The evolution of the mining-induced fracture network formed during longwall top coal caving (LTCC) has a great influence on the gas drainage, roof control, top coal recovery ratio and engineering safety of aquifers. To reveal the evolution of the mining-induced stress and fracture network formed during LTCC, the fracture network in front of the working face was observed by borehole video experiments. A discrete element model was established by the universal discrete element code (UDEC) to explore the local stress distribution. The regression relationship between the fractal dimension of the fracture network and mining stress was established. The results revealed the following: (1) The mining disturbance had the most severe impact on the borehole depth range between approximately 10 m and 25 m. (2) The distribution of fractures was related to the lithology and its integrity. The coal seam was mainly microfractures, which formed a complex fracture network. The hard rock stratum was mainly included longitudinal cracks and separated fissures. (3) Through a numerical simulation, the stress distribution in front of the mining face and the development of the fracturing of the overlying rock were obtained. There was a quadratic relationship between the fractal dimension of the fractures and the mining stress. The results obtained herein will provide a reference for engineering projects under similar geological conditions.
Both hydrogenase and nitrogenase were found to be involved in hydrogen evolution independently in Rhodopseudomonas sp. KCTC 1437. The hydrogen formation in this bacterium was independent on light illumination and presence of N $H_4^{+}$ After establishment of conditions to measure the amount of hydrogen evolved by each of the enzymes in vivo, the several factors affecting on the hydrogen evolution, e.g. presence of gases ( $C_2$$H_2$, $H_2$, $O_2$ or $N_2$), C/N ratio, were investigated, Hydrogenase was less inhibited than nitrogenase under $O_2$ and was active independent on the presence of $N_2$ or $C_2$$H_2$ which were the strong inhibitor of nitrogenase. Besides, the hydrogenase activity was increased after incubation with $H_2$. And it was verified that this bacterium consume hydrogen and photoreduce $CO_2$ by hydrogenase. From above results, it is concluded that hydrogenase in Rhodopseudomonas sp. KCTC 1437 can produce hydrogen under more favorable condition that nitrogenase.e.

In recent, the LTE(Long-Term Evolution) mobile communication system has been commercialized and a variety of service is being provided. Comparing to the old wireless access systems such as 3G mobile communications, in particular, the LTE system supports a service requiring a high transmission rate by providing broadband wireless access. In order to understand the possibility of successful support of a multimedia service such as IPTV(Internet Protocol Television) through the LTE system, it is necessary to understand the mechanism that decides the transmission rate supported by the LTE system. This paper, therefore, discusses on the relationship between a number of metrics such as CQI and BLER that affects the transmission rate with the measurement results from the field tests.
In this study, to find out the reason of deterioration in surface roughness of steel and cast iron after Tufftride, it has been investigated on the relation between the surface roughness and various factors such as the evolution of compound layer, surface morphology, and surface hardness, and change of pore ratio in the compound layer during Tufftride at $580^{\circ}C$. It is found that the surface roughness was increased with the evolution of compound layer during Tufftride of steel and cast iron. The change of surface roughness after Tufftride was reduced with decreasing tho content of carbon and cementite ($Fe_3C$) in the materials. in the cast irons, the various shaped graphites that was exposed to the surface should induce the discontinuous growth of the compound layer, and this resulted in the incoherent interfaces between matrix and compound layer and the deterioration of surface roughness. In the steels, the existence of cementites in the matrix resulted in the incoherent interfaces between matrix and compound layer. It is considered that during Tufftride the surface roughness must be mainly influenced by the formation of the incoherent interface between compound layer and matrix that is affected by some factors such as the microstructure, the composition, and the hardness of the matrix.

A differential-cascode CMOS power amplifier (PA) with a supply modulator for envelope tracking (ET) has been implemented by 0.18 ${\mu}m$ RF CMOS technology. The loss at the output is minimized by implementing the output transformer on a FR-4 printed circuit board (PCB). The CMOS PA utilizes the $2^{nd}$ harmonic short at the input to enhance the linearity. The measurement was done by the 10MHz bandwidth 16QAM 6.88 dB peak-to-average power ratio long-term evolution (LTE) signal at 1.85 GHz. The ET operation of the CMOS PA with the supply modulator enhances the power-added efficiency (PAE) by 2.5, to 10% over the stand-alone CMOS PA for the LTE signal. The ET PA achieves a PAE of 36.5% and an $ACLR_{E-UTRA}$ of -32.7 dBc at an average output power of 27 dBm.
Effect of the particle size of $MgTiO_3$ and $CaTiO_3$ on the microstructural evolution during sintering of $0.93MgTiO_3-0.07CaTiO_3$ system was investigated. Microwave dielectric characteristics of the sintered ceramics were also measured. The microstructural evolutions were explained with an emphasis on the entrapping behavior of $CaTiO_3$ grain into the $MgTiO_3$ grain and were correlated with microwave dielectric characteristics. With an increasing particle size ratio between $CaTiO_3$and $MgTiO_3$, the fraction of entraped $CaTiO_3$ grains increased, which grain growth of $MgTiO_3$were concurrently accelerated due to decreasing drag force of its boundary migration. Besides, $CaTiO_3$-grain entrapment into the $MgTiO_3$grain interior led to decreaseing quality factor values.
In spite of progress in predicting ductile failure, the development of a macroscopic yield criterion to describe damage evolution in HCP (hexagonal close-packed) materials remains a challenge. HCP materials display strength differential effects (i.e., different behavior in tension versus compression) in their plastic response due to twinning. Cazacu and Stewart(2009) developed an analytical yield criterion for porous material containing randomly distributed spherical voids in an isotropic, incompressible matrix that shows tension-compression asymmetry. The goal of the calculations in this paper is to investigate the effect of the tension-compression asymmetry on necking induced by void nucleation, evolution and consolidation. In order to investigate the effect of the tension-compression asymmetry of the matrix on necking and fracture initiation, three isotropic materials A, B, and C were examined with different ratios of tension-compression asymmetry. The various types of material had BCC, FCC, and HCP crystal structures, respectively. The ratio between tension and compression in plastic flow significantly influences the fracture shape produced by damage propagation as well as affecting the localized neck.

Computer simulation is essential to design the suspension elements of railway vehicle. By computer simulation, engineers can assess the feasibility of a given design factors and change them to get a better design. But if one wishes to perform complex analysis on the simulation, such as railway vehicle dynamic, the computational time can become overwhelming. Therefore, many researchers have used a mega model that has a regression model made by sampling data through simulation. In this paper, the neural network is used a mega model that have twenty-nine design variables and forty-six responses. After this mega model is constructed, multi-objective optimal solutions are achieved by using the differential evolution. This paper shows that this optimization method using the neural network and the differential evolution is a very efficient tool to solve the complex optimization problem.
We studied the water splitting into $H_2$ and $O_2$ using two different semiconductor photo catalysts and redox mediator, mimicking the Z-scheme mechanism of the photosynthesis, $H_2$ evolution took place on a Pt-$SrTiO_2$ (Cr-Ta doped) photocatalyst using $I^-$ electron donor under the visible light irradiation. The Pt-$WO_3$ photocatalyst showed an excellent activity of the $O_2$ evolution using $IO_3^-$ electron acceptor under visible light. $H_2$ and $O_2$ gases evolved in the stoichiometric ratio($H_2/O_2$=2) under visible light using a mixture of the Pt-$WO_3$ and Pt-$SrTiO_3$ (Cr-Ta doped) suspended in NaI aqueous solution. We proposed a two-step photo-excitation mechanism using redox mediator under the visible irradiation.

Cube textured Ni substrate were fabricated for YBCO coated conductors from the initial specimens prepared by powder metallurgy (P/M) and casting and the effects of annealing temperature and reduction ratio on texture formation and microstructural evolution were evaluated. The initial specimens were rolled and then annealed in the temperature at $600^{\circ}C{\sim}1200^{\circ}C$. A strong cube texture formed for P/M substrate, and the degree of texture did not significantly vary with annealing temperature of $600^{\circ}C{\sim}1100^{\circ}C$. On the other hand, the texture of casting substrate was more dependent on the annealing temperature and twin texture and several minor texture components started to form at $1000^{\circ}C$.
