흘확장법과 억지끼워맞춤에 의한 잔류응력 해석 (Analysis for the Residual Stress by Cold Expansion Method and Interference Fit)

  • The purpose of this study is comparing cold expansion method with interference fit. Cold expansion method and interference fit of fastener hole is using in the aerospace industry. These treatment lead to an improvement of fatigue life to the compressive residual stresses developed on the hole surface. But Research is nothing to about difference effect of between cold expansion method and interference fit. So, this paper, it is shown that Comparing cold expansion method with interference fit using the finite element method. It is further shown that residual stress distribution according to plate thickness and clamping force.

초고속기용 열박음 로터 제작을 위한 로터의 치수에 따른 가열온도의 해석적 예측 (Analytical Prediction of Heating Temperature to Manufacture Rotor with Shrink Fit for Ultra High Speed Motor According to Change Dimension of Rotor)

  • This paper deals with shrink fit analysis of rotor by 2D cross-section, 2D axis-symmetry, and 3D FEM model. And this paper presents 2nd order approximation function of thermal expansion displacement by design variables (shape dimension, heating temperature, sleeve length, interference etc.), table of orthogonal array and RSM(response surface methodology). The possibility of the rotor with shrink fit is evaluated by thermal expansion displacement. If thermal expansion displacement is larger than interference, shrink fit enable to make the rotor. 2D axis-symmetry model and 3D model are more reasonable than 2D cross-section model, because stress and strain is different along length of shaft.

  • The lubricant impregnated MC nylon has good frictional properties, but its mechanical strength is inferior to steel for the mechanical elements. For the tribological application Nylon as gears, sliding bearings, cam and etc, the steel shafts are fitted in pre-heated nylon cylinder by a process of interference expansion fit and bonded by induction heating method. The joint shear strength of the two materials was measured by a universal test machine. From the study, the adhesive shear strength between these two materials was affected by the factors of the interference between nylon and steel, the size of nylon cylinder, knurl of steel shaft and inducting heating conditions. The most effective jointing conditions were analyzed and decided for the practical application in the industry.

브랜드컨셉과 사고방식이 비유사 브랜드확장에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Brand Concept and Thinking Styles on the Non-similar Brand Extension)

  • 본 연구는 모브랜드로부터 상당한 거리가 있는 제품범주로의 브랜드 확장(비유사 브랜드확장)에 영향을 미치는 모브랜드의 컨셉과 사고방식의 주효과는 물론, 이들 변수간의 상호작용효과인 조절효과를 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 속옷브랜드인 캘빈클라인(상징적 컨셉)과 보디가드(기능적 컨셉)를 모브랜드로 선정하였으며 확장제품으로는 지갑을 선정하였다. 연구결과 1) 기능적 브랜드컨셉보다 상징적 브랜드컨셉에서 브랜드 확장의 적합성 판단 및 평가가 높게 나타났으며, 2) 종합적 사고자들이 분석적 사고자들보다 브랜드 확장의 적합성을 높게 판단하고 호의적으로 평가하였다. 뿐만 아니라 3) 상징적 브랜드에서는 사고방식에 따른 적합성 판단 및 평가가 큰 차이를 보이지 않았지만 기능적 브랜드에서는 상대적으로 큰 차이를 보여 변수들 간의 상호작용 효과를 살펴볼 수 있었다. 이러한 연구 결과는 글로벌 시장 환경 하에서 기존의 브랜드컨셉을 고려한 다양하고도 실질적인 마케팅전략을 수행하는데 상당한 기여를 할 것이다.

공작기계용 고속 볼베어링의 최적 끼워맞춤에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Optimum Shrink-fit for High Speed Ball Bearing of Machine Tool)

  • The spindle is the main component in machine tools. To develop high speed machine tools, a lot of studies have been carried out for high speed spindle. Bearing is very important part in spindle. The bearing clearance is influenced by shrink fit and thermal expansion during operation. The designer must take into account the reduction of shrink fits. The aims of this study are to grasp the shrink fits and behavior of a bearing which is a deeply connected with fatigue life of bearing and performance of spindle through FEM(Finite Element Method). This paper proposed optimum value of shrink fit considering deformation of spindle and stress of fitting area using design of experiments. Thus, the proposed formula can be used to obtain bearing internal clearance.

  • Shrink fitting is often used to replace conventional mechanical fasteners and fastening methods. Localized heating of the mating surface provides temporary expansion and allows slip fit assembly. The resulting interference fit exhibits exceptional strength without surface deformation at ambient temperatures. We studied an analysing method to find out a deformation of motor axis with shrink fitting of thermal expansion.

공작기계용 볼 베어링의 억지끼워맞춤과 내부틈새변화에 관한 해석적 연구 (FE-analysis of Shrink Fits and Internal Clearance for Ball Bearing of Machine Tool)

  • The bearing clearance is influenced by shrink fit and thermal expansion during operation. The designer must take into account the reduction of clearance after installation to the interference fits, and thermal expansion must be considered. The purpose of this study is to grasp the internal clearance variation and behavior of a bearing which is a deep connected with fatigue life of bearing and performance of spindle through FEM(Finite Element Method). Finite element analysis is performed by using commercial code ANSYS according to variation of thermal condition and rotational speeds. This paper presents correct negative internal clearance according to temperature during operation. Furthermore, interrelation between thermal expansion and contraction are presented to maintain adequate contact force for three type of spindle system (HSK-A60, HSK-40E, HSK-32E). The influence of the centrifugal force and Internal clearance variation of bearing is studied to operating rotational speed.

세라믹 축과 금속림의 열박음 체결력 특성에 관한 연구 (Characteristic of the shrink fit strength using ceramic shaft and metal ring)

  • Using carbon steel or ceramic as a shaft material of monolithic and slited insert ring clamped on it. The fitting strengths of the sgrink fitted assemblies measured from room temperature to 30$0^{\circ}C$ and following conclusions were obtained as results of this investigation. 1) The fitting condition under which the shrink fitted assemble was stronger than that using simple fit in high temperature. 2) When both material of the 30mm-diameter shaft and 55mm-diameter boss are SM45C the clamping torque is increased 2.7times as the interference increases 3 times from 20${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ at the contact length of 6mm monolithic fit. 3) When only the material of boss is changed to STS 304 the clamping torque is increased at the rate of 37.3N.m per 1mm increase of the contact length at the interference of 50${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ monolithic fit.
