Electrochemical reduction of nitrobenzene and substituted nitrobenzenes on lead electrode was studied by galvano-static measurements and cyclic voltammetry in basic ethanol-water solvents. Nitroso compounds or hydroxylamines were detected as the main reduction product depending on the potential. Mechanisms of production and further reduction of substituted and unsubstituted nitrosobenzenes are deduced from Tafel slope, pH dependence and reaction order. The reduction of most of the substituted nitrobenzenes to corresponding nitrosobenzene derivatives seemed to follow the reaction mechanism of nitrobenzene reduction with a few exceptions. A Hammett type relationship between the magnitude of the reduction current and the kinds of substituents was found with the ${\rho}$ value of 0.54.

It is expected that the change of industrial structure of Knowledge based economy, and service based economy would affect on economic life of physically-challenged person with no exceptions. There have been some former studies which have been misunderstood the employment of disabled due to the declining employment of the disabled and prejudice to the disabled based on biased perspective and public opinion. This study have analyzed the employment conditions of the ordinary workers and disabled workers out of those prejudices and biased opinions. Wage, economic activity ratio, age, educational background and industry those 5 parameters are brought for analyzing the two comparison group. Each parameter have compared based on the statistical data of ordinary workers and disabled workers for past 7 years. Weight between each parameter have been drawn by collecting the experts' opinion using AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process), and utility of employment of two comparison groups have been estimated through progress inclination of each parameter. Through the estimated outcome, present condition and controversial issues and way of improvement of domestic employment of ordinary workers and the disabled is mentioned.

This paper seeks to provide a comprehensive review of the international rules of law on the obligations of confidentiality and its exceptions in international commercial arbitration, including the Riddick principle stemming from the common law jurisdiction. To this end, this article examines and analyzes developed countries' arbitration legislation including relevant case laws and the most recent leading institutional rules. Given the fact that the increasing use of discovery in international commercial arbitration and that the parties and practitioners in civil law countries are not familiar with the concept of the Riddick principle and its implied undertaking to a court, this article introduces the concept of the Riddick principle with some analysis for the recent case laws. Finally, this paper makes some suggestions to strengthen the compliance of confidentiality in international commercial arbitration by introducing new rules on confidentiality, inter alia, sanctions for breaching of the obligations of confidentiality.

The import control provision of US MSA (Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act) IUU fishing is similar to that of MMPA (The Marine Mammal Protection Act of 1972 as Amended) which caused US-Tuna(1991) case. This paper examines whether MSA's import control provision can be found to be inconsistent with WTO agreement. There is no doubt that MSA violates the Article XI:1 of the GATT 1994. The only remaining issue is whether US IUU fishing product measure is justified by the Article XX(g) and its Chapeau. However, Article XX(g) provides for a limited and conditional exception from obligations under other provisions. This paper concludes that the US MSA measure can not be justified under Article XX.

Object detection and tracking is an exciting and interesting research area in the field of computer vision, and its technologies have been widely used in various application systems such as surveillance, military, and augmented reality. This paper proposes and implements a novel and more robust object recognition and tracking system to localize and track multiple objects from input images, which estimates target state using the likelihoods obtained from multiple CNNs. As the experimental result, the proposed algorithm is effective to handle multi-modal target appearances and other exceptions.

Cyclic voltammetric behavior of symmetric (dimethyl, diheptyl, dioctyl, dibenzyl) and asymmetric (methyloctyl, methyldodecyl, methylbenzyl) viologens was investigated in homogeneous aqueous solution and sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) micellar media. In SDS-free 0.1 M NaCl solutions, the reduction potential is less negative as the chain length of alkyl substituent is longer. This is due to the stabilization of the reduced cationic radical and neutral form of viologen by adsorption on electrode surface. The adsorbed species show the "aging-effect". With the exceptions of methyldodecyl viologen and methylbenzyl viologen, the viologens show strong tendency of conproportionation reaction between viologen dications and neutral forms. In cases of methyldodecyl viologen and methylbenzyl viologen, the conproportionation reaction is kinetically disfavored, though it is thermodynamically favorable. SDS micelles dissolve the adsorbed species and the viologens exhibit two reversible redox processes in SDS micellar solutions. The reduction potentials of viologens in SDS micellar solutions depend little on the length of alkyl chain. Benzyl-substituted viologens are more easily reduced than the alkyl substituted viologens, presumably due to electron-withdrawing character of benzyl group.

Although the WTO has fulfilled several key tasks it was set up to do - providing periodic reviews of members' trade policies, resolving disputes, supporting negotiations - with the notable exceptions of the Trade Facilitation and Information Technology agreements, WTO members have not been able to negotiate new rules on "bread and butter" trade policies. The importance of doing so was illustrated by the COVID-19 pandemic which saw widespread uncoordinated recourse to trade policy instruments. This paper highlights four reforms that would bolster the effectiveness of the WTO as a forum for trade cooperation: (1) improving collection and reporting of information on trade-related policies; (2) supporting analysis-informed deliberation to establish a common understanding of the need and scope for cooperation in specific policy areas; (3) putting in place a stronger multilateral governance framework for plurilateral cooperation between groups of WTO members; and (4) reestablishing an effective dispute settlement system.

Let 2u_K be the number of roots of unity contained in K. Gross and Zagier conjectured that if P_K has infinite order in E(K), then the integer c · m · u_K · |III(E/K)| $\frac{1}{2}$ is divisible by |E(ℚ)_tor|. In this paper, we prove that this conjecture is true if E(ℚ)_tor ≅ ℤ/2ℤ or ℤ/4ℤ except for two explicit families of curves. Further, we show these exceptions can be removed under Stein-Watkins conjecture.

An 11-year-old spayed female Maltese dog presented with mass in oral cavity. On conscious oral examination, the right maxillary canine tooth was not visible, and a lesion has been suspected of mass existed in canine tooth area. The adjacent maxillary first premolar was buried in the lesion, with a little part of the tooth exceptions. On radiographic examination, the canine tooth was buried horizontally in the lesion, and the root part was adjacent to the first premolar tooth. Extraction was performed for a treatment. When the lesion was incised, the canine tooth was horizontal with the concave surface facing the palatal, and formed double teeth by fusing with the premolar tooth at the roots parts of the teeth. This report described the double teeth in the dentigerous cyst rarely reported in dogs.

This paper reviewed "unconscionability" as an exception to the independence principle of bank guarantees. Apart from fraud which has been recognized in most international jurisdictions, Uuconscionability would also be recognized as the exception to the legal principle, the so-called "fraud rule" or "an abuse of rights." Unconscionability exception is applied in the same manner as fraud and other exceptions to the principle of independence. The exception should allow guarantor to dishonor the drawings that abuse the independence principle. However, outright or manifest facts of the unconscionability must be established in order to apply the exception. Lots of arguments or conflicts may be caused in applying the unconscionability exception. Therefore, this study aims to prevent institutional abuses or to reduce the disputes from setting up the legitimate scope and standard for application of the exception by reviewing these procedural issues and problems under bank guarantee transactions. This paper also suggested practical implications and countermeasures for the institutional application.
