  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate site-based environmental education(EE) programs. For the evaluation, an evaluation chart was developed. The chart was consisted of twenty evaluation items in the following six categories : 'goals & objectives', 'instructional planning', 'instruction', 'learning outcomes & evaluation', 'features of program', and 'program operation'. One hundred sixty five site-based EE programs, funded by the Korean Ministry of Environment in 2000, were evaluated. After the evaluation, the programs were also categorized and analyzed according to regions, organizations, and amount of funds. The results indicated that awareness, participation, and attitude were addressed in the purpose of the programs, while knowledge and skills were not. The diversity of activities and teaching strategies of the programs were insufficient. Cultural aspects, fairness, originality, and accuracy were also insufficiently addressed. Assessment and evaluation of such programs were needed to be considered to a larger degree. From the analysis of programs according to categories, Choongbuk province in the regional aspect and schools in the organizational aspect got higher scores than others. Overall, the more funding the program received, the higher score it got in evaluation. Some improvements and strategies for activating site-based EE were recommended based on the result of the evaluation.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop an evaluation index for evaluating the economic value of libraries. To this end, a preliminary evaluation index was derived from analyzing a total of approximately 60 domestic and foreign papers that examined the value of libraries. Based on the derived preliminary evaluation index, 11 experts were selected and the final evaluation index was developed by conducting the Delphi survey for 3 times. The final evaluation index consists of four evaluation areas, such as the economic value of the public library, economic revitalization, manpower development and job creation, and the improved investment value, seven evaluation items, and 22 evaluation indices. In the future, it will be necessary to conduct research to measure the economic value of public libraries.

  • This paper focuses to find out and analyse the influence of evaluation and image of government technology development programs on the outcome. A comprehensive survey of domestic technology-intensive industry was carried out. Through the results of this survey, we can understand and find out the impotance of the image and evaluation of the programs taken by the firms. We could find out, however, that the output of the technology development of the enerprises is one thing and outcome in the level of society is another, especially as for the influences of evaluation on the performances. In this regard, we could draw several policy implications as well as discussions.

  • The Republic of Korea has a close cooperative relationship with NATO, of which the United States is a member. NATO is encouraged to follow UHF coalition waveforms for military air operations(SATURN) as defined in STANAG 4372. SATURN is a high-speed frequency hopping waveform with enhanced anti-jamming and security functions. Plans to improve the performance of existing military aircraft with air to ground radios to which SATURN function is applied. IFF case analysis and MRT evaluation plan were established to present an efficient test and evaluation plan for air to ground radios.

  • The Durability cycle is very important for the success of vehicle testing to evaluate Retarder. The purpose of this study is to develop the durability mode on performance evaluation of retarder. Commercial vehicles are equipped with an auxiliary braking device in order to increase safety. A typical device for retarder depends heavily on imports. Domestic development has now become an urgent task. But, No state has an evaluation method for performance evaluation of the auxiliary braking device. We presented the durability test mode for the performance evaluation of the retarder was verified experimentally.

  • Efficiency evaluation methods of manufacturing processes have relied on absolute measures such as defective rate and throughput per person, ignoring various process characteristics. To overcome the limitation, we propose an evaluation model which reflects characteristics of each process. It is composed of three measures : utilization, performance, and improvement. The suggested model utilizes a combination of DEA and AHP methods. The proposed method has been applied to efficiency evaluation of cellular phone case manufacturing processes.

  • Evaluating a project is one of the key activities in managing projects, and thus it should be implemented as a part of the entire project management system. However, currently deployed systems suffer from deficiencies such as the lack of supporting distributed environment and integrity problems. Web service technology, which enables applications to work inter-operatively under a distributed computing environment, is said to solve such problems. In this paper, the web service technology is applied to evaluation management systems. The process of evaluation is designed based on the web service, data is modeled and a pilot system is implemented to test the feasibility of the technology to the domain of project evaluation.

  • In the past decade, considerable effort has been devoted unsuccessfully to the development of information technology (IT) evaluation frameworks in the information systems area. Based on the literature review in this area and the decision analysis field, two competing evaluation frameworks are developed in this study: the direct evaluation framework and the indirect evaluation framework. A case study on Firm K shows that the latter is more practically efficient and theoretically appropriate but requires the adequate training for practitioners in order not to get confused the weight of an evaluation variable with the product of this weight and the score of the variable. Another finding is that Weill's conversion effectiveness is neither possible nor necessary to measure in the process of evaluating an IT although it is in theory an important concept.

  • This paper compares OECD nations by developing a comprehensive evaluation index that examines the efforts and achievements of countries toward Low-Carbon Green Growth. The input-process-output of a Low-Carbon Society system is in dynamic competition with that of a High-Carbon Society system. The model used in this study of the comprehensive evaluation index for Low-Carbon Green Growth was comprised of Large indices such as Input, Process, and Output. The Input and Output consisted of 'Social-economic' and 'Physical-ecological' Middle indices while the Process was made up of 'Stimulation mechanisms' and 'Participation of stakeholders and Knowledge flow' Middle indices. In order to calculate the comprehensive evaluation index, our model gave a weight to each indicator/index and applied a weighted arithmetic mean. Korea ranked $15^{th}$ out of 30 OECD nations in the comprehensive evaluation that analyzed Input ($14^{th}$), Process ($18^{th}$), and Output ($17^{th}$). The top five nations were Switzerland, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, and France; while Japan was $8^{th}$ and the USA $26^{th}$.
