초포화계획을 평가하기 위한 그래픽방법 (Graphical Methods for Evaluating Supersaturated Designs)

  • 직교성은 실험계획에서 중요한 개념이다. 실험계획에서 실험점의 개수보다 인자의 개수가 많은 상황에서 우리는 초포화계획을 사용한다. 이러한 초포화계획은 직교성을 만족하지 못하게 되는 데 얼마나 직교성을 만족하는 지를 평가하는 데 우리는 주로 수치적인 측도들을 사용한다. 우리는 초포화계획의 직교성의 정도를 평가하는 방법으로서 그래픽방법을 사용할 수 있다.

  • Recently the design of multi-stage gear drive is being highly concerned. Until now, since the researches of gear drive are focused on the design for satisfying safety factor, the reliability evaluation of multi-stage gear drive is not included. In this paper, the life and reliability models of multi-stage gear drive are proposed using methods of probability and statistics. The life and reliability of the multi-stage gear drive have been evaluated, which is based on the life and reliability of each stage gear drive. The pinion and gear lives of each stage are calculated using the Lundberg-Palmgren theory and the Weibull failure distribution. These lives are combined using methods of probability and statistics to produce a life and reliability model of multi-stage gear drive.

Meta Analysis of Usability Experimental Research Using New Bi-Clustering Algorithm

  • Usability evaluation(UE) experiments are conducted to provide UE practitioners with guidelines for better outcomes. In UE research, significant quantities of empirical results have been accumulated in the past decades. While those results have been anticipated to integrate for producing generalized guidelines, traditional meta-analysis has limitations to combine UE empirical results that often show considerable heterogeneity. In this study, a new data mining method called weighted bi-clustering(WBC) was proposed to partition heterogeneous studies into homogeneous subsets. We applied the WBC to UE empirical results and identified two homogeneous subsets, each of which can be meta-analyzed. In addition, interactions between experimental conditions and UE methods were hypothesized based on the resulting partition and some interactions were confirmed via statistical tests.

  • Reliability measures of questionnaire and ${\chi}^2$ contingency tests of categorized responses are most practical tools to analyze the characteristics of subjects of survey study. This research evaluates the Cronbaha's reliability measures by using Repeated Measure Design (RMD) with illustrated MINITAB examples. In addition, ${\chi}^2$ statistics of each cell of categorized tables can be effectively interpreted with the symmetric plot of correspondence analysis. The practical example is also discussed to provide comprehensive understanding of topic.

Acceptable Values of Kappa for Comparison of Two Groups

  • A model was developed for a simple clinical trial in which graders had defined probabilities of misclassifying pathologic material to disease present or absent. The authors compared Kappa between graders, and efficiency and bias in the clinical trial in the presence of misclassification. Though related to bias and efficiency, Kappa did not predict these two statistics well. These results pertain generally to evaluation of systems for encoding medical information, and the relevance of Kappa in determining whether such systems are ready for use in comparative studies. The authors conclude that, by itself, Kappa is not informative Enough to evaluate the appropriateness of a grading scheme for comparative studies. Additional, and perhaps difficult, questions must be addressed for such evaluation.

A Study on LED Lighting Control according to Sleep Stage using PPG Sensor of Wearable Device

  • Recently, as the sleep disorder problem of modern people deepens, the interest towards quality of sleep is increasing. To increase the quality of modern people's sleep. This paper has suggested an LED lighting control system according to the sleep stage using PPG sensors of wearable devices. The pulse of the wrist radial artery was measured using a wearable device mounted with PPG sensor, which enables heart rate-measuring, and by using the point that heart rate lowers during stable sleep than non-sleeping, the LED lighting of indoors was controlled, which is the disturbing element when sleeping. For the performance evaluation, a 10-Fold cross analysis was conducted for performance evaluation, and a result of an average accuracy 87.02% was obtained as a result. Therefore, the LED lighting control system according to the sleep stage using a wearable device of this paper is expected to contribute to raise the quality of the user's life.

다항판별지수와 검정통계량 제안 (Proposition of polytomous discrimination index and test statistics)

  • 현실세계의 예측 문제에서 세 범주 이상의 결과로 예측되는 경우가 많다. 이러한 경우에 대한 기존의 문헌연구에서는 부합성을 짝 접근방법으로 활용한 통계량은 범주의 뚜렷한 구분 없이 표현되었다. 최근 새롭게 표현한 평가자료와 이를 바탕으로 부합성을 재표현하여 통계량들을 새롭게 정의함으로써 직관적으로 의미 파악이 가능해졌지만 통계량들의 판단기준이 구체적이지 않은 문제점을 갖고 있다. 또한 이 통계량들은 가능한 부합성의 짝으로 구성되었지만 실제범주들간에서 예측범주들의 부합성을 추가적으로 고려할 수 있기에 이를 포함한 두 가지 통계량을 제안하였다. 제안한 통계량은 선택된 두 범주로부터 모든 가능한 경우들 사이를 판별하는 장점이 있다. 본 연구에서 제안한 두 가지 통계량은 지시함수로 표현되므로 비모수적 통계량으로 변환할 수 있다. 그러므로 부합성 통계량을 가설검정 방법으로 사용할 수 있음을 제안한다.

캐주얼 의류 광고의 평가가 광고태도 및 구매의도에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Advertising Evaluation on Advertising Attitude and Buying Intension for Casual Wear Advertisements)

  • The purposes of this study were to identify the dimensions of advertising evaluation and to examine the influence of advertising evaluation on advertising attitude and buying intension. Also this study categorized the advertising responses. Through the pretest, 15 casual wear brand's advertisements were selected and presented as stimuli. The data was collected from 377 female university students using questionnaire and analyzed by descriptive statistics, factor analysis and multiple regression fer path analysis. The results of This study were as follows. First, 5 factors were identified for the dimensions of advertising evaluation: model/message/product/brand/tone & manner. Second, through the path analysis, advertising evaluation had direct and indirect influences on buying intension. The influences of dimensions of advertising evaluation on buying intension were also examined: model, message and product had indirect influence on buying intension mediated by advertising attitude, whereas product and brand had direct influence on buying intension. Especially, product affected considerably on buying intension. Third, advertising responses were categorized into five dimensions: tone & manner/model/message/product/brand.

항암제 유발 말초신경병증 변증평가도구의 신뢰도 및 타당도 평가 (Reliability and Validity Analysis of an Instrument for Pattern Identification and Evaluation in Chemotherapy-Induced Peripheral Neuropathy)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the reliability and validity of an instrument for pattern identification and evaluation in chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN).Methods: The study consisted of 66 patients with CIPN (visual analog scale ≥30 mm, Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group ≤2). The test-retest reliability of the instrument for pattern identification and evaluation in CIPN was tested twice with the same patients in one week.Results: Pearson’s coefficient test-retest reliability of the instrument was 0.601-0.777. The internal reliability of each part was 0.619-0.811. To confirm the validity of the instrument for pattern identification and evaluation for CIPN, the correlation between the score for each identification pattern and that of other CIPN instruments was analyzed. The results revealed a positive correlation between the Functional Assessment of Cancer Therapy-General and CIPN-20.Conclusion: The reliability of the instrument for pattern identification and evaluation in CIPN was moderate, and the validity analysis revealed a positive correlation.
