The properties of concrete produced by ready mixed concrete company in Busan were measured. Because the concrete was mixed with blast furnace slag and fly ash etc., the compressive, tensile strength and chloride ion diffusion coefficient were lower than OPC concrete even though the specified concrete strength was same. If the durability about salt attack were satisfied, the concrete of lower specified concrete strength would be adopted to concrete mixing design. FEM analysis was carried out to predict the life time expectancy.

The pole side crash caused fatal injury by comparison with other crash impact mode such as frontal and rear crash. EuroNCAP proposed the pole side crash test using WorldSID(World Side Impact Dummy). The objective of this study is to develop the pole side impact sled test using dummy rib deflection between crash and sled test. In the pursuit of this purpose, we fabricated new pole side sled buck and test preliminary pole sled using ES-2re. Through this, we found the sled acceleration pulse scale. Hardness and thickness of the EPP affects the rib deflection. We conducted the pole sled test using WorldSID based on the preliminary results. As a result, rib deflection was shown to correlate well between crash test and pole side sled test.

사람의 언어를 이해하는 자연언어처리 시스템을 개발하기 위해서는 의미처리를 위한 지식 베이스(knowledge base)가 필요하다. 지금까지 사람이 가진 지식 베이스를 컴퓨터에 도입하려는 많은 노력을 기울이고 있고 그 결과물로 온톨로지(ontology)와 시소러스(thesaurus)가 만들어지고 있다. 외국에서는 지식 베이스의 중요성을 알고 많은 연구를 수행하고 있으며 그 대표적인 사례들에는 Roget's Thesaurus, WordNet, EDR 개념사전, CYC, Euro WordNet 등이 있다. 이 중에서 가장 대표적이며 많은 활용을 보이는 것이 Princeton 대학의 WordNet이다. WordNet은 인간의 어휘지식에 대한 심리 언어학적인 연구의 결과물로써 심리학자와 언어학자들에 의해 10여 년 동안 구축되고 있는 영어에 대한 어휘데이터베이스이다. 본 논문에서는 WordNet을 기반으로 명사에 대해서 영한사전과 국어사전을 이용하여 구축한 한국어 워드넷을 소개하구 구축시 고려한 기본지침을 소개하도록 하겠다.

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of community-based rehabilitation (CBR) program on activities of daily livings (ADLs), quality of life and assistive technology satisfaction for disabled adults in South Korea. Fourteen community-dwelling subjects were participated in a home-based rehabilitation program which performed once a month for 2 months. The outcome measures included Modified Barthel Index (MBI) for assessing ADLs, EuroQol five-dimensions questionnaire (EQ-5D) for quality of life (QoL) and Quebec User Evaluation of Satisfaction with assistive Technology 2.0 (QUEST 2.0) for assistive technology. Significant improvements in ADLs, quality of life and assistive technology satisfaction were observed after the program. This study indicated that community-based rehabilitation program is an effective method for improving ADLs, quality of life and assistive technology satisfaction for adults with disabilities.

This paper presents a method for the load capacity assesment of reinforcement concrete deep beams using nonlinear finite element analysis. A computer program, named RCAHEST (Reinforced Concrete Analysis in Higher Evaluation System Technology), for the analysis of reinforced concrete structures was used. From the results, determine the reliability index for the failure base from the Euro Code. Then, calculated additional reduction coefficient to satisfy the goals from the reliability analysis. The proposed numerical method for the load capacity assesment of reinforced concrete deep beams is verified by comparison with the others methods

Euro form which constructs the present RC structures is used widely by the form method of construction of a wall type structure had much consumption of the human power and equipments by the assembly and the demolition, and the complement was required according to demerit with much leakage of cement paste by the form joint, so it developed the new pillar type form system. On the study, in order to consider the modification characteristic by lateral pressure which does the influence most important for the new developed pillar type form system performance, research of a paper manufactured a miniature wall form model, and advanced performance evaluation focusing on lateral pressure. Moreover, lateral pressure evaluation of a new style system was actually gone on through the on-site experiment about a part of wall type srutcture spot for a model experiment and its result on the foundation which is the purpose in evaluating on-site application possibility propriety at the foundation time of wall type concrete structure construction of a pillar type form system.

In this study, we test the 3 properties low hydrated heat as binder, and also utilized the hydrated heat disparity construction method to decrease the cracks of the mass concrete caused by hydrated heat. The result showed by using the two methods narrowly decreased the cracks. And we ensured that during the mass concrete pouring, the cracks caused by hydrated heat could be reduced by utilizing the new construction method.

The present paper reviews the shear design (of reinforced concrete beam) provisions of four different national codes and proposes a new but simplified shear strength empirical expression, incorporating variables such as compressive strength of concrete, percentage of longitudinal and vertical steel/s, depth of beam in terms of shear span-to-depth ratio, for reinforced concrete (RC) beams without shear reinforcement. The expression is based on the experimental investigation on RC beams without shear reinforcement. Further, the comparisons of shear design provisions of four National codes viz.: (i) IS 456-2000, (iii) BS 8110-1997, (iv) ACI 318-2002 (v) EuroCode-2-2002 and the proposed expression for the prediction of shear capacity of normal beam/s, have been made by solving a numerical example. The results of the numerical example worked out suggest that there is need for revision in the shear design procedure of different codes. Also, the proposed expression is less conservative among the IS, BS & Eurocode.

Rockey slopes adjacent to railways are disclosed from severe weathering and hazard of failure of themselves. Consequently it causes directly rockfall or landsliding on the railway. Conventional solutions-rigid system like rocksheds, shotcrete, retaining walls, etc to these causes are limited to protect train, rail, our properties and lives from the harmful attack - rockfall. debris flow and sliding. Flexible concept for solutions with passive and active type method based on Euro Code 7 capable of high energy absorption and light materials are rapidly replacing the rigid systems with natural friendly, early installation, cost and time saving and reducing danger in works all over the world.

다채널 시각비교 수신기(R100-40T, Euro-80)를 이용한 GPS C/A 코드 시각비교 데이터와 Ashtech Z12T 수신기를 이용한 P3 코드 시각비교 데이터를 통합 모니터링함으로서, 간편하게 시각비교 결과를 확인 할 수 있게 GUI(Graphic User Interface) 환경으로 구현하였다. 수신기들은 현재 KRISS(Korea Research Institute of Standards and Science)에서 사용 중인 위성이용 시각비교 수신기들이다. 본 시각비교 통합 모니터링 프로세스를 통해서 GPS C/A code 시각비교 데이터와 P3 code 시각비교 데이터 각각을 비교 분석함으로써 시각비교 결과의 신뢰성을 검증하는데 사용한다.
