This paper deals with an offline routing problem, which can be used as an explicit routing procedure in MPLS(Multiprotocol Label Switching) network, for traffic engineering. This problem is formulated as an MIP(Mixed Integer Programming) with the objective function which is to minimize the sum of the maximum link utilization for load balancing (link utilization) and the routing cost. Constraints arc composed of link capacity restriction and demand requirement that has origin-destination pair, bandwidth requirement and hop restriction. The problem is proved to be NP-hard so that the Lagrangean relaxation method is applied to propose a Lagrangean heuristic. To test the effectiveness & efficiency of the proposed algorithm, computational experiments are performed with numerical instances. The experiment results show that the proposed algorithm solves the problem within a reasonable time.

We have designed and investigated a new congestion control scheme, called optimal and fully explicit (OFEX) controller. Different from existing relatively explicit controllers, this new scheme can provide not only optimal bandwidth allocation but also a fully explicit congestion signal to sources. It uses the congestion signal from the most congested link instead of the cumulative signal from the flow path. In this way, it overcomes the drawback of relatively explicit controllers exhibiting bias toward multi-bottlenecked users and significantly improves their convergence speed and source throughput performance. Furthermore, our OFEX-controller design considers a dynamic model by proposing a remedial measure against the unpredictable bandwidth changes in contention-based multi-access networks. Compared with former works/controllers, this remedy also effectively reduces the instantaneous queue size in a router and thus significantly improves queuing delay and packet loss performance. We have evaluated the effectiveness of the OFEX controller in OPNET. The experimental comparison with the existing relatively explicit controllers verifies the superiority of our new scheme.

본 논문에서는 기존의 폭주 회피형 명시율 트래픽 (Explicit Rate feedback) 스위치 알고리즘의 단점을 개선하여 버퍼의 수위와 변화율에 따라 동적으로 목표 이용률을 조장하여 링크 이용 효율을 향상시킨 효율적인 명시율 피드백 스위치 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 그리고, 시뮬레이션을 통하여 기존의 대표적인 명시율 피드백 스위치 알고리즘인 ERICA 스위치와 NIST 스위치의 성능을 분석하고, 제안된 명시율 피드백 스위치 알고리즘과 비교하였다. 시뮬레이션 결과 제안된 ER 피드백 스위치는 동적인 목표 이용률의 조정을 통하여 가용 대역폭의 변화에 빠른 전송률의 변화를 보였으며, 스위치의 최대 큐 길이를 줄여 버퍼 범람을 방지하면서도 매우 높은 링크 이용 효율을 보여 성능이 개선됨을 알 수 있었다.

We consider the constraint based explicit routing problem in MPLS based IP Network. In this problem, we are given a set of traffic demands and a network with different link capacities. The problem is to assign the demand commodities to the paths in the network while minimizing the maximum link load ratio. We formulate this problem as an integer programming problem and propose an efficient column generation technique. To strengthen the formulation, we consider some valid inequalities. We also incorporate the column generation technique with variable fixing scheme Computational results show that the algorithm gives high quality solutions in a short execution time.

Explicit formulas are given for the first and second Zagreb index, degree-distance and Wiener-type invariants of splice and link of graphs. As a consequence, the first and second Zagreb coindex of these classes of composite graphs are also computed.

This paper covers finite element simulations to evaluate the terminal crimping process of automobile electrical connector. Crimping is a classical technology process to ensure the electrical and the mechanical link between a wire and a terminal. Numerical modeling of the process is helpful to choose and to optimize the dimensions of the crimping part of the connector. In this paper, we discuss a 2D simulation of the crimping process, using explicit finite element methods (ABAQUS/Explicit) and we compare the results with experimental data from the industrial process of crimping (crimping height, crimping width and compressibility). The explicit method is preferred for the modeling of multi-contact problems, in spite of the quasi-static process of crimping. As compared with CAE analysis, a performance improvement makes certain of the truth of the matter.

본 논문에서는 EPRCA(Enhanced Proportional Rate Control Algorithm) 스위치 방식과 EMRCA(Explicit Max_min Rate Control Algorithm) 스위치 방식의 성능을 평가하기 위하여 시뮬레이션을 수행하였다. 시뮬레이션의 평가 기준으로 과도상태와 정상상태에서 각 송신원에서의 전송률(ACR)의 변화, 큐 길이, 링크 대역폭 이용률과 전송률의 공평성 여부를 사용하였다. 실험 결과 EMRCA 스위치 방식은 EPRCA 스위치 방식보다 더 안정적이며 스위치의 버퍼 크기도 줄였으며 더 높은 링크 이용률을 보였다. 이 방식은 스위치에서 MACR(Mean Allowed Cell Rate)의 계산을 위한 부동소수점 연산을 제거하여 EPRCA 스위치 방식이나 기존의 다른 폭주 제어 방식들보다 훨씬 낮은 하드웨어 복잡도를 갖는다.

현재 사용중인 경로 선택 방법은 최단 경로 알고리즘을 이용하므로 망 자원을 효율적으로 이용하지 못하며 특정 경로로 트래픽이 집중될 경우 혼잡(congestion) 상황을 발생시킬 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 새롭게 요청되는 연결 설정 요구에 대해 요청된 대역폭을 충족시킬 수 있는 경로를 결정하는데 있어서 통계적 기법을 이용함으로써 망을 효율적으로 사용하며, 혼잡 상황을 줄일 수 있는 통계적 경로 선택(Statistical Route Selection; SRS) 알고리즘을 제안한다. MPLS의 등장으로 부하 균등화(load balancing)에 필요한 명시적인(explicit) LSP 설정을 할 수 있게 되었으며, MPLS의 LSP를 설정하기 위해 SRS 알고리즘을 이용할 수 있다. SRS 알고리즘은 경로 선택을 위해 링크들의 이용률을 구하고, 통계적인 기법을 사용하여 가중치를 결정하며, 그 가중치를 이용한 최단 경로를 구한다. 여기서 사용되는 통계적 기법은 링크들의 이용률의 평균과 분산을 이용하는 것으로, 이정보를 기반으로 링크의 가중치에 대해 분산을 작게 하는 방향으로 경로를 결정함으로써 부하 균등화 효과를 얻게 되어 혼잡 링크 수를 줄이고, 망 자원 이용률을 높인다. 실험을 통해 다른 경로 선택 알고리즘들에 비해 SRS 알고리즘이 망 자원을 효율적으로 이용하여 연결 설정 실패의 수와 혼잡 링크의 수를 줄이는 것을 보인다.

This paper deals with the modeling and experiment of a robot system for force/impact control performance. The basic model is composed of a direct drive motor, servo amplifier, link, force sensor and environments. Based on the developed model, the stability of the whole system was analyzed via root locus method. For the force control, integral force compensation with velocity feedback method shows the best performance of all the explicit force control strategies. In dealing with impact, PID position control and the explicit force control method were implemented. Instead of add more damping to the robot system by velocity feedback, we developed a new passive damping method and it was also applied to enhance the damping characteristic of the system.

This paper considers the problems of martingale measures and risk-minimizing hedging strategies in the market with restricted information. By constructing a general restricted information market model, the explicit relation of arbitrage and the minimal martingale measure between two different information markets are discussed. Also a link among all equivalent martingale measures under restricted information market is given. As an example of restricted information markets, this paper constitutes a jump-diffusion process model and presents a risk minimizing problem under different information. Through $It\hat{o}$ formula and projection results in Schweizer[13], the explicit optimal strategy for different market information are given.
