A Study on the P.S.M. system for the Construction Safety (건설안전을 위한 P.S.M. 기법에 관한 연구)

  • In order to introduce P.S.M. system adequate to domestic construction first, many cases similar to advanced foreign P.S.M. system have been collected and compared to the domestic situation. Then, the current safety management status of bridges, subways, apartment and office building construction are investigated while visiting interview, using questionnaire at site have being done. The potential hazard and measurement have been investigated for each kind of works, and the domestic introducing method of P.S.M. system is analyzed with expert discussion. In order to represent how to make out P.S.M. plan, the questionnaire is made out using each five place for bridge, subways, apartment and office building. As the weight factor for potential hazard of each work obtained from more than forty site places, is produced and shown. Also, a direction the recommendation is suggested to improve tool in each construction site with work schedule. It is thought that proposed schedule contributed to keeping in safe business administration of each company in decreasing many effort at the construction site.

Effect of a Mentoring Program as a Strategy for Retention of Clinical Nurses (임상간호사 유지 전략으로서 멘토링 프로그램의 효과)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of a mentoring program as a strategy for the retention of clinical nurses. Method: Research subjects were 20 mentors, 20 mentees and 22 clinical nurses for a control group of mentees. A mentoring program was developed by an expert committee and applied to the experimental group for six months. Data were collected at three and six months after the application of the program from September, 2008 to March, 2009. Data were analyzed using $x^$-test, t-test, Repeated Measures ANOVA, One-way ANOVA in SPSS/Win 15.0 Program. Results: Job satisfaction, organizational commitment, empowerment, and carrier commitment in the mentees of the experimental group were significantly higher than the nurses of the control group. Intention of resignation in mentees of the experimental group were significantly lower than the nurses of the control group. Also, there were significant interaction between the groups and the times of measurements in all variables. Conclusion: The mentoring program showed positive impact on the variables for maintenance of clinical nurses. Recommendation: Based on these findings, retention strategies using mentoring programs were recommended to reduce clinical nurses' resignation and improve the competency of clinical nurses that leads to the productivity of nursing organizations.

  • In proportion to continuing growth of overseas plant market and the trend of its mega scale of the project, the importance of management is significantly emphasized for the successful execution of the project. And it is recognized that progress control is the most important management item amongst the others in the management. Progress control is importance of progress measurement for performance measurement and process control of project, but it is hardly obtainable securing the objectivity in the progress measurement since the progress measurement are being applied differently in accordance with the project conditions and the experience level of the person in charge for the progress control. This study has conducted as following to propose a standard method for progress measurement in a petrochemical plant protect. Domestic and overseas plant projects are investigated variously with the applied method of progress measurement, and the deduced problem of progress measurement. And then standard method for progress measurement of engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning has been proposed according to comparison and analysis of practices in domestic & overseas plant project, procedures for progress control in the globally reputed petrochemical client, company rules and recommendation of the expert in progress control.

  • 최근 다양한 직업을 가진 SNS 사용자가 증가함에 따라, SNS 사용자들은 전문가 간 협업 및 기술적 의사소통을 위한 전문가 추천 기능을 요구하고 있다. 하지만 기존 협업적 여과 기법은 전문가 추천 서비스를 효율적으로 제공하지 못한다. Content-boosted 협업적 여과 기법은 다양한 예측 알고리즘을 제시하여, 효과적인 추천을 수행할 수 있도록 지원한다. 그러나 명확한 계산 조건이 제시되지 못하는 경우 아이템 및 사용자 유사도 계산을 수행할 수 없는 단점이 존재한다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 Content-boosted 협업적 여과 기법의 단점을 해결하는 하이브리드 협업적 여과기법을 이용한 새로운 전문가 추천기법을 제안한다. 또한, 이를 이용하여 SNS에서의 전문가 추천 시스템을 설계한다.

Quality evaluation of pregnancy-related mobile applications in South Korea: a descriptive study

  • Purpose: This study aimed to describe the characteristics of mobile applications (apps) related to pregnancy in South Korea and evaluate their quality. Methods: We conducted a systematic search for pregnancy-related apps available in Korea in two app stores as of April 29, 2022. The quality of apps was assessed using the Korean translation of the Mobile Application Rating Scale for objective quality with four subdomains (engagement, function, aesthetics, and information) and four items for subjective quality. Results: In total, 163 apps were selected and reviewed. Both the objective and subjective quality of the apps were found to be desirable, with scores exceeding 3 out of 5 (range, 34-82). All subdomain scores in the objective quality assessment were also desirable. Among the four objective quality subdomains, aesthetics received the highest scores, followed by information, function, and engagement. In terms of subjective quality, the scores for a comprehensive overall evaluation, continuous use, and recommendation exceeded 3 out of 5, with the exception of payment. Only a small number of apps (n=4, 2.9%) were backed by a reliable authority, such as an expert review. Significant differences were observed in the objective quality of apps across different content categories (F=3.86, p=.003). Conclusion: Most pregnancy-related apps had desirable levels of objective and subjective quality. However, app content experts seldom provide reviews. It is crucial for nurses to recommend apps to expectant mothers that offer dependable content, regularly updated with the latest information.

Needs for Development of IT-based Nutritional Management Program for Women with Gestational Diabetes Mellitus (IT-기반의 임신성 당뇨병 영양관리 프로그램 개발을 위한 요구도 조사)

  • Objectives: The aim of this study was to examine self-management status, nutritional knowledge, barrier factors in dietary management and needs of nutritional management program for women with Gestational Diabetes Mellitus (GDM). Methods: A total of 100 women with GDM were recruited from secondary and tertiary hospitals in Seoul. The questionnaire composed of general characteristics, status of self-management, dietary habits, nutrition knowledge, barrier factors in dietary management, needs for nutrition information contents and nutritional management programs. Data were collected by a self-administered questionnaire. All data were statistically analyzed using student's t-test and chi-square test using SAS 9.3. Results: About 35% of the subjects reported that they practiced medical nutrition and exercise therapy for GDM control. The main sources of nutrition information were 'internet (50.0%)' and 'expert advice (45.0%)'. More than 70% of the subjects experienced nutrition education. The mean score of nutrition knowledge was 7.5 point out of 10, and only about half of the subjects were reported to be correctly aware of some questions such as 'the cause of ketosis', 'the goal of nutrition management for GDM', 'the importance of sugar restriction on breakfast'. The major obstructive factors in dietary management were 'eating more than planned when dining out', 'finding the appropriate menu when dining out'. The preferred nutrition information contents in developing management program were 'nutritional information of food', 'recommended food by major nutrients', 'the relationship between blood glucose and food', 'tips on menu selection at eating out'. The subjects reported that they need management program such as 'example of menu by calorie prescription', 'recommended weight gain guide', 'meal recording and dietary assessment', 'expert recommendation', 'sharing know-how'. Conclusions: Based on the results of this study, it is necessary to develop a program that provide personalized information by identifying the individual characteristics of the subjects and expert feedback function through various information and nutrition information contents that can be used in real life.

  • Research Purpose : Based on artificial intelligence, this study considers learners' characteristics, learning content, and individual learning, and analyzes the collected learning data to develop a model that supports customized learning for individual learners. Research content and method : In order to achieve the research purpose, the literature was analyzed to investigate the structure of customized learning support, learning data analysis, and learning activities, and based on the investigated data, the area and detailed components of the customized learning support model were derived. did. A draft model was constructed through literature analysis, and the first expert Delphi survey was conducted on the draft model with five experts. The model was revised by reflecting the results of the first Delphi, and the validity of the revised model was verified through the second expert Delphi. The model was elaborated through expert Delphi, and the final model was constructed through this. Conclusion and Recommendation : Through research, customized learning support area, class management system area, and learning analysis data area were formed, and detailed elements were derived for each area. The results of this study provide basic data that can be used as a reference for constructing a customized learning support system based on artificial intelligence, taking into account the university's class environment.

Development of Nutritional Counseling Internet Program for Weight Reduction Using Expert System (전문가 시스템을 이용한 인터넷 체중 감량 상담 프로그램 개발)

  • The purpose of the study was to develop a nutritional counseling program using expert system to assist obese people to lose weight through behavior modification in the internet. The counseling internet program for weight loss was developed by the accumulation of knowledge for dealing with eating habits and exercising behaviors into expert system tool, Knowledge Engineering Agent (KEA) by a dietitian without any help of computer expert. KEA was built based on the theory of Multiple Classification Ripple Down Rules. To accumulate knowledge into KEA, survey was performed in 150 obese people, the dietitian reviewed and consulted each survey case, and the consulted contents were learned and accumulated into KEA. Survey questionnaires were the same as those of the internet consulting program, and they included general characteristics, dietary habits, lifestyle, and exercise patterns related to obesity. KEA was used for nutritional counseling of obese people after KEA had enough knowledge for weight loss based on behavior modification by the dietitian. To accumulate knowledge to KEA, the dietitian selected proper factors inferred from the survey questionnaire of each case, and added the conclusions for them. Conclusions were made for helping clients to correct bad eating behaviors and accumulate good behaviors for losing weight. When clients answered survey questionnaires in a counseling internet program, KEA gave the recommendation how to eat, to exercise and the deal with stress in a real time for each case. If KEA did not have enough knowledge for a specific case, the conclusion window wrote no conclusion and the dietitian needed to add conclusions for the case. The conclusions for the new case added to the KEA knowledge base. In conclusions, a counseling internet program for weight reduction can be used for give advices how to deal with obesity in a man-to-man way in a real time using KEA where nutritional knowledge based on behavior modification for weight loss was accumulated.

Protein Intake Recommendation for Korean Older Adults to Prevent Sarcopenia: Expert Consensus by the Korean Geriatric Society and the Korean Nutrition Society

  • Sarcopenia, a common clinical syndrome in older adults, is defined as decreased muscle mass, strength, and physical performance. Since sarcopenia is associated with the incidence of functional decline, falls, and even mortality in older adults, researchers and health care providers have been keen to accumulate clinical evidence to advocate the screening and prevention of sarcopenia progression in older adults. The factors that may accelerate the loss of muscle mass and function include chronic diseases, inactivity, and deficiency in appropriate nutritional support. Among these, nutritional support is considered an initial step to delay the progression of muscle wasting and improve physical performance in community-dwelling older adults. However, a nationwide study suggested that most Korean older adults do not consume sufficient dietary protein to maintain their muscle mass. Furthermore, considering age-associated anabolic resistance to dietary protein, higher protein intake should be emphasized in older adults than in younger people. To develop a dietary protein recommendation for older adults in Korea, we reviewed the relevant literature, including interventional studies from Korea. From these, we recommend that older adults consume at least 1.2 g of protein per kg of body weight per day (g/kg/day) to delay the progression of muscle wasting. The amount we recommend (1.2 g/kg/day) is 31.4% higher than the previously suggested recommended daily allowance (i.e., 0.91 g/kg/day) for the general population of Korea. Also, evidence to date suggests that the combination of exercise and nutritional support may enhance the beneficial effects of protein intake in older adults in Korea. We found that the current studies are insufficient to build population-based guidelines for older adults, and we call for further researches in Korea.

A Method of Mining Visualization Rules from Open Online Text for Situation Aware Business Chart Recommendation (상황인식형 비즈니스 차트 추천기 개발을 위한 개방형 온라인 텍스트로부터의 시각화 규칙 추출 방법 연구)

  • Selecting business charts based on the nature of the data and the purpose of the visualization is useful in business analysis. However, current visualization tools lack the ability to help choose the right business chart for the context. Also, soliciting expert help about visualization methods for every analysis is inefficient. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to propose an accessible method to improve business chart productivity by creating rules for selecting business charts from online published documents. To this end, Korean, English, and Chinese unstructured data describing business charts were collected from the Internet, and the relationships between the contexts and the business charts were calculated using TF-IDF. We also used a Galois lattice to create rules for business chart selection. In order to evaluate the adequacy of the rules generated by the proposed method, experiments were conducted on experimental and control groups. The results confirmed that meaningful rules were extracted by the proposed method. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first study to recommend customizing business charts through open unstructured data analysis and to propose a method that enables efficient selection of business charts for office workers without expert assistance. This method should be useful for staff training by recommending business charts based on the document that he/she is working on.
