To present the design procedure of discretized 8-bit tent map executing the transformation of tent function which is one of the chaotic functions, first, the truth table of discretized tent map was written, and then according to the simplified Boolean algebra equations obtained from the truth table, the discretized map is implemented with the exclusive logic gate as a real hardware. The discretized tent map circuit which provides the feedback circuit for generating the period-8 states relevant to the 8-bit finite precision is also designed and presented in this paper. Furthermore, it might be used stream cipher system with a new key-stream circuit for generate of chaotic binary sequence.

An optimization problem of AND-EXOR PLA's with input decoders can be regarded as a minimization problem of Exclusive-Or Sum-Of-Products expressions (ESOP's) for multiple-valued input two-valued output functions. In this paper, We propose a minimization algorithm for ESOP's. The algorithm is based on an iterative improvement. Five rules are used to replace a pair of products with another one. We minimized many ESOP's for arithmetic circuits. In most cases, ESOP's required fewer products than SOP's to realized same functions.

The problem of fluctuation-induced digital errors in a rapid single flux quantum (RSFQ) circuit has been a very important issue. In this work, we calculated the bit error rate of an RSFQ switch used in superconductive arithmetic logic unit (ALU). RSFQ switch should have a very low error rate in the optimal bias. Theoretical estimates of the RSFQ error rate are on the order of $10^{-50}$ per bit operation. In this experiment, we prepared two identical circuits placed in parallel. Each circuit was composed of 10 Josephson transmission lines (JTLs) connected in series with an RSFQ switch placed in the middle of the 10 JTLs. We used a splitter to feed the same input signal to both circuits. The outputs of the two circuits were compared with an RSFQ exclusive OR (XOR) to measure the bit error rate of the RSFQ switch. By using a computerized bit-error-rate test setup, we measured the bit error rate of $2.18{\times}10^{-12}$ when the bias to the RSFQ switch was 0.398 mA that was quite off from the optimum bias of 0.6 mA.

This paper presents an algorithm simplifying the ESOP function by several rules. The algorithm is repeatedly performing operations based on the state of each terms by the product transformation operation of two functions and thus it is simplifying the ESOP function through the reduction of the product terms. Through the minimization of the product terms of the multi-valued input binary multi-output function, an optimization of the input has been done using EXOR PLA with input decoder. The algorithm when applied to four valued arithmetic circuit has been used for a EXOR logic circuit design and the two bits input decoder has been used for a EXOR-PLA design. It has been found from a computer simulation(IBM PC486) that the suggested algorithm can reduce the product terms of the output function remarkably regardless of the number of input variables when the variable AND-EXOR PLA is applied to the poperation circuit.

In this paper a method to perform Exclusive-OR operation between two tabular type Boolean expressions is presented. The proposed method allows to solve the switching equations and the simultaneous equations in a rather direct manner, compared with Unger's method.

Purpose - The purpose of this study was to clarify the factors to make an exclusive importation contract between foreign fashion brands and local retailers for successful business in Korea. Even though imported fashion brand market shows stead increasing in terms of sales amount, the number of store related study was very rare in fact. Meanwhile, as long as this business is glowing a lot of brands are suffering from bad business performance or getting in ruins thus these problems result in foreign currency loss. The local marketers therefore, strongly expect to know the solution for this matter. Research design, data, and methodology - For the qualitative research, 10 experts who are operating foreign brands with an exclusive contract at a department store or at duty free shop now and who had at least over 10 years of related working experience were included. The factors for the exclusive importation contract with foreign brands were drawn up through the one-to-one in-depth interview method from September 3, 2017 to January 15, 2018. The expert group for the validity analysis includes 2 professors and 5 postgraduate students. Results - As a result of qualitative study on the factors for imported fashion brand's launching with the exclusive importation contract, it turned out that there were 5 factors - safety, profitability, reliability, speed and global retailing. Safety, profitability, and reliability have been mentioned in most related surveys but some details are added and speed and global retailing have been newly highlighted and many unknown legal issues that it was not easy to get form common academic research are included. Speed simply means quick lead time and global retailing means stores where located in other countries. Conclusions - The reason that qualitative research should be done before the quantitative research is due to the scant theoretical background for this matter. Because the market of an imported fashion brand is steadily increasing, determining the factors to make exclusive importation contract is very meaningful from the point of academic and business. After this study, many marketers may get basic conditions to apply for real business and I hope the following quantitative research will give more effective results. The next study also will have extended range concerning industry area, product and distribution channel.

This study analyzes the impact of exclusive subcontracting on the input, behavior, and output of innovation in manufacturing industries of Korea. Based on the analysis of pooled cross-sectional data of 6,029 small venture firms, this study proved that the exclusive subcontracting between small venture firms and large enterprises are lowering R&D investment of small venture firms. Second, the innovation activities of small venture firms including the ratio of R&D personnel and the scope of cooperation and partnership with external organizations were lower than those of small venture firms that have non-exclusive or no relations with large enterprises. Third, the innovation performance of small venture firms such as the number of patent applications, the ratio of sales by new products, and the cumulative sales growth rate was lower than those of small venture firms that have non-exclusive or no relations with large enterprises. This study verifies that the exclusive subcontracting relationships significantly weaken the innovation process and performance of small venture firms systematically, resulting in a kind of market failure in which small venture firms have almost no incentive to facilitate innovation.

One mid-esophageal carcinoma underwent esophagogastrectomy using an exclusive right thoracic approach entailing mobilization of the stomach through the esophageal hiatus. 62 year old male farmer was admitted with chief complaints of dysphagia and weight loss of 5 Kg. for 6 months, and regurgitation after soft meal for one week prior to this admission. Preoperative esophagogram revealed stricture with fungating mass at the level of the carina, which was diagnosed as squamous cell carcinoma at the time of esophagoscopic biopsy about 33 cm from incisor. Bronchoscopy revealed no invasive lesion or carinal fixation, and laboratory examinations were excellent for operative intervention. An exclusive right thoracic approach through right 5th rib bed was made for radical esophagectomy, mobilization of the stomach through the esophageal hiatus and primary esophagectomy. Postoperative recovery was uneventful except increased bronchial secretion due to senile emphysema, and follow up for 5 months after esophagectomy revealed good functioning esophagus with mild epigastric fullness after meal. Exclusive right thoracic approach for radical esophagectomy seems to be the procedure of choice in selected cases.
