감성체험을 고려한 에이전트 기반 WBI 설계 및 평가 (A Design and Evaluation of WBI based on Agent considering Emotional Experience)

  • 모호성과 비선형성으로 컴퓨터가 감성을 표현하기는 어렵다. 그러나 WBI에서 감성을 표현하는 것은 고품질의 데이터 처리와 상호작용촉진을 위해서 매우 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 심리학적인 관점에서 다른 감성 모델을 조사하고, 감성체험을 고려한 캐릭터 에이전트 기반의 WBI를 제안하였다. 실험결과 제안 모델은 기존의 WBI 보다 사용자의 선호도가 높음을 보여준다.

Human Head Mouse System Based on Facial Gesture Recognition

  • Camera position information from 2D face image is very important for that make the virtual 3D face model synchronize to the real face at view point, and it is also very important for any other uses such as: human computer interface (face mouth), automatic camera control etc. We present an algorithm to detect human face region and mouth, based on special color features of face and mouth in $YC_bC_r$ color space. The algorithm constructs a mouth feature image based on $C_b\;and\;C_r$ values, and use pattern method to detect the mouth position. And then we use the geometrical relationship between mouth position information and face side boundary information to determine the camera position. Experimental results demonstrate the validity of the proposed algorithm and the Correct Determination Rate is accredited for applying it into practice.

배기계 형상 개선을 통한 THC 저감에 관한 연구 (THC Reduction through the Improvement of Exhaust System)

  • Experimental studies were performed to understand the flow characteristics in the exhaust system and improve the THC emission characteristics by optimizing the flow in the exhaust manifold and CCC in a SI engine. For this purpose, the flow characteristics in the exhaust systems with two types of exhaust manifolds(STD and New Type) were measured by using LDV technique under various engine condition. It was found that the flow characteristics in the New Type exhaust manifold was more desirable in a view point of heat loss reduction from the exhaust gases. The vehicle emission tests showed that the THC emission in the New Type exhaust manifold was decreased by 12%.

  • This paper proposes a novel high-frequency resonant DC/DC converter having PWM(Pulse Width Modulation) inverter control function. The operating characteristics of this converter circuit are discussed from a thereotical point of view and compared with experimental results. The results of operating characteristic analysis are given leading to complete designing data.

  • This paper presents a novel prototype of active voltage-clamping capacitor-assisted edge resonant soft switching PWM inverter operating at a constant frequency variable power (VPCF) regulation scheme, which is suitable for consumer high-power induction-heating cooking appliances. New generation IGBT with a trench gate is particularly improved in order to reduce conduction loss due to its lowered saturation voltage characteristics. The soft switching load resonant and quasi-resonant inverter designed distinctively using the latest IGBTs is evaluated from an experimental point of view.

  • Most autonomous mobile robots view things only in front of them. As a result, they may collide against objects moving from the side or behind. To overcome the problem we have built an Active Omni-directional Range Sensor that can obtain omnidirectional depth data by a laser conic plane and a conic mirror. In the navigation of the mobile robot, the proposed sensor system makes a laser conic plane by rotating the laser point source at high speed and achieves two dimensional depth map, in real time, once an image capture. The experimental results show that the proposed sensor system provides the best potential for navigation of the mobile robot in uncertain environment.

  • In this research, we investigated active vibration control based on wave-viewpoint using the longitudinal wave separation method. The control strategy is the one of active vibration control technique for generating vibration reduced zone and uses wave information including the directivity as the cost function. In order to get the wave information from the measured values, we proposed and examined the time-domain longitudinal wave separation method proper to real time application like active vibration control. Using the proposed method, we examine the performance and feasibility of active vibration control based wave view-point through the simulation. The related experimental verification and application is going to be expected in a near future.

와동 발생기를 이용한 자외선 살균 시스템 성능 향상에 관한 연구 (A Study on Enhancement of UV Disinfection System Performance by the Vortex Generator)

  • The effectiveness of a UV(ultra violet) disinfection system depends on the characteristics of the waste water, flow conditions, the intensity of UV radiation, the amount of time the microorganisms are exposed to the radiation, and the reactor configuration. The wast water flow conditions are important factors in the design of UV disinfection system from the point of enhancement view of UV disinfection. The turbulent energy intensity in the wake by the vortex shedding are effective for UV radiation. Therewith the effectiveness of vortex generator is considered as a enhancement of UV disinfection. The experimental results presented give important evidences and explain that it is possible to predict UV disinfection performance based on flow experiments. An experimental investigation of two types of the vortex generator is presented. The qualitative and quantitative evaluations of the wake are made by flow visualization using smoke wire method and the measurement of vortex frequencies in the wind tunnel. From the experiment, following results were obtained that the delta wing type vortex generator is more effective than circular type because of the higher vortex frequencies and the smaller drag.

색상분포에 기반한 적응형 샘플링 및 6차원 ICP (6D ICP Based on Adaptive Sampling of Color Distribution)

  • 3차원 정합이란 다시점에서 획득한 3차원 점군들을 정렬하는 기술로써 지난 수십 년간 많은 연구가 진행되고 있는 분야이다. 이러한 3차원 정합은 ICP(Iterative Closest Point) 알고리즘을 시작으로 많은 변형 ICP가 소개되고 있다. 하지만 ICP 계열의 알고리즘들은 최근접점을 대응점으로 간주하여 알고리즘을 수행한다. 그렇기 때문에 3차원 점군의 초기 오차가 큰 경우 정확한 대응점 탐색에 실패할 수 있다. 이런 문제점을 해결하기 위해 본 논문에서는 색상과 3차원 거리가 융합된 6차원 거리와 색상분포 유사도를 이용한다. 더 나아가 색상 분할 기반 적응형 샘플링을 이용하여 알고리즘 연산 속도를 감소시키고 성능을 향상시키는 것을 목표로 한다. 마지막으로 실험을 통해 기존의 방법과 본 논문에서 제안하는 방법의 성능을 비교한다.

Motion Control of Two Welding Mobile Robot with Seam Tracking Sensor

  • This paper proposed PID controller for torch slider and PD controller for motor right wheel. to control the motion of two-wheeled welding mobile robot with seam tracking sensor touched on welding line. The motion control is realized in the view of keeping constant welding velocity and precise seam tracking even though the target welding line is on straight line or curved line. The position and direction of the body of the mottle robot are controlled by using signal errors between seam tracking sensor and body positioning sensor attached on the end of torch slider and body side of the mobile robot, respectively. In turning motion, the body and the torch slider are controlled by using the kinematic model related with two motions of body turning and torch sliding. The straight locomotion is controlled according to eleven control patterns obtained from displacements between two sensors of the seam tracking sensor and the body positioning sensor. The effectiveness is proven through the experimental results fur lattice type welding line. Through the experimental results, we can see that the position value of the electrode end point and the welding velocity are controlled almost constantly both in straight and turning locomotion.
