As the international-level concern has been focused on the environmental sustainability in recent years, many researches emphasized the needs for methods and techniques that would facilitate sustainability assessment at the various project level interfaces. As part of methods and techniques to facilitate sustainability assessment, this paper provides 'Computerized Waste Management Performance Evaluation Tool' for the purpose of assessing the level of management system in dealing with the onsite construction wastes. This tool applies twenty-three waste management performance factors for the purpose of evaluating the level of waste management performance by scoring those factors which were identified in the previous research. These twenty-three factors are classified into four categories: manpower, material, method, and management based on their characteristics. In order to quantitatively evaluate the effectiveness of waste management performance, the levels of actions executed in a site by each waste management performance factor were identified and their weight were analyzed throughout the expert interview and survey. Furthermore, an excel-based computerized tool was developed in order to facilitate the evaluation process. If this tool can be developed in more detail and be used as the method to control waste management at a project level for the future, it is expected that this tool can play an important role in the body of knowledge of environmental management in construction industry.
Purpose: The standard tool for the pattern identification is used for identifying patterns in patients using a questionnaire. The purpose of this study is to reorganize the standard tool for the pattern identification of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) developed in 2017 and to analyze the reliability and validity of the standard tool for pattern identification by applying it to GERD patients. Methods: To reorganize the standard tool for the pattern identification of GERD developed in the previous study, we searched the literature in the main databases, OASIS (Oriental Medicine Advanced Searching Integrated System) and CNKI (China National Knowledge Infrastructure). We added the search results to the data used in the previous study and went through the reorganizing courses, such as evaluating the validity of the translation, the Delphi technique, and a small survey. After reorganization, the patients who visited the Kyunghee University Korean Medicine Center for GERD symptoms were provided the questionnaire, including the reorganized standard tool for pattern identification. We analyzed the survey results to evaluate their reliability and validity. Results: Fifty patients completed the questionnaire. Reliability analysis results showed a pattern identification match rate of 86%, Cronbach's α coefficient of 0.834, and intraclass correlation coefficient of 0.907. The Mann - Whitney U test and logistic regression were implemented to check the relations between the survey questions and pattern identification results; the Pearson correlation, compared with other scales, showed a moderate score. Conclusion: We reorganized the standard tool for the pattern identification of GERD to be updated on current issues and so that it is easily used. The analysis results of the questionnaire showed that the reorganized standard tool had high reliability and moderate validity.
This study firstly developed a tool for evaluating performance requirements of automatic vehicle identification (AVI) techniques. A microscopic traffic simulator, Paramics, was employed to investigate the effects of AVI performances on the accuracy of estimating section travel times. Mote Carlo simulation approach was incorporated into Paramics to conduct systematic evaluations of identifying required AVI performances. The proposed method in this study can serve as a logical and necessary precursor to field implementation of a variety of AVI techniques toward achieving more reliable traffic information.

The 'focus group' is a well established methodology to evaluate the characters and features of the mother group qualitatively. In outcomes based engineering education, it is a key issue to select a proper tool for evaluating the achievement of outcomes. Based on understanding of the method. A 'focus group' was introduced to evaluate the outcomes qualitatively in the engineering education. The issues in the procedure, implementation and analysis were studied. The guide manual for specific outcomes (life-long learning, contemporary issue, cooperation world-widely) was also suggested.
Kansei engineering or image technology is a tool to analyze relation between product design components and the impression or feeling of human for physical products. This paper attempts to construct the designer\`s aid tool for developing corporate identity(CI) symbol mark based on the hybrid Kansei engineering. It combines the forward Kansei engineering for translating consumer\`s feeling into design components of CI symbol mark and the backward Kansei engineering for evaluating consumer\`s feeling for CI symbol mark. The semantic differential(SD) evaluation experiment is carried out to find the relations between image and design. The backward Kansei engineering system is modelled by fuzzy neural network. This research is expected to contribute to the development of CI symbol mark that correspond to comsumer\`s image.
Purpose: This study was to develop a client health status outcome evaluation instrument, and examine content validity, reliability, construct validity, and the acceptability of this instrument. In the end milling process, the information of the surface errors plays an important role in adaptive control systems for precision machining. As the measuring accuracy of the surface errors directly matches the control's, it is an important factor for evaluating the performance of the system. In order to obtain the surface errors, the prediction using the cutting force, torque, motor power etc. is frequently practiced owing to the easiness in measurement. In the implementation of the prediction, the information on the cutting depths make it concrete and precise. Actually the axial depth of cut limits the range of the calculation. In general, it is not easy to know the cutting depths due to irregular shape of workpieces, inaccurate positioning of them on the table of machine tool, and machining error in the previous cutting. In addition to, even if cutting depths are informed, it is difficult to match the individual position of the cutter on the varying shape of the work material. This work suggests an algorithm estimating the cutting depths based on cutting force and makes it precise to predict the surface error. The proposed algorithm can be applied in more extensive cutting situations, such as presence of the tool wear, change of the work material hardness, etc.
Purpose: This research was conducted to evaluate, analyze, and determine the limitation of the anesthesia that is used in there covery room in order to provide the foundation for developing the effectiveness of it. Method: There covery records of this study were collected from 41 hospitals in Seoul, Kyung Kii-Do, and Inchon province. The post anesthetic recovery records consisted of the evaluation of type, evaluative items, frequency, time, score and $SaO_2$. These records were collected from September to December of 2005. Results: The most commonly used post anesthetic evaluation tool was Alderete Score, which was used in 73% of hospitals. The second was Aldrete Score with $SaO_2$(17%). Also, 5% of the hospitals used the modified AS form. There were 2.5% of the hospitals applying the adult and child in the evaluation separately. Also, the last 2.5% of the hospitals did not use AS but measured BP, pulse, respiration, temperature, and $SaO_2$ with observing nausea, vomiting, urinary retention, backache, laryngitis, shock, and neurologic assessment. Conclusion: It is necessary to develop a post-anesthetic recovery evaluation tool including the application of $SaO_2$, so that the early-diagnosis of hypoxia can be possible. In addition, it is necessary to develop a post- anesthetic recovery evaluating method that can distinguish a difference between adults and children.

This paper presents the characteristics of cutting fluid atomization due to its application method. In this study three different application methods; nozzle, jet, mist type is adopted for evaluating the cutting fluid's effect in terms of machinability and environmental consciousness. Cutting fluids are widely used to cool and lubricate the cutting zone in machining process. Cutting fluids mist via atomization in spin-off process can be affected to health risk. To satisfy the increasing concern of health and environment problem and keep the machinability or productivity it is necessary to establish the resonable strategy of cutting fluid usage and optimal control. Tool wear and cutting fluid diffusion rate in the air were measured as machinability index and environmental index in a few turing operation. Through this basic approach it can be also provide the optimization of cutting process and improvement of machine tool design in achieving environmentally conscious machining.
