This study aims to offer fundamental characteristics of functional configurations in architectural museums through comparative analysis between korean and foreign museums. In so doing, it deals with the relationship between identity of museum policy and its spatial program such as archiving center, exhibition center and communication-research center. For the prove of such relationship this study attempt to compare multiple cases such as MAXXI, Nai etc. Finally this study propose that, in considering the establishment of a new architectural museum, the space program should be considered as a continuous changing process in order to make the museum as a cultural multi-complex.

  • This research is a basic study to understand the current state of the complex cultural space in the public library and the programs in operation and to explore ways to activate the programs by complex cultural space based on the understanding of the public libraries that formed the complex cultural space. Thus, a survey was conducted on librarians of public libraries that had complex cultural space within the library and found that there were a number of educational, exhibition, and performance spaces, and in the same vein, there were a lot of related programs being run in the complex cultural space. However, due to the lack of personnel in charge and budget, difficulty in developing programs, low participation in the programs, and lack of cultural facilities and materials, the substantialization of complex cultural space management seems to be lacking. Therefore, it will be required to set the goals and visions for the complex cultural space in libraries and to secure space, manpower, budget, and promotional efforts to reinvigorate the complex cultural space in the future.

  • In a contemporary fashion along with the advance of high technology, development of a new material is being increasingly emphasized and the need of creative convergence using a computer is being expanded. As a global designer who appeared through association between Japan and the West, Issey Miyake has been continually pursuing a new challenge and a solution using high technology, leading the globalization of Japanese fashion. This research aims at examining design characteristics of Issey Miyake collection's A-POC showing a new paradigm, that is, an innovative clothing manufacture system to input information on materials, colors and shapes into a textile machine based on the computer program and manufacture a cylindrical fabric for completion of seamless clothing without sewing or cutting. A-POC is evolving continually through the development of new materials including recycled fibers and organics together with diversification of processing technology. Besides, it shows design characteristics including an integrated manufacturing method, autonomy for customers' selection, practicality for comfortable wearing by the majority, environment friendly idea to reduce waste of fabrics and materials and a new presentation through convergence of exhibition concepts of modern art. This research on Issey Miyake's A-POC characteristics is expected to present a role of fashion designers in a new design idea and paradigm of contemporary clothing using high technology.

Also, along urban regeneration that does not change deterioration of previous structures, Folly changed in the emphasis on readjust existing structure. Second, by having different designers presenting their own follies during the Osaka Expo, folly now has part on visual exhibition element. This has similarity with public art project, yet it could more actively intervene for urban regeneration compared to conventional environment sculpture. Third, folly is experimented as the event-installation art combined form of architecture and art where people could experience the space and enjoy art. Fourth, folly enabled the landscaping of architecture and expanding city planning. Recently Gwangju Folly invited various arts, social, and cultural professionals to converge city design with architecture, landscaping, and other diverse genres.

  • Screen climbing is a kind of screen sports. In screen climbing, the software program is executed in a computer system and climbing is progressed by the interaction between a climber and the content of the screen. We implemented a screen climbing game with the ancient cave exploration considering the development of children and the children's motivation to sports climbing. The content of the game is projected to the artificial climb wall and the interaction between a user and the game is done by a user's input of Kinect's depth data. The game is popular with the children in the children's exhibition event. There should be implemented more screen climbing game.

  • This study is designed to examine how the female body, as shown in Korean modern figure paintings, is expressed as an object for one's gaze and the meaning behind it. The study analyzed the entries displayed during the Joseon Arts Exhibitions from 1922 to 1944, for a total of 23 times. The exhibition entries are considered to be the representative sources in regards to the history of Korean modern arts. This study examined the artistic works, which portrayed the female body as an object for gaze. Literature research was conducted to look into the general background of modern society in Korea and the significance of the body as an object for gaze, and empirical study was also performed to analyze the female body in modern figure paintings. This research reveals how the bodies of modern Korean women were seen under the structure of power. It is believed that the process of criticizing and complementing the bodies of Korean women, which was distorted by Japan, may lead to an objective analysis of the aesthetic consciousness of the Korean female bodies.
