고분자 전해질과 고분자 나노복합체를 활용한 올레핀 촉진수송 분리막에 대한 총설 (Review on Facilitated Olefin Transport Membranes Utilizing Polymer Electrolytes and Polymer Nanocomposites)

  • 본 총설에서는 고분자와 은염으로 구성된 고분자 전해질 분리막과 장시간 안정성을 해결하기 위한 방안들이 정리되었다. 특히 이온성 액체를 활용하여 $AgNO_3$를 새로운 운반체로 사용하기 위한 방안, 새로운 고분자 매트릭스로서 poly(ethylene phthalate) (PEP)를 활용하는 방안과 가장 최근 알루미늄 염을 활용하여 운반체의 안정성을 부여하는 연구결과들이 정리되었다. 올레핀 촉진수송을 위한 고분자 나노복합체 분리막의 경우, 운반체인 은 나노입자 표면을 극성화시킬 수 있는 전자수용체의 종류와 특징들이 소개되었으며, 최근 투과도 성능을 향상시킬 수 있는 연구결과들이 정리되었다.

Electrical Properties of Organic/Inorganic Hybrid Composites for Insulation Materials

  • In this work, the surface of inorganic fillers were modified with some functional groups such as stearic acid, aliphatic long chain, vinylsilane and aminosilane to control the interaction between inorganic fillers and polymer matrix. Ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymers (EVA) with various amount of vinyl-acetate and copolyether-ester elastomer were used as polymer matrix. The addition of inorganic fillers increases flame retardancy, but results in steep drop of electrical and mechanical properties, which may be caused by the defects in the interface between organic/inorganic hybrid composites. The hybrid composites are found to show better mechanical properties and higher volume resistivities as inorganic fillers are well dispersed and have good adhesion with polymer matrix. Also, the most effective type of functional group coated on fillers depends on the chemical structure of polymer.

  • So far the most practical polymer electrolytes are gel systems, which contain a polymeric matrix, a lithium salt, and aprotic organic solvents. This has met with success but has had disadvantages that the addition of solvents promotes deterioration of the electrolyte's mechanical properties and increases its reactivity towards the lithium metal anode.[1](omitted)

  • Rod-coil amphiphilic block copolymers, PALG-PEOs, poly(alkyl $\alpha$, L-glutamate-co-ethylene oxide)s, were successfully synthesized in three steps: 1) esterification of L-glutamic acid, 2) synthesis of ${\gamma}$-alkyl L-gultamate N-carboxyanhydride, and 3) polymerization of NCA monomers. These molecules form polymeric micelles with the hydrophobic core and hydrophilic corona in aqueous solution, which were characterized by light scattering and static fluorescence measurement.

친수성 Poly(ethylene glycol)을 이용한 프란루카스트 고체분산체의 제조 및 특성 분석 (Preparation and Characterization of Poly(ethylene glycol) Based Pranlukast Solid Dispersion)

  • 본 연구에서는 대표적인 난용성 약물이며, 경구용 천식 치료제 중 하나인 pranlukast의 용해도 및 용출성 개선 제제 개발을 위해 친수성 고분자인 poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG)와 고분자 계면활성제인 poloxamer를 사용하여 열용융법(HM)과 용매증발법(SE)에 의한 고체분산체를 제조하였다. 고체분산체 내 약물의 결정성 변화를 DSC, PXRD로 분석한 결과, 약물의 결정성이 크게 감소하였고, 부분적으로 무정형으로 변화하였음을 확인하였다. 용출시험 및 용해도 분석결과, 고유 약물에 비해 용해도와 용출 속도가 크게 증가하였다. Pranlukast, PEG, poloxamer가 1:5:1의 조성으로 열용융법에 의해 제조된 고체분산체가 가장 우수한 용해도 및 용출속도 향상 결과를 보였다. 결과적으로 PEG과 poloxamer를 이용한 고체분산체 제제는 난용성 약물인 pranlukast의 용해도와 생체이용률을 개선하는데 유용하게 응용될 것으로 기대된다.

  • Poly (ethylene 2, 6-naphthalate) (PEN) has been used for a high performance engineering plastics such as fiber, film, and packaging, because of excellent physical properties and outstanding gas barrier characteristics [1-2]. However, the application of PEN is limited because PEN exhibits a relatively high melt viscosity. Recently, many researches for organic/inorganic composites by applying nano-particles to the polymer matrix have been carried out [3], and the nano-particles exhibited greatly improved mechanical and rheological properties [4].   • The in situ composites based on poly(ethylene 2,6-naphthalate) and thermotropic liquid crystalline polymer (LCP) have been an area of increasing interest and study, since LCP exhibits high chemical stabilities and excellent thermo mechanical properties such as high strength and modulus.   • Crosslinked poly(ethylene glycol)s (PEGs) were prepared by ultraviolet irradiation of low molar mass, liquid PEGs in the presence of benzophenone (BP) as a photoinitiator. The networks obtained have been characterized by DSC, IR, and contact angle measurements, and their water absorption and equilibrium swelling have been examined. The percent of gel formed and degree of swelling of the networks in water were dependent on the amount of BP in the reaction mixture, irradiation time and molar mass of PEG. Gel fraction yield exceeded 84%, and equilibrium swelling in water varied from 49 to 244%.

  • The structure and properties of blends of ethylene-propylene-diene terpolymer(EPDM) and polyolefin blends have been investigated. The rheology and tensile properties of the EPDM/HDPE(high density polyethylene), EPDM/PP(polypropylene) binary and EPDM/PP/HDPE ternary blends were studied along with morphological analyses. Those properties were affected by preferential interaction of EPDM on HDPE, compared to that of EPDM on PP, for the binary blends. The preferetial interaction may stem from the molecular characteristics of EPDM to possess more ethylene units than propylene units in the elastomer. The EPDM played a role as compatibilizer for HDPE and PP in the EPDM/PP/HDPE ternary blends.
