디젤기관의 산화촉매에서 Pt 로딩량에 따른 배출가스 저감에 관한 실험적 연구 (A Experimental Study on Exhaust Gas Reduction by Pt Loading in Oxidation Catalyst of Diesel Engine)

  • Recently among after-treatment devices which have high possibility of utility diesel oxidation catalyst(DOC) is concerned over the world. DOC oxidizes pollutants by means of activate-reaction during by-passing in the catalyst in doing so conversion efficiency of PM, CO and HC is high and this device does not have an effect on engine performance because back pressure is not nearly increased, But as a small amount of sulfur content in fuel is oxidized it makes sulfate which is absorbed on the surface of catalyst. So in this study the experiment is carried out by means of using ordinary fuel(0.1wt%) and low sulfur fuel(0.05wt%) with DOC and the emission gas of diesel engine is measured.

환기구 위치별 실내오염물질의 환기효과 변동에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Variation of Ventilation Effect for Indoor Air Pollutants by Ventilation Hole Sites)

  • This research has a purpose to achieve experimental data used for design of ventilation systems necessary for indoor air quality control and their operation and management. For the study, spatial concentration distribution of indoor air quality according to pollutant site in a simplified model chamber. In low flow ventilation, flow pattern of indoor air was mainly influenced by diffusion and additionally, spatial distribution was formed by convection. Distribution of ventilation efficiency according to each pattern of model chamber was evaluated. It was confirmed that diffusion patterns of a pollutant among sites were formed, centering around main stream areas of supply and exhaust outlets.

  • Recently, global warming has been accelerated due to air pollution and air pollutants are coming from the exhaust of the ICE vehicles, which are gradually increasing in number globally. That is why all the countries in the world are striving to reduce pollutant emissions of automobiles by strengthening regulations on air pollution. To comply with the regulations, the auto industry came up with hybrid vehicles, which have features of both ICE vehicles and electric vehicles. Hybrid vehicles show improvements in emissions, fuel efficiency, as well as functions as electric vehicles. This study aims to show possible troubles that occur at times of damages in high-voltage systems, and to suggest responsive measures.

철도차량 객차내 오염물질의 분포경향에 관한 전산해석 (Distribution of Pollutant on the Indoor Air of Passenger Car)

  • The transfer of air pollutants between passenger room and service room in train are investigated by the computational analysis. The effects of service room temperature, inlet velocity, initial concentration and heating are studied. The flow induced by the difference of density between two rooms is found to take the major role in transfer of polluted air. Low temperature of service room enhances the polluted air flow into passenger room along the floor. Exhaust fan above the door between two rooms is not effective for this case. Strong inlet flow is found to suppress polluted air flow from service room. The heating of passenger room can promote air pollution.

대기 중 다환방향족탄화수소-환경학적 고찰 (Atmospheric Polycyclic Aromatic H7ydrocarbons -Environmental Implications)

  • Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH) were one of the first airborne pollutants to be identified as being carcinogenic. This class of compounds is ubiquitous in the urban atmosphere, and has therefore undergone considerable scrutiny for the last three decades. PAH can be formed in any incomplete combustion or high temperature pyrolytic process involving materials containing carbon and hydrogen, such as fossil fuels. In this paper, the literature on the occurrence, ambient levels, and atmospheric fate and behaviour of airbonrne PAH has been reviewed, with a particular emphasis on the role of automobile sources in PAH emissions. Sampling and analytical techniques for the determination of PAH in air have also been examined. In addition, health implications and legislative aspects of human exposure to airborne PAH have been briefly reviewed. Finally, future requirements for better understanding of the atmospheric behaviour of PAH recommended.

  • With the significant growth of the number of vehicles environmental problems is raised. NOx SOx, and PM emissions in diesel powered vehicles are larger than that in gasoline because the development of pollutants reduction techniques has not been yet achieved. So it is need to develop after-tratment or to convert into alternative fuel to satisfy emission regula-tion. Among the after-treatment systems to reduce the diesel emissions studies with diesel oxidation catalyst(DOC) are done greatly. In this study using DOC reduction efficiency with the change of temperature and catalyst loading was calculated through measurements of CO, HC, PM. and SOX.

  • Presently, mobile diesel equipments contribute a lot to improve the economic feasibility of underground mining and tunneling operations. Even in Korea, a lot of diesel equipments are being applied to the undergroud workings already, but the technology of management and control of them is not sufficient yet. This study handled the production procedure, characteristics and evaluation technology on diesel particulate matte(DPM) which is known as a carcinogen. For easy measurement of DPM using laser dust monitor, conversion known as a carcinogen. For easy measurement of DPM using laser dust monitor, conversion factor(k) to gravimetric concentration has been acquired. It is appeared that the critical material among the diesel exhaust pollutants is becoming DPM instead of NOx from this year of 1996 according to the Government regulation.

市內버스 煤煙防止를 위한 觸媒酸化濾過裝置의 實用化 硏究 (The Evaluation of Catalytic Trap Oxidizer on a City Bus)

  • In order to reduce the smoke emission from the in-service city bus, this study was evaluated the particulate reduction efficiency and regeneration ability of the catalitic trap oxidizer (CTO) on the city bus (D0846HM engine) equipped with it. Before the on-road CTO test, the laboratory test of CTO on engine test-bench was performed. Reduction efficiencies of smokes and particulates were 54 and 45%, and those of gaseous pollutants such as carbon monoxide (CO) and hydrocarbons (HC) were 90 and 60%. In order to evaluate the regeneration ability of the CTO by the catalytic oxidation of trapped particulate, field test was performed on the in-service road. The regeneration temperature was 350$^\circ$ which was same with the exhaust temperature of city bus.

국소배기장치의 규제개선에 관한 연구 (A Study on Regulation Improvement of Local Ventilation System)

  • 국소배기장치를 설치하려는 경우 환경부 허가를 받더라도 고용노동부 허가를 새로 받아야 한다. 이는 대기환경보전법 뿐만 아니라 산업안전보건법 제48조2에 따른 제조업 유해위험방지계획서를 착공 15일 전까지 제출하도록 되어 있기 때문이다. 현행 환경부 대기환경보전법에서는 국소배기장치의 오염원을 대기 중으로 배출되는 부분만 규제하고 산업현장 내에서의 근로자 안전보건에 관한 내용은 산업안전보건법 등 고용노동부 소관 법률로 관리된다. 환경부의 승인을 받은 것임에도 고용노동부의 불승인 사례가 증가하여 생산지연 및 추가 개선비용에 따른 사업장의 불만이 커지고 있다. 또한, 화재 폭발의 위험성이 큰 국소배기장치의 경우 화재 폭발에 의한 중대산업사고 위험성이 증가하고 있다. 원인은 배풍량, 제어속도, 반송속도, 덕트구경, 화재폭발 위험성 등의 설계가 미흡했기 때문이다. 이는 국소배기장치 승인기준 및 절차는 대동소이 하나 산업안전보건법에서 근로자의 안전보건 및 화재 폭발에 대한 심사항목이 추가되어 있기 때문이다. 본 연구에서는 환경부와 고용노동부에서 이원화 되어 있는 국소배기장치 설치 승인기준을 비교 분석하여 합리적인 제도운영 방안을 모색하고자 한다.
