The properties of off-gas generated from vitrification process of ion-exchange resin were characterized. Theoretical composition and flow rate of the off-gas were calculated based on chemical composition of resin and it's burning condition inside CCM. The calculated off-gas flow rate was 67.9Nm$^3$/h at the burning rate of 40kg/h. And the composition of off-gas was avaluated as $CO_2$(41.4%), steam(40.0%), $O_2$(13.3%), NO(3.6%), and SO$_2$(1.6%) in order. Then, actual flow rate and composition of off-gas were measured during pilot-scale demonstration tests and the results were compared with theoretical values. The actual flow rate of off-gas was about 1.6 times higher than theoretical one. The difference between theoretical and actual flow rates was caused by the in-leakage of air to the system, and the in-leakage rate was evaluated as 36.3Nm$^3$/h. Because of continuous change in the combustion parameters inside CCM, during demonstration tests, the concentration of toxic gases showed wide fluctuation. However, the concentration of CO, a barometer of incompleteness of combustion inside CCM, was stabilized soon. The result showed quasi-equilibrium state was achieved two hours after feeding of resin.
Using a stochastic volatility-in-mean VAR model consisting of the KOSPI index, the foreign exchange rate, the government bond rate, and the credit spread, this study investigates the effects of financial market uncertainty on financial markets. We find that higher uncertainty has recessionary effects on financial markets. The effects are especially stronger in equity markets and in won-dollar exchange markets. We also find that the effects of uncertainty become stronger during times of financial market stress compared to normal times. Finally, the results imply that financial market uncertainty may potentially affect the real sector, too.
Purposes: This study aims to investigate the determinants of change-oriented organizational citizenship behavior(CO-OCB) of hospital employees and test the mediating effect of the job satisfaction and organizational commitment on the CO-OCB. Methods: Data were collected from the self-administered questionnaire survey for hospital employees of ten hospitals located in five regions, including Seoul. Out of 1,100 questionnaires which were distributed through the administrative routes, a total of 617 copies were returned(response rate 56.1%) and analyzed by frequency analysis, t-tests, correlation analysis, multiple regression, and path analysis using SPSS 21.0 and AMOS 21.0. Findings: The study results revealed that the explanatory power(56.4%) of the model was most significantly increased by the variables of psychological attributes(R2-change 33,5%). Also, the variables of self-efficacy, followed by hope, the organizational climate for innovation, the psychological safety climate, team-member exchange, and leader-member exchange were found to have positive total effects on CO-OCB, through the mediating variables of job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Practical Implications: The study results imply that, in order to improve the CO-OCB of hospital employees, the administrators have to take the integrated approach considering the various domains of factors including the psychological attributes, job characteristics, interpersonal relations, and organizational climate simultaneously.
In the domestic stock market, the capital market opened in January 1992, and the proportion of foreign capital has steadily increased, accounting for 30% of the domestic market in Overall stock market trend infers that the domestic stock market is more influenced by foreign issues than domestic issues. The trading trend of foreign capital displays a similar flow to exchange rate fluctuations,; thus, preparing an investment strategy by using the Pearson analyzing method the effect of exchange rates of foreign capital trading, fluctuations in exchange rates, and predicting one of the macroeconomic indicators will yield high returns in the stock market. Therefore, this research was conducted to help investment by predicting foreign variables comparing and analyzing exchange rates and foreign capital trading patterns, and predicting appropriate time for buying and selling.
The document discusses the regeneration of Partisil/Partisphere ion-exchange columns in chromatography. It mentions that column efficiency can diminish with use due to the accumulation of sample and/or mobile phase impurities at the head of the column. This can lead to a change in back pressure, lower column efficiency, and sometimes a change in selectivity. The document outlines a procedure that may restore column performance. The document also provides everyday practices to enhance the lifetime of a column. These include using only high-purity HPLC solvents and buffers, using freshly prepared mobile phases and buffers, filtering mobile phases to remove particulates, using appropriate sample clean-up procedures, using a guard column or pre-column filter, and working within the pressure and flow rate limitations of the column. For the regeneration of Partisil/Partisphere SAX, SCX, WAX, and WCX columns, the document suggests passing 20 column volumes of various mobile phases through the column. These include a buffer wash, distilled water, an acid wash, a chelating wash, a methanol wash, and a buffer for separation. The document emphasizes that not all of these wash steps are required for every column clean-up and that some chromatographers require only a combination of certain steps.
Corrosion of reinforcing bars in reinforced concrete structures due to chloride attack in environments containing chloride ions is one of the most important factors in the destruction of concrete structures. According to the abundant reports that the corrosion rate around the repair area has increased due to the macro-cell current known as the incipient anode, it is necessary to understand the effective parameters. The main objective of this paper is to investigate the effect of the kinetic parameters of corrosion including the cathodic Tafel slope, exchange current density, and equilibrium potential in repair materials on the total corrosion rate and maximum corrosion rate in the patch repair system. With the numerical simulation of the patch repair system and concerning the effect of parameters such as electromotive force (substrate concrete activity level), length of repair area, and resistivity of substrate and repair concrete, and with constant other parameters, the sensitivity of the macro-cell current caused by changes in the kinetic parameters of corrosion of the repairing materials has been investigated. The results show that the maximum effect on the macro-cell current values occurred with the change of cathodic Tafel slope, and the effect change of exchange current density and the equilibrium potential is almost the same. In the low repair extant and low resistivity of the repairing materials, with the increase in the electromotive force (degree of substrate concrete activity) of the patch repair system, the sensitivity of the total corrosion current reduces with the reduction in the cathode Tafel slope. The overall corrosion current will be very sensitive to changes in the kinetic parameters of corrosion. The change in the cathodic Tafel slope from 0.16 to 0.12 V/dec and in 300 mV the electromotive force will translate into an increase of 200% of the total corrosion current. While the percentage of this change in currency density and equilibrium potential is 53 and 43 percent, respectively. Moreover, by increasing the electro-motive force, the sensitivity of the total corrosion current decreases or becomes constant. The maximum corrosion does not change significantly based on the modification of the corrosion kinetic parameters and the modification will not affect the maximum corrosion in the repair system. Given that the macro-cell current in addition to the repair geometry is influenced by the sections of reactions of cathodic, anodic, and ohmic drop in repair and base concrete materials, in different parameters depending on the dominance of each section, the sensitivity of the total current and maximum corrosion in each scenario will be different.

The hydriding kinetic mechanism and the change of the hydriding reaction rate of $MmNi_{4.5}Al_{0.5}$ during the thermally induced hydrogen absorption-desorption cycling are investigated. Comparison of the reaction rate data which are obtained by the pressure sweep method with the theoretical rate equations suggests that the hydriding rate controlling step has changed from the dissociative chemisorption of hydrogen molecules at the surface to the hydrogen diffusion through the hydride phase with the increase of the hydriding fraction. These hydriding kinetic mechanism is not changed during the cycling. However, the intrinsic hydriding reaction rate of $MmNi_{4.5}Al_{0.5}$ after 5500 cycles increases significantly comparing with the activated one. It is suggested that the change of the hydriding kinetic behavior due to intrinsic degradation of $MmNi_{4.5}Al_{0.5}$ can be interpreted as follows ; the formation of nickel cluster at the surface of the sample and the host metal atom exchange in bulk by thermal cycling.
For the initially quiescent fluid layer, the principle of the exchange of stabilities for the Marangoni convection due to the impulsive temperature change is proven analytically. Under the linear stability theory, the temperature and vertical velocity disturbances are express as the liner combination of the orthogonal functions. It is shown that the growth rate of the temperature disturbance is the real function for all positive Marangoni numbers.
This study is to identify the internal and external factors of a company that can affect the rate of change in the inventory turnover ratio. In addition, by appropriately managing or responding to these factors, changes in the inventory turnover ratio do not occur abruptly, so that the company's business and financial performance can be improved. To confirm this, factors such as gross profit margin, cash flow volatility, advertising expenses, inflation, exchange rate rise, and leading economic index were selected, and these factors were predicted to affect the change rate of inventory turnover. Data of 85,878 companies were obtained from domestic securities listings, KOSDAQ listings, and externally audited companies, and multiple regression analysis was performed using the data. Gross profit margin and cash flow volatility have a significant positive (+) effect, advertising expenses have a negative (-) significant effect, and inflation and exchange rate rises have a negative (-) significant effect. As an influence, the leading economic index was tested to have a significant positive (+) effect. Through this, it is suggested that manufacturing companies can improve their business performance and achieve operational efficiency by well understanding and appropriately managing factors that can affect the change rate of inventory turnover.

A dynamic system model of a proton exchange membrane fuel cell(PEMFC) has been developed. The PEMFC of this study has large active area with water cooling in order to simulate the performance of the commercially viable PEMFC system for the transportation. A PEMFC stack model is a transient thermal model which is respond to the dynamic change of the coolant temperature and the flow rate. The dynamic cooling system model has been developed to determine the coolant flow rate and the coolant temperature. Prior to the system level study, thermal management criteria have been set up and brought to the control command of the cooling system. Since the system model is designed to evaluate the effect of thermal management on the system performance, it is attempted to determine the proper control algorithm of the cooling system so that the PEMFC system is working on the thermal management criteria. As a result of simulation, feedback controlled cooling system consumes less power and produce more power comparing with that of conventionally controlled cooling system.
