A Study on the Expression Methods of Space Perception by the Scene in the Exhibition Space (전시공간에서의 장면에 의한 공간지각 표현방법에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to find the space perception by the scene and to analyze the characteristics in the exhibition space. The data for the analysis was collected through a questionnaire survey method. The questionnaire is composed of a scene selection on the panoramic photographs of the exhibition space. 'The 4 Rivers Cultural Center - The ARK' was selected as the subject of this survey. The results of the study are presented as follows : First, the space perception perceived imaged scenes rather than the specific elements of space. Second, the space perception was revealed through the 'Form', 'Materials', 'Light', 'Lighting', 'Furniture' and 'Media' of notable elements. Also that was perceived by forming 'Line', 'Surface' and 'Volume'. Particularly, the perception of 'Surface' was higher than 'Line' and 'Volume'. 'Surface' was perceived mostly through the 'Color'. The perception of 'Line' was positive to 'Boundary' or 'Continuous placement of the light'. In addition, the perception of 'Volume' was positive to 'The curve of the form', 'Transparent material', 'Three-dimensional elements'. Finally, The type of space perception was chosen as 'Extension', 'Center', 'Deep', 'Boundary' and 'Formative'. In this way, the results of this study will set a foundation for developing design methods to induce the space perception by the scene in the exhibition space.

  • Contemporary ceramic art as a new art form, how to convey the visual information of contemporary ceramic art works to the audience through the design and display of exhibition space is the primary problem of exhibition space design. Based on the current lack of research on contemporary ceramic art exhibition space design, this study focuses on the characteristics of contemporary ceramic art exhibition space design, in order to achieve the best exhibitions effect of contemporary ceramic art. Firstly, summarize the previous research and examine the "Spirit of Porcelain" -2021 Jingdezhen International Ceramic Art Biennial Exhibition held by the Art Museum of Jingdezhen Ceramic University. From the perspective of human factors engineering, combined with comparative analysis of the overall spatial layout and display space form, the scientific unity of the overall layout of the display space and the flexibility and sustainability of the exhibition space form design are obtained. The theoretical knowledge obtained in this study provides theoretical guidance and important practical significance for the design of contemporary ceramic art exhibition spaces; Simultaneously contributing to the development of contemporary ceramic art exhibition space design in China and even globally.

  • This study can be expressed by gathered and formed into the exhibition space's structure practical progress/ application. For the one model of fascinating exhibition's space thru inter-space's pertinent adjustment, production between spactator and exhibition constituent on an exhibition story-line, I adjusted the focus to follow mentioned methods systematically for the example; An exhibition space is completed to be very impressive and attractive space by proper adjustment and production of M-M/C interface in exhibition storyline. Quantity space is transfered into quality space through the transmission of an exhibition which can be define as the point of an exhibition structure. And also could de transferd into a bodily sensation space that inherent full of interactive constituent. Changeable exhibition constituents (exhibition item and text) that sporadically expatiated (not trimed, the original form) in the process of an exhibition structure draw much higer quality of the optimal solution in optimize process which is given when aggregate again to contextual flow of synthetic exhibition scenario. Reconstruction of individual exhibition constituents to the new story, that is, transference of exhibition text to exhibition context is inspirit to an exhibition by maximize the exhibition effect in connection can be systematized through carrying out an outcentripetalpart. However, since pattern of an exhibition structure that consequtively meet variety spacetime of an exhibittion environmental can't be exist, this study presents centralizing the exhibition plan of Korea communication pavilion of the annual Expo Comm Wireress Korea, sustained process from design proposal, research and analysis to synthesis, development, transmission and management to an example of an applying crystallization.

  • The art museum plays a role as a cultural space that can solve the cultural desire of people and see a good art works. It is in exhibition space that they personally exchange the feeling between an art work and a viewer in art museum. The types and works - a fiber, a photo, an establishment that needs many places, devices, a video art, and an action art called "performance", cultural art - are shown in small art museum. Moreover, exhibition spaces are modified into the space of another art activities like dancing, music concerts in small art museum because it has no profit space for diverse art activities. And the exhibition the characters of the exhibition space in small art museum. So, it needs to change the characters of the exhibition space in small art museum. Under these background, this stud\ulcorner surveys and analyzes the exhibits, the organization methods, the modified conditions, and the scale of the existing exhibitional space in small art museum. Therefore, the goal of this study is to suggest the composition of the exhibition space unit considering the function and the multifunction in minimum art museum and small art museum.

  • This is an interior design for a furniture & lighting design exhibition. The concept of design is to secure the smooth flow planning of an audience and effective direction of an exhibit Design content include 1) installation(passage of light) to guide an audience from entrance to right side of the exhibition space to prohibit the flow dispersion and keep smooth continual circulation flow plan 2)image-wall to introduce exhibition 3)installation to help the global understanding of exhibit 4)exhibition stand design considering proper height of audience's eye.

A Study on the Typological Analysis of Museum Layouts (박물관 관람공간구성의 유형분석에 관한 연구)

  • The study intends to systematically arrange and classify the museum layouts in terms of their structure of exhibition space. The exhibition space, here, means the whole area where visitors are allowed to move and visit in museums. Through this, I tied to understand the characteristics and trends comparing and analyzing international and national exhibition space layout, and then grope the standard in case of establishing museum. The first criteria is based on the point of view that the typical museum experience is made in the exhibition space. Accordingly, the exhibition space can be grouped into two categories; one is 'room type' consisting mostly of individual rooms as in classical museums, and the other is 'open plan type' consisting free standing walls as in miesian free plan. The second criteria is dependent on the way how visitors move about in exhibition spaces. In other words, museum layouts can be categorized in terms of mutual connection between individual spaces including exhibition spaces and corridor spaces designated for the purpose of moving. consequently, the layouts can be categorized into five groups such as 'free plan', 'linear type', 'room to room', 'room & corridor' and 'composition type'. The third criteria is about the overall structure of museum layouts including such elements as whether it contains a certain type of central major space or not and whether and how the exhibition spaces are connected to it. By applying these classificatory criteria, the study analyzed and classified 90 sample of museum layouts in order to understand clearly and succintly the spatial characteristics and implications contained in them.

A Study on Characteristic of Visitor's Behavior and Circulation Path Type in Art Museum Exhibition Space (미술관 단위전시실의 경로선택 유형과 관람행동 특성에 관한 고찰)

  • This study attempts to understand the arrangement and spatial requisites of art pieces by materializing the visitors' path of movement in the exhibition space, as well as researching their behavior. The purpose of the research is to the guideline for planning the exhibition layout and visitors' circulation can be derived in order to correspond to the visitors' characteristic of movement and circulation-path choice. Although such guideline may have limited use, it is still significant enough to be studied. Taking three Korean art galleries as the subjects of research, this study observes the arrangement of art pieces, movement path of visitors, characteristics of the visitors' behavior and the duration time a visitor takes to view an art piece without moving around in order to understand the arrangement and spatial requisites of art pieces which correspond to the visitors' behavior. The following results have been drawn in this research and analysis; First, when there is an island type exhibition other than the ordinary on-the-wall display in the exhibition space, the visitors' choice of path changes. In short, an island type exhibition seems to be a factor that changes the visitors' path. Second, in the entrance of an exhibition space unit, most of the visitors seem to choose a path which moves counter-clockwise. Third, it is considered that well-known art pieces or art pieces with a big size shall not be displayed on the comer of the exhibition room.

  • Today, display is rapid changing with the rapid expansion of industrial society, the rapid changing of distribution structure, various world fairs and living environmental improvement. The extreme effect, visibility and imphasis are necessary for the efficient exhibition to show the invention Idea and products. Exhibition space's functions is to possess accumulative results and can communicate with visitors. The display in exhibition spare connect space, human and objects.   • This study aims to understand the correlation between system of exhibition contents and structure of exhibition space in nature and science museums. So, in this paper it deals with 10 examples of overseas nature and science museums as analytical objects, using Space Syntax as an analytical tool. In conclusion, the system of exhibition contents of nature & science museums can be divided into field and theme, and subdivided into total 6 systems according to categorization and integration. The system of exhibition contents by field is generally characterized by unconstricted access and system of exhibition contents by theme is generally marked by high visual openness. And the system of exhibition content according to categorization is characterized by strong concentration on exhibitory convex and its wide distribution.

  • This study intends to analyze the various spatial structures of the Seoul city museum with reference to the layouts and the qualitative mode of exhibition items. Understanding the way of actual exhibition design can be a clue to understand the contents of exhibition story which guarantees to make the pertinent space and visitors route organization between different levels of architectural space and exhibition space.
