철근콘크리트 부재의 장부작용에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Dowel Action in Reinforcement Concrete Members)

  • This research is aimed at the experimental investigation of the characteristic contribution of the structural parameters, such as concrete over, concrete strength and reinforcing bar size on the dowel strength of the reinforced concrete stuctures. A total of twenty four specimens were tested for eight experimental conditions. The test results showed relatively close agreements with the values calculated by Vintzeleou-tassios equation. From the observations of the test results, it was found that the concrete cover affected almost linearly on the dowel strength , while the var size and the concrete strength showed coupled effects.

The Effect of Structural Factors on the Torsional Rigidity of Yarns

  • In this paper, in order to examine the torsional behaviour of twisted yarn closely, the torsional rigidity would be derived in terms of physical and mechanical characteristics of its constituent fibers and yarn structural parameters by energy-method. And the propriety of the theory will be discussed by comparing with experimental results. The torsional rigidity of yarn in both experimental and theoretical results decreases with surface helix angle increases. But the experimental values are more higher than those of the theoretical ones.

The Effect of Ground Cherry Extract on the Activity of Hepatic Aniline Hydroxylase in Mice

  • To evaluate the effect of ground cherry extract on the activity of aniline hydroxylase, we gave ground cherry extract in doses of 100, 200 or 400 mg/kg i.p to mice for 1, 2 or 4 days. The aniline hydroxylase activity in the group treated with ground cherry extract increased in a dose dependant manner in all experimental groups compared with the control group, and was significantly higher in the group treated with ground cherry extract at a dose of 200 mg/kg, which also exhibited a time dependant increase over 4 days. Enzyzme kinetic analysis was performed for hepatic aniline hydroxylase activity in the group treated with 200 mg/kg for 4 days. There was no change of the Km values for aniline hydroxylase between the experimental group and the control group, but the Vmax values for aniline hydroxylase was 21% lower in the experimental group compared with the control. The experimental group also showed lower lipid peroxide and reduced glutathione content, and there were no significant difference in serum alanine aminotransferase activity between the experimental group and the control. Aniline was injected into both the experimental group mice treated with ground cherry extract at a dose of 200 mg/kg for 4 days and the control group, and then the level of blood aniline was assayed at 1hr. The level of blood aniline was lower in the experimental than the control group. This study suggests that ground cherry extract induces hepatic aniline hydroxylase activity and might accelerate the scavenging system of reactive oxygen species. It is likely that ground cherry extract influences the metabolism of xenobiotics by activating AH activity substituted for CYP2E1.

  • Adopting Internet of Things (IoT)-based technologies in smart homes helps users analyze home appliances electricity consumption for better overall cost monitoring. The IoT application like smart home system (SHS) could suffer from large missing values gaps due to several factors such as security attacks, sensor faults, or connection errors. In this paper, a novel framework has been proposed to predict large gaps of missing values from the SHS home appliances electricity consumption time-series datasets. The framework follows a series of steps to detect, predict and reconstruct the input time-series datasets of missing values. A hybrid convolutional neural network-long short term memory (CNN-LSTM) neural network used to forecast large missing values gaps. A comparative experiment has been conducted to evaluate the performance of hybrid CNN-LSTM with its single variant CNN and LSTM in forecasting missing values. The experimental results indicate a performance superiority of the CNN-LSTM model over the single CNN and LSTM neural networks.

음의 복원력에 의한 횡경사 실험 연구 (An Experimental Study on Loll)

  • 정기적으로 운행하던 여객선 세월호가 소각도 변침 중에 급격히 횡경사되면서 전복하는 사고가 최근 발생하였다. 선박의 횡경사가 발생 원인에 따라 Heel, List, Loll로 구분되어 그 원인에 따라 적절히 대응해야 함에도 불구하고 음의 복원력에 의한 횡경사(Loll)에 대한 항해사들의 인식이 매우 부족하다. 이에 본 연구에서는 음의 복원력에 의한 횡경사에 대한 개념, 발생과정 및 횡경사각 산정법을 고찰하고, 박스형 모형선을 이용한 수조 실험을 통해 실제 횡경사각의 발생과 음의 복원력 정도에 따른 횡경사각의 크기를 이론식과 비교 검증하였다. 그 결과, 실험값은 이론식에 의한 횡경사각 계산값과 잘 일치하였으며, 음의 복원력에 의한 횡경사의 특성으로서 좌현과 우현에서 동일한 각도의 횡경사가 발생하였다. 본 연구를 통하여 음의 복원력을 가진 선박의 거동에 관한 인식이 확대되고 과거 원인이 불명확한 전복사고의 원인분석에 참조되길 기대한다. 향후 음의 복원력에 의한 횡경사에서의 부적절한 대응으로 전개될 수 있는 선박의 거동에 관한 실험연구 및 사례연구가 필요하다고 사료된다.

  • 두다른 방법을 사용하여 사면체 및 사각형[M(Ⅱ)$O_2S_2$] 형태 착물의 쌍극자모멘트에 대한 ${\pi}$결합의 영향을 고찰하였다. 그첫째 방법은 금속이온의 원자가 궤도함수와 리간드 궤도함수 사이의 혼성계수 CM이 ${\sigma}$${\pi}$결합 분자궤도함수에 대하여 모두 같다는 가정에 기초를 둔 근사 분자궤도함수 법이며 다른 하나는 반경험적인 LCAO-MO법에 기초를 둔 계산이다. ${\sigma}$ 결합만이 형성되었다고 가정한다면 사면체 및 사각형 착물의 계산한 쌍극자 모멘트는 실험치 보다 작다. 계산한 쌍극자 모멘트에 ${\pi}$결합의 기여분을 모두 고려 해 준다면 사각형 및 사면체 $[M (II)O_2S_2]$형태 착물의 계산한 쌍극자모멘트는 실험치보다 크다. 그러나 ${\pi}$결합이 비편재 되었다고 가정한다면 사면체 [M(II)$O_2S_2$]형태 착물의 계산한 쌍극자 모멘트가 실험치 범위안에 들지만 사각형착물의 쌍극자 모멘트는 실험치에서 벗어난다. 이 결과는 [M(II)$O_2S_2$]]형태 착물이 비극성 용매의 용액에서 사면체 구조로 존재함을 암시하며 이 구조는 실험구조와 일치한다. 사면체 [M(II)$O_2S_2$] 형태착물의 계산한 쌍극자모멘트는 쌍극자모멘트에 ${\pi}$결합이 참여함을 지적한다.

Aloe vera가 Cobalt-60 감마선을 조사한 마우스의 혈액상 및 혈액화학치에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Aloe vera on Hematology and Blood Chemical Values of Cobalt-60 Gamma Irradiated Mice)

  • This study was performed to investigate the effects of Aloe vera administration(500mg/kg. B.W., s.i.d., P.O.) on hematology, blood chemical values and histopathological changes of spleen in cobalt-60 gamma Irradiated mice. 1. Total leucocyte counts of aloe administered groups were less decreased and more rapidly returned to normal level than those of control group. 2. Lymphocyte counts were rapidly decreased on the 1st day after irradiation in all experimental groups, but the counts were less decreased in aloe administered groups than those of control group. 3. Erythrocyte counts, hemoglobin values and hematocrit values of aloe administered groups were maintained within normal level, but these values showed lower values on the 14th day after irradiation in control group then returned to normal level on the 21th day after irradiation. 4. There were no differences between aloe administered groups and control group In LDH, SGOT and glucose values. 5. Histopathological changes of spleen in aloe administered groups showed less lymphocytic necrosis and depletion than those of control group.

치아 수복재에 의한 갈바닉 전류가 인체 타액에 미치는 영향 (THE EFFECT OF GALVANIC CURRENT BETWEEN DENTAL RESTORATIONS ON HUMAN SALIVA)

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of galvanic current between different metallic restorations on human saliva. The rate of salivary flow and concentrations of IgG, IgM, sIgA and lactoferrin were measured. In this study, unstimulated whole saliva collected before restoration was regarded as control group and unstimulated whole saliva collected 10 minutes, 1 day, 1 week, and 1 month after restoration were regarded as experimental groups. Following results were obtained from this study. 1. There were some differences in values of salivary flow rate between experimental groups, but the changes in values compared to those of the control group were not statistically significant(P>0.05). 2. Measurements of major antibacterial components of saliva showed that while the concentrations of IgG and IgM decreased significantly 1 week and 1 month after restoration(P<0.05), changes in values of sIgA and lactoferrin were not statistically significant(P>0.05). 3. In vitro measurements of galvanic currents decreased sharply in the first 20 seconds and thereafter decreased gradually. Galvanic current values measured in the early stages were greatly varied, but after 2 hours, the values in all groups approximated each other.

측방변형지반속 줄말뚝에 작용하는 토압의 산정법 (Estimation Method of Earth Pressures Acting on a Row of Piles due to Lateral Soil Movements)

  • 줄말뚝이 설치된 지반에서 지반의 측방변형에 의한 지반아칭발생시 말뚝주변지반의 파괴는 지반아칭영역중 외부아 치의 정상부에서 정상파괴가 발생될 때부터 시작하여 말뚝전면의 패기부에서 캡파괴가 발생될 때까지 진행된다. 따라서, 측방변형지반속 줄말뚝에 작용하는 측방토압은 정상파괴와 캡파괴 모두의 경우를 검토할 필요가 있다. 정상파괴시의 측방토압 산정식은 원주공동확장이론을 적용하여 제안할 수 있다. 이 제안식을 검토한 결과 말뚝에 작용하는 측방토압은 주변지반의 내부마찰각, 점착력 및 수평토압과 말뚝직경 및 말뚝설치간격에 큰 영향을 받고 있음을 알 수 있다. 그리고, 캡파괴에 의한 측방토압과 정상파괴에 의한 측방토압의 이론식을 이용하여 줄말뚝에 작용하는 측방토압 범위를 정의할 수 있다. 또한, 본 논문에서는 캡파괴와 정상파괴시 측방토압의 이론치과 모형실험으로부터 구한 실험치를 비교 검토하였다. 모형실험에서 얻은 캡파괴와 정상파괴의 실험치는 제안된 각 이론의 이론치와 잘 일치하고 있으므로, 제안된 이론식의 합리성을 확인할 수 있다.

REVIEW AND COMPILATION OF DATA ON RADIONUCLIDE MIGRATION AND RETARDATION FOR THE PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT OF A HLW REPOSITORY IN KOREA

  • In this study, data on radionuclide migration and retardation processes in the engineered and natural barriers of High-Level Radioactive Waste (HLW) repository have been reviewed and compiled for use in the performance assessment of a HLW disposal system in Korea. The status of the database on radionuclide migration and retardation that is being developed in Korea is investigated and summarized in this study. The solubilities of major actinides such as D, Th, Am, Np, and Pu both in Korean bentonite porewater and in deep Korean groundwater are calculated by using the geochemical code PHREEQC (Ver. 2.0) based on the KAERI-TDB(Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute-Thermochemical Database), which is under development. Databases for the diffusion coefficients ($D^b_e$ values) and distribution coefficients ($K^b_d$ values) of some radionuclides in the compacted Korean Ca-bentonite are developed based upon domestic experimental results. Databases for the rock matrix diffusion coefficients ($D^r_e$ values) and distribution coefficients ($K^r_d$ values) of some radionuclides for Korean granite rock and deep groundwater are also developed based upon domestic experimental results. Finally, data related to colloids such as the characteristics of natural groundwater colloids and the pseudo-colloid formation constants ($K_{pc}$ values) are provided for the consideration of colloid effects in the performance assessment.
