The relationship between innovation policies and locational competitiveness has emerged as an important area in the analysis of economic development, reflecting both the centralisation and decentralisation of globalising economic activities. The underlying spatial and institutional components are subject to a pattern of cumulative causation in which strategic interventions of policy actors exercise a decisive role in shaping competitive advantages, while promoting interactions with local and foreign partners both from the private and public sectors. The Singaporean development experience illustrated these strategic interdependencies of innovation policies and locational competitiveness. Based on her role as a manufacturing and service hub, Singapore is viewed as an infrastructural nodal point which is interconnected to global production networks. Paralleling efforts in the domain of technological innovation, Singapore's policies for locational competitiveness aim at an adaptive harmonisation of the needs of international investors with local developmental objectives. This orientation characterises also current efforts in promoting Singapore as a knowledge agglomeration with a distinct science base, expanding R&D operations and an innovation-driven pattern of economic development. In conclusion, the locational rationale of Singapore's innovation policies provides lessons for dealing with the spatial and institutional implications of technological globalisation.

RFID technology has been gradually expanding its application. One of the important performance issues in RFID systems is to resolve the collision among multi-tags identification on restricted area. We consider a new anti-collision scheme based on Class Identification algorithm using Depth-First scheme. We evaluate how much performance can be improved by Class identification algorithm in the cases of Query-tree more then 17% identification rate and 150% performance.

Organic fanning in the UK has been greatly grown for the last decade. Two policies for supporting organic farming introduced in 1994 and 1999 played a crucial role in expanding organic farming area and increase in the number of farmers taken up organic fanning methods. Comparing the two policies, this paper identifies that the significant increase in financial aid to organic fanning in 1999 not only was a key factor to succeed in the scheme but also provided environmental base for further development of rural areas. However, such a national aid scheme should be improved in order to reflect regional specific characteristics in terms of environmental protection and local social and economic development. the experience of the UK suggests that the role of organic fanning in rural economics should be defined before enhancing financial support to farmers.

Giant cell reparative granuloma(GCRG) is a non-neoplastic rapidly expanding and locally destructive tumor that occurs almost exclusively within the mandible and maxilla. A 58-year-old man, complained of a mass on the left infra-auricular area starting 2 months ago. The radiologic finding suggests a mass that originate from mandible, pathology diagnosed the lesion as a giant cell reparative granuloma. The tumor was surgically excised without complications. We report the case with a review of literature.

The changes in the game platform is appeared since the advent of smart-phones. Apple's iOS or Google's Android platform is gradually expanding their territories in the mobile game area. Android's platform fragmentation and the absence of game development framework act as barriers for game developments. In the development of game applications on the smart-phone, the standardized development procedures under game framework can achieve the productivity improvement. In this paper, we propose a new design pattern suitable for the design of a framework for new areas of application through the expansion of existing framework. The design and implementation of the Android game development framework is presented by taking advantage of existing design patterns and a proposed pattern. Also we propose the standardized development procedure of game applications under the proposed framework.

The integrated school has an expectation of the total education environment in which has some problems as regional, emotional, teaching treatment, establishment equipment part because of the based relative establishments are abolished. The expectations are the educating effective rising, the reduce of the responsibility of the teacher, a smooth teacher placing and saving the educating estimate. As the new education course propulsion is raising the school and students discretion and expanding the way of educating, being close to the course of studies, the integrated operation is earnestly needed and such as these versatile background the small schools will keep on getting integrated. So, in this paper I'll object the need and purpose of the integrate operation and show the integrated schools that are now in use. Investigate about actual condition of the integrated school, so after these research I've concluded these things below about the integrated school operating.

We report a case of hydrocephalus in a 8-year-old boy who presented bilateral hand tremor. The hydrocephalus was caused by the aqueductal stenosis due to expanding lacunae in the mesencephalothalamic area on MR findings. The tremor was improved after CSF drainage by spinal tap and ventriculoperitoneal shunt. The authors present the possible mechanism of hydrocephalus induced tremor.

In this paper, we represented the variation of heart cavity area in the space domain by 3-d rendering. We arranged the 2-d sequence of ultrasonic image acquired in the time domain as volumetric data, and extracted heart cavity region from 3-d data. For the segmentation of 3-d volume data, we extracted the cavity region using the method of expanding the cavity region that is same statistical property. By shading which is using light and object normal vector, we visualized the volume data on image plane.

As the trend of the automation is increasing, the usage of the programmable automation equipments like programmable controller(PC), numerical controller(NC), distributed control systems(DCS) and robot controller is greatly expanding in the area of the industrial equipments. But the development of the programing language for the programmable automatic equipment is rarely accomplished. In this paper, we propose design and implementation technique of the real-time mechanism control language by adding time constraint constructs and timing analysis constructs ot conditional statement and iteration statement of a programming language. Moreover, we made it possible to predict plausibility of time constraint constructs of a real time application program at compilation time and developing execution time analysiss technique.

Modern public library is expanding its role as generalized cultural facility. Therefore public library that has comfortable and physical environment for various age and various users are needed. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the application of universal design in common space of public library, and trying to suggest environmental improvement plan that various users could comfortably use the library based on its data. The scope of this research were adjusted as 8 public libraries located in Seoul and metropolitan area of Seoul. Spacial scope that was set of this research was common space of public library and scope of content was about application of universal design. As a result of the research, first, the application of universal design toward common space of public library were appeared as low. Second, constant management and application development of universal design is needed. Third, as roles and functions of public library become various from now on, application of delicate universal design is needed for intention of users.
