acceleration.

Mechanisms of Weight Control by Primary Cilia

  • A primary cilium, a hair-like protrusion of the plasma membrane, is a pivotal organelle for sensing external environmental signals and transducing intracellular signaling. An interesting linkage between cilia and obesity has been revealed by studies of the human genetic ciliopathies Bardet-Biedl syndrome and Alström syndrome, in which obesity is a principal manifestation. Mouse models of cell type-specific cilia dysgenesis have subsequently demonstrated that ciliary defects restricted to specific hypothalamic neurons are sufficient to induce obesity and hyperphagia. A potential mechanism underlying hypothalamic neuron cilia-related obesity is impaired ciliary localization of G protein-coupled receptors involved in the regulation of appetite and energy metabolism. A well-studied example of this is melanocortin 4 receptor (MC4R), mutations in which are the most common cause of human monogenic obesity. In the paraventricular hypothalamus neurons, a blockade of ciliary trafficking of MC4R as well as its downstream ciliary signaling leads to hyperphagia and weight gain. Another potential mechanism is reduced leptin signaling in hypothalamic neurons with defective cilia. Leptin receptors traffic to the periciliary area upon leptin stimulation. Moreover, defects in cilia formation hamper leptin signaling and actions in both developing and differentiated hypothalamic neurons. The list of obesity-linked ciliary proteins is expending and this supports a tight association between cilia and obesity. This article provides a brief review on the mechanism of how ciliary defects in hypothalamic neurons facilitate obesity.

Cybertrap : 가상 허니넷 기반 신종공격 탐지시스템 (Cybertrap : Unknown Attack Detection System based on Virtual Honeynet)

  • 최근 정보통신 기술의 발전으로 국가 주요 핵심 기반시설(Critical National Infrastructure)의 제어시스템에 대한 개방형 프로토콜 적용 및 외부 시스템과의 연계 등이 점차 증가되고 있다. 이러한 추세는 국가 핵심 기반시설이 사이버 침해 및 공격에 따른 위협에 노출됨은 물론 사이버 테러 및 해킹, 바이러스 등에 의해 원격 조작 및 통제되는 경우 심각한 위험에 빠질 수 있음을 의미한다. 본 논문에서는 최근 IT분야의 화두로 떠오르고 있는 가상화(Virtualization)기술을 적용하여 기존 허니넷 시스템의 장점을 유지하면서 허니넷 시스템의 자원문제, 구축 및 운영관리 문제를 줄일 수 있는 가상 허니넷 모델을 제시하였다. 또한 공격의도 확인기반의 데이터 분석 및 수집기법, 포커스 지향(Focus-Oriented) 분석기법을 제시하여 운영비용을 최소화할 수 있는 가상 허니넷 모델을 제안하였다. 제안된 모델을 기반으로 서비스 공격의도 확인 기반의 호스트 및 데이터 수집 기법, 네트워크 공격패턴 시각화 기법 등을 적용한 가상 허니넷 기반의 신종공격 탐지시스템인 Cybertrap을 설계하고 구현하였다. 또한, 제안된 시스템의 시험을 위한 테스트베드를 구축하였고, 일련의 실험을 통해 시스템의 기능 및 성능을 평가하였다.
