This paper proposes a new model to· evaluate the effectiveness of websites using balanced scorecard (BSC) and weighted formula based methods.fisrt, we Use BSC method to find out the cause-and-effect relationships between the measure and website activities, and our proposed model evaluates website performance from six perspectives: business value, operational excellence, customer value, website interface, management, maintenance, and learning and innovation. Next, we usedformula-based approach to identify what makes website performance low by developing the evaluation formula through investigating website users; finally, case studies of two famous websites are given to show how our method can be used Our evaluation model can not only evaluate website performance but also suggest how to improve performance.

Customer satisfaction is becoming an increasingly salient topic in many firms and in academic research. One main rationale behind this interest is that customer satisfaction is believed to be associated with fruitful customer re-visit from the firm's point of view. Some country already had index models which can measure the degree of customer satisfaction. But, such models are ordinary models which used generally the scope of nation-wide /industry. Therefore, we needs some modifications to measure customer satisfaction for specific product & service and to provide the valuable feedback to specific firms. In this Perspectives, this study will evaluate the customer satisfaction index about automobile company and analyze it's result for valuable feedback. This study will present a model for an integrated customer satisfaction evaluation system which used structural equation modeling. Through this study, we anticipate that it will offer the measuring method about customer satisfaction and some guideline for product design process.

This research was focused on evaluating the intervention program for preventing the recurrence of conjugal violence. It was based on family system perspectives because the conjugal violence was considered as the result of dysfunctional interactions between spouses. Especially, a follow-up study was conducted by the telephone interview one year later after the program ended. There were some findings as follows: First, the physical violent behaviors never reoccurred, but the verbal ones still continued. Second, this program had an effect on decreasing the recurrence of conjugal violence.

In this study we developed a framework to evaluate environmental education programs through lived experience in nature and the framework was applied to a neat case,'2001 Green Camp'. The framework consists of 4 items; goals and objectives, instructional planning, teaching and learning, methods and learning operation and environment. Learning outcomes such as changes to the levels of knowledge, attitude, participation and environmental sensitivity are not included in the evaluation framework but evaluated through direct questions to students. Two researchers observed and evaluated programs with the framework. This study reflected various perspectives of researchers, teachers, students and staff members.

This paper presents an efficient algorithm for evaluating the Profit and revenue of generating units in a competitive electricity market based on the probabilistic production costing technique. The accurate evaluation of the profit and revenue of generating units for long-term perspectives is one of the most important issues in a competitive electricity market environment. For efficient calculation of the profit and revenue of generating units under the equivalent load duration curve(ELDC), a new approach to figure out the marginal plants and the corresponding market clearing prices during a time period in a probabilistic manner is developed. The mathematical formulation and illustrative application of the suggested method is presented.

The purpose of this study is to assess the changes that occur to pre-service mathematics teachers by using survey on the self-reflection during their education practices. For four weeks of the education practice period, the changes to pre-service teachers are analyzed from teaching and learning perspectives. The teaching perspective is sub-categorized into lesson contents, teaching methods, and evaluation on teaching, and the learning perspective is sub-categorized into monitoring on learning, support for learning and evaluation on learning. The analysis shows that significant changes occur in teaching contents from the teaching perspective and in all the sub-categories from the learning perspective. Based on the analysis, preservice teachers are suggested to utilize self-reflection programs during their education practices to promote their professionalism in teaching.

Knowledge can be more meaningful when it is shaped and personalized through interaction with others. Implementation of open learning environments such as open courseware or shared knowledge communities has gradually become more common. A case study which investigated instructors' experiences and perceptions of publishing and using open courseware in the classroom was conducted at a university in Korea. Responses from participating students and an evaluation group regarding how they perceived open learning environments were also examined. Based on the inductive analysis of the data, this study discusses advantages and challenges of publishing open courseware and collaborative learning environments. Also, practical guidelines for developing reusable learning materials are suggested.

기존의 여러 연구들에서 디지털 도서관 평가를 위한 기준들이 제시되어 왔으나, 대부분의 연구에서 평가기준에 대한 이용자 관점을 이해하려는 노력이 부족하였다. 본 연구는 디지털 도서관 평가 기준들에 대한 이용자들의 의견을 미국 내 5개 대학교에서 10명의 교수 이용자와 20명의 학생 이용자에게 설문을 통해 직접 조사하였다. 설문 참여자들은 본 연구진에 의해 제시된 8개 영역 (장서, 정보조직, 맥락 등) 내 평가 기준들의 중요성에 대해 7점 척도로 응답하였다. 설문의 결과는 이용자들이 장서의 이용과 품질, 서비스와 관련된 항목들을 도서관 운영항목에 비해 상대적으로 더 중요하게 생각하고 있었음을 보여주었다. 본 연구의 결과는 이용자 중심의 디지털 도서관 개발과 관련하여 이용자의 요구와 선호를 반영하는 도서관 평가체계 구축에 도움이 될 것이다.

OECD에서 주관한 국제 비교 연구인 PISA는 만 15세 학생들의 과학적 소양을 평가하는 최초의 국제비교 연구란 점에서 의미가 크다. 35개의 PISA 과학문항에 대한 정답율 결과를 중심으로 우리 나라 학생들의 과학적 소양 성취도를 살펴본 결과, 다음과 같은 경향이 나타났다. 첫째, 과학의 적용 영역별로 살펴보면, 과학 기술, 생명 건강 과학, 지구 환경 과학 순으로 성취도가 높았고, 이 세 영역 모두 남학생이 여학생보다 유의미하게 높은 성취도가 나타났다. 둘째, 과학 지식보다는 과학 탐구에서 유의미하게 높은 성취도가 나타났으며, 특히 과학 지식 문항에 있어서 남학생이 여학생보다 유의미하게 높은 성취 결과를 보였다. 한편, 여학생들은 과학 탐구 문항에서 남학생들에 비해 상대적으로 높은 성취 결과를 보였다. 셋째, 상황별로 살펴보면, 역사적 상황에서 가장 높은 성취 결과를 보였고 개인적 상황에서 가장 낮은 성취수준을 보였다. 지역 공동체 및 지구적 상황의 문항에서 남학생들이 여학생들보다 유의미하게 높은 성취결과를 보인 반면, 개인적 상황의 문항에서는 여학생들이 남학생들보다 다소 높은 성취 결과가 나타났다. 넷째, 문항의 유형별로 살펴보면, 서술형보다는 선택형 문항에서 유의미하게 높은 성취 결과가 나타났고, 선다형과 진위형을 포함한 선택형 문항에서 남학생들이 여학생들보다 유의미하게 높은 성취 결과를 보였다. 한편, 우리 나라 학생들은 생명 공학과 환경에 관련된 문항에서 낮은 성취 결과가 나타났고, 특히 여학생의 경우 이러한 경향이 더욱 두드러졌다. 전반적으로 모든 측면에서 남학생의 성취도가 여학생보다 의미 있게 높았지만, 과학 탐구 문항에서는 여학생과 남학생 사이에 의미 있는 성취도 차이가 나타나지 않았고, 긴 문장의 서술이 필요한 문항에서는 여학생이 남학생보다 의미 있게 높은 성취도를 나타냈다.

9.11 테러 이전에는 동남아시아는 상대적으로 테러의 무풍지대로 인식되어 왔다. 그러나 2000년대에 들어서면서 테러의 새로운 중심지로 부상하고 있다. 9.11 테러 이후 국제사회는 동남아시아의 테러단체와 알카에다의 관계에 대해 주목하면서 동남아시아가 알카에다를 포함한 수많은 테러조직의 본거지로 변모할 가능성에 대한 분석을 내놓기 시작했다. 전문가들 역시 동남아시아가 테러의 태동지이며, 화약고였던 중동지역에 못지않은 알카에다의 주요 활동지역이며, 앞으로 동남아시아에서 이슬람원리주의 테러조직과 연계된 테러조직의 활동이 더욱 커질 것 이라 지적해 왔다. 알카에다와 강한 테러 네트워크를 구성하고 있는 제마 이슬라미아, 그리고 아부 사에프 그룹 등과 같은 테러조직의 활동이 강화되고 있으며, 국제 교류와 국제간의 주요 무역로인 해상 수송을 위협하는 해적행위 등으로 인해 동남아시아는 새로운 테러의 중심지로 등장하고 있는 상황이다. 전 세계가 테러에 대한 공포로 시달리고 있는 상황에서 동남아시아에서의 테러리즘 확산은 주목할 만한 현상이며, 깊은 연구가 필요할 것이다. 이에 따라 본 연구의 목적은 동남아시아의 테러리즘에 대한 자료를 분석함으로써, 동남아시아가 새로운 테러의 진원지로 등장할 가능성을 전망하는 데 있다.
