  • This study examines the social discourse on the characteristics of the learning community in the untact era, and discusses the directions that learning communities for children could explore and consider in the pandemic situation and beyond. For this purpose, big data for one year, from January 20, 2020 to January 20, 2021, were collected through internet portal sites (includingincluding Google News, Daum, Naver and other News surfaces), using two keywords "untact" and "learning community", and analyzed by employing a word frequency and network analysis method. The analysis results show that several important terms, such as 'village education community', 'operation', 'activity', 'corona 19', 'support', and 'online' are closely related to the learning community in the untact era. The findings from this study also have implications for developing the learning community as an alternative model to fill the existing gaps in public care and education for children during the prolonged pandemic and afterwards. In conclusion, the study findings highlight that it is meaningful to identify key terms and concepts through word frequency analysis in order to examine social trends and issues related to the learning community.

  • In this study, 'Instruments of the achievement attribution in mathematical learning' was develop to investigate the reasons of mathematical learning achievement by reflecting Korean middle school and high school students' psychological characters and learning context in mathematical learning. To develop the appropriate items for the achievement attribution in mathematical learning, after reviewing attribution literature thoroughly, first version of the instrument was developed and Exploratory Factor Analysis and Confirmatory Factor Analysis were conducted. Then, to reduce the effect of the gender difference and achievement level difference, Differential Item Functioning was performed. Also, using Multiple group Confirmatory Factor Analysis, this instrument was investigated to see whether this can be used for both middle school and high school. The final items for success attribution are 3 items for luck, 3 items for effort, 2 items for ability. The failure attribution were composed of 3 items for luck, 3 items for effort, 2 items for ability, and 2 items for other. The instrument was developed by using large samples and psychometric analysis. Therefore, mathematic teachers can use this instrument efficiently to make a foundation for better learning environment so students' cognitive area and affective area can be harmonized.

  • Although conceptual and empirical researches on the technological learning is increasing rapidly, a few empirical researches of technological learning processes have been undertaken, taking into account a reality of learning processes of a firm. In order to analyze the learning processes of technological knowledges, based on integrative organizational learning theory, this study investigated technological learning processes by analyzing 13 technology development projects of one company with case study research design. Results of the empirical analyses suggested two taxonomy of technological learning processes. First are tour group of technological learning processes derived by the dimension of flow of cognitive and behavioral learning which is explained by the technological competency level of a firm. The other is two group of technological learning processes derived by the dimension of relative difficulty of cognitive and behavioral learning which is explained by the technology characteristics. Finally, the managerial implications for effective management of technological learning and limitations are discussed.

  • Despite the potential implications of Facebook use, there is a distinct lack of empirically derived theory for designing learning environment. This may be because Facebook is a social tool and there has been limited opportunity for exploratory research regarding Facebook based learning. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to investigate learning presence factors affecting learning outcomes in Facebook-based collaborative learning. Forty two college students participated in the Facebook-based collaborative learning activity, and the data from thirty nine were used for step-wise multiple regression analysis. In addition focus group interview was conducted to examine learning presence of Facebook-based collaborative learning. The results reported that cognitive presence predicted significantly learning outcomes, however, social and emotional presence did not predict learning outcomes. The implication of this study and future research were discussed in this research.

  • Categorization systems of homepages in search engines are likely to be constructed considering system's efficiency only but not user-centered. This study I investigated user's mental model of superordinate and subordinate categories using category terms of major Korean search engines. From this result, we constructed two kinds of categorization system; redundant system and singular system. In the redundant system, for example, a subordinate category can belong to a number of superordinate categories, but in the singular system to only one superordinate category Three prototype categorization systems, with 'Simmani', were designed and search performances of each system were observed repetitively Overall results, with frequency of correct a answers, number of steps and time taken in solution taken into account, showed the redundant system was superior to the other two systems. This indicates that categorization search could be improved with appropriate categorizaton system. However. l in recognition test score in singular system was the best, which indicates that search performance and recognition memory of categorization reveal different aspects of categorization system learning. Issues of category organization. ways of interface, prior knowledge, exploratory learning, and application areas are discussed further.

  • This study aims to validate a tool evaluating MOOCs for higher education from the perspective of education service. Based on the results of related researches, a potential model for evaluating MOOCs (4 factors and 8 sub-factors) was made. An evaluation tool consisting of 18 survey items was delivered to 138 college students. After data cleaning, 136 surveys were used for exploratory factor analysis (principal component analysis. varimax rotation) and reliability analysis that confirmed the fitness of the potential model. Four exploratory constructs and seven sub-factors were extracted: Factor I was labeled as 'Systemic Learning Experience,' Factor II, 'Value Experience,' Factor III, 'Co-creation of Value Experience,' and Factor IV, 'High Order Learning Experience.' Reliability estimates using Cronbach's alpha indicated that the evaluation tool had good internal consistency. In conclusion, the evaluation tool for MOOCs in higher education was proven to be valid and reliable.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the factors affecting e-learning usage intention of university students who have no prior e-learning experience. To address this issue, the study was carried out in two stages on university students at Y and K universities of Gyeongbuk province. After conducting the first survey, we constructed the measurement items and conducted the second survey on the factors that influence the learner's intention to use as the basic theory based on the results of the survey and the interviews with the experts. The result shows, first, due to the autonomy, the biggest advantage for e-learning, students' self-control decreases which affects e-learning fault. Second, university students use e-learning because of its convenience, ease of use and usefulness. However, convenience of learning space found to be useful in using e-learning, but it does not affect their actual intention to use e-learning. The result of this study can be used as basic data for the implementation of e-learning within the university and enhancing the individuals' learning effectiveness.
