포토에칭법에 의한 Digitron용 Grid제조에 관한 연구 (The Fabrication of Digitron Grid by Photoetching Process)

  • A photoetching process is widely used for small and high precision parts in machinery, electronic and semi-conductor industries. One of the high precision parts, grid is very important part of digitron which use electron display, and it is fabricated by only photoetching process because of high precision. In this study, to develop high precision digitron grid, characteristics of etching solution were investigated with electrochemical test, that was potentiodynamic test and immersion test in the ferric chloride solution and added some additives. Based on the electrochemical etching test, grid was fabricated by continuous photoetching process at various etching condition. From the result of measured line width and etching depth under-cut and etching factor were calculated. For the fabrication of 25$\mu\textrm{m}$ line width, optimal etching condition was etching temperature 40~$45^{\circ}C$, spray pressure 1.5kg/$\textrm{cm}^2$ and etching time 3~4min.

입계부식시험에 영향을 주는 시험변수에 관한 연구 (A Study on Test Variables Effected on Grain Boundary Etching Test)

  • Recently the non-destructive test technique which uses the grain boundary etching characteristics owing to the variation of material structures has been proposed. However, during in-serviced GEM test there are a lot of variables such as the changes of temperature and concentration of etching solution, the roughness condition of surface polished etc.. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the influences of these test variables on GEM test results in order to establish a reliable and sensitive of GEM evaluation technique. The experiments are conducted in various solution temperatures, 10$\^{C}$, 15$\^{C}$, 20$\^{C}$, and 25$\^{C}$ and in 70% and 100% concentrations of that, and in various surface roughnesses polished by #800, #2000, and 0.3㎛ alumina powder. Through the test with variables, it is verified that the decrease of temperature and concentration of etching solution and the coarsened surface roughness by not using polishing cloth and powder induce some badly and/or greatly influences on GEM test results like grain boundary etching width(W$\_$GB) and intersecting point ratio(N$\_$i/N$\_$0/). Therefore, to get reliable and good GEM test results, it must be prepared the surface of specimen polished by polishing cloth and 0.3㎛ alumina powder and the saturated picric acid solution having 25$\^{C}$ and be maintained the constant temperature(25$\^{C}$) during GEM test.

법랑질에 대한 total etching과 self-etching 접착제의 산부식 효과와 미세인장결합강도 (THE ETCHING EFFECTS AND MICROTENSILE BOND STRENGTH OF TOTAL ETCHING AND SELF-ETCHING ADHESIVE SYSTEM ON UNGROUND ENAMEL)

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the etching effects and bond strength of total etching and self-etching adhesive system on unground enamel using scanning electron microscopy and microtensile bond strength test. The buccal coronal unground enamel from human extracted molars were prepared using low-speed diamond saw. Scotchbond Multi-Purpose (group SM). Clearfil SE Bond (group SE), or Adper Prompt L-Pop (group LP) were applied to the prepared teeth. and the blocks of resin composite (Filtek Z250) were built up incrementally. Resin tag formation was evaluated by scanning electron microscopy. after removal of enamel surface by acid dissolution and dehydration. For microtensile bond strength test. resin-bonded teeth were sectioned to give a bonded surface area of $1\textrm{mm}^2$. Microtensile bond strength test was perfomed. The results of this study were as follows. 1. A definite etching pattern was observed in Scotchbond Multi-Purpose group. 2. Self-etching groups were characterized as shallow and irregular etching patterns. 3. The results (mean) of microtensile bond strength were SM: 26.55 MPa, SE: 18.15 MPa, LP: 15.57 MPa. SM had significantly higher microtensile bond strength than 8E and PL (p < 0.05). but there was no significant differance between SE and PL.

White etching layer의 두께변화에 따른 접촉피로수명 평가 (Contact Fatigue Analysis of White Etching Layer according to Thickness Variation)

  • White Etching Layer(WEL) is a phenomenon that occurs on the surface of rail due to wheel/rail interactions such as excessive braking and acceleration. Rolling Contact Fatigue(RCF) cracks on the surface of rail have been found to be associated with WEL. In this study, we have investigated RCF damages of white etching layer using twin disc testing and fatigue analysis. These tests consist of wheel flat tests and rolling contact fatigue tests. WEL has been simulated by wheel flat test. It has been founded that the WEL with a bright featureless contrast is formed on the surface of specimen by etching. Rolling contact fatigue test was conducted by using flat specimens with the WEL generated by the wheel flat test. It has been observed that two types of cracks occur within the specimen. The contact fatigue test was simulated in 2D elastic-plastic FE simulations. Based on loading cycles obtained from the finite element analysis, the fatigue life analysis according to the thickness variation of WEL was carried out. The longest fatigue life was observed from the thickness of 20um.

불산 처리 시간이 IPS Empress® 2 세라믹의 2축 굴곡강도에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구 (The Effect of Etching Time on the Biaxial Flexural Strength of IPS Empress® 2 Ceramic)

  • Fluoric acid etching is an essential procedure in cementation of reinforced ceramics to tooth surface. But there have been few studies about the changes of surface structure and flexural strength of IPS $Empress^{(R)}$ 2 ceramic according to the etching time. The objectives of this study were to examine the surface structure changes and the difference in biaxial flexural strength of IPS $Empress^{(R)}$ 2 ceramic according to various etching times. Sixty one disk-shaped specimens of IPS $Empress^{(R)}$ 2 ceramic($14mm{\times}1.2mm$) were fabricated for the biaxial flexural strength test and SEM analysis according to the manufacturer's recommendations. Sixty specimens were divided into 6 groups(n=10) according to the time of HF acid etching(0, 20, 180 and 300s)and silane/resin cement application. Each disk was loaded using a piston-on-3 ball biaxial configuration in a universal testing machine. The failure loads(N) were recorded, and the biaxial flexural strength for each disk was calculated. A one-way analysis of variance and independent t-test on transformed fracture strength data were used to determine significant differences between groups. The groups of no cementation showed a trend toward progressive weakening with increasing the etching time. However, this was not statistically significant at p=0.05 level. The groups of resin cementation exhibited no apparent trend in their mean strength values. SEM photomicrographs showed very different results of etching. Within the conditions of this study, alteration of surface topography by acid etching does not have a deleterious effect on the biaxial flexural strength of IPS $Empress^{(R)}$ 2 ceramic.

공정 디자인에 따른 클래드강 맞대기 용접부의 기계적 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Mechanical Properties of Butt Welding Zone of Clad Steel According to the Process Design)

  • In this study, some considerations have been suggested in developing on-site techniques to evaluate the sensitization of stainless steels. Electrochemical potentiokinetic reactivation (EPR) technique is known to be a candidate tool for field applications since it enables quantitative assessment in reasonable test time, compared to oxalic etching (ditch) technique. The on-site application of the test method imposes additional restrictions on the selection of the test method (for example, minimum surface preparation requirement, insensitivity to testing temperature, etc.). The EPR and etching techniques have been compared in order to sensitization of stainless steel structures. It has been widely reported that the maximum sensitivity in the welded structure of stainless steel is shown at heat-affected zone (HAZ) than weldments with cast structure. In this work, sectioned weldments and external surfaces were investigated to reveal the degree of sensitization by the etching and the results were compared with those of EPR test. The EPR test showed little sensitivity to surface roughness and test temperature.

Microtensile bond strength of silorane-based composite specific adhesive system using different bonding strategies

  • Objectives: The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of pre-etching on the bond strength of silorane-based composite specific adhesive system to dentin. Materials and Methods: Thirty human molars were randomly divided into 5 groups according to the different bonding strategies. For teeth restored with silorane-based composite (Filtek Silorane, 3M ESPE), the specific self-etching adhesive system (Adhesive System P90, 3M ESPE) was used with and without pre-etching (Pre-etching/Silorane and Silorane groups). Teeth restored with methacrylate based-composite (Filtek Z250, 3M ESPE) were hybridized with the two-step self-etching system (Clearfil SE Bond, Kuraray), with and without pre-etching (Pre-etching/Methacrylate and Methacrylate groups), or three-step adhesive system (Adper Scotchbond Multi-Purpose, 3M ESPE) (Three-step/Methacrylate group) (n = 6). The restored teeth were sectioned into stick-shaped test specimens ($1.0{\times}1.0mm$), and coupled to a universal test machine (0.5 mm/min) to perform microtensile testing. Results: Pre-etching/Methacrylate group presented the highest bond strength values, with significant difference from Silorane and Three-step/Methacrylate groups (p < 0.05). However, it was not significantly different from Pre-etching/Silorane and Methacrylate groups. Conclusions: Pre-etching increased bond strength of silorane-based composite specific adhesive system to dentin.

부가적 산부식 시간에 따른 자가 산부식 접착제의 법랑질 전단결합강도 (SHEAR BOND STRENGTH OF SELF-ETCHING ADHESIVES TO TOOTH ENAMEL WITH ADDITIONAL ETCHING)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 유치와 영구치의 법랑질에 자가 산부식 접착제 적용 전 부가적인 산부식 시간을 달리 하였을 때, 전단결합강도에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위함이다. 각각 65개의 발거된 건전한 유치와 영구치 협, 설면 법랑질 시편을 제작하고 두 종류의 자가 산부식 접착제를 적용하였다. 실험군은 $Clearfil^{TM}$ SE bond, $Adper^{TM}$ $Prompt^{TM}$ $L-pop^{TM}$으로 처리한 두 개 군으로 나누고, 이를 다시 산부식 시간에 따라 여섯 군(0, 5, 10, 15, 20, 30초)으로 분류하였다. 대조군으로는 total-etching system인 $Adper^{TM}$ $Scotchbond^{TM}$ Multi-purpose plus를 사용하였다. 접착제 처리면을 복합레진으로 충전하고 24시간 경과 후 전단결합강도를 측정하고 Mann-Whitney test와 Kruskal-Wallis test를 사용하여 통계분석 하였다. 결과는 자가 산부식 접착제를 적용한 군은 유치, 영구치 모두에서 total etching system에 비해 낮은 전단 결합강도를 보였다. 자가 산부식 접착제 사용 군내에서 산부식을 추가로 시행하였을 때 유치와 영구치 모두에서 결합강도가 증가하였으며, 10초 이상 산부식을 시행한 경우 결합력의 차이는 없는 것으로 나타났다. 유치와 영구치간 결합력의 차이는 인정되지 않았다. 결론적으로, 자가 산부식 접착제의 법랑질에 대한 전단결합강도는 유치, 영구치 모두에서 10초 이상의 부가적 산부식이 결합력의 증가에 유리하게 작용하는 것으로 나타났다.

  • 본 논문에서는 미세피치 프로브 카드 제작을 위한 S 모양의 일체형 외팔보 프로브 형성방법에 대하여 기술하였다. 마세 피치 프로브를 위하여 Deep RIE etching을 이용하여 실리콘 트렌치 안에 일체형 프로브 빔과 탑을 형성하는 방법을 사용하였고, 피라미드 팁의 형성을 위하여 KOH 및 TMAH 습식식각을 이용하였으며, 습식식각시 방향성을 가지는 실리콘 웨이퍼에서도 휘어진 형태의 프로브 빔을 형성할 수 있는 건식 식각 및 습식식각 방법을 제시하였다. 따라서 제작된 외팔보 형태의 프로브는 디렘(DRAM), 플레시 메모리 (Flash memory) 용 프로브 카드 제작에 사용될 뿐만 아니라 RF 소자용 프로브 카드, 아이씨 테스트 소켓 (IC test socket)용 프로브 탐침에도 사용 될 것이다.

표면 불산처리가 레진시멘트와 지르코니아 하부구조물의 전단결합강도에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Hydrofluoric Acid Etching on Shear Bond Strength between Resin Cement and Zirconia cores)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 불화 수소산 에칭 처리가 안정화된 정방 정계 지르코니아 다결정 (Y-TZP)의 결합 강도에 미치는 영향을 평가하는 것이었다. 4 그룹의 지르코니아 - 수지 시멘트 시편을 준비 하였다. 1) ZGS 그룹 (zirconia, no treatment) 2) ZGSH 그룹 (zirconia, hydrofluoric acid etching treatment) 3) H-ZGS 그룹 (Hybrid zirconia, no treatment) 4) H-ZGSH 그룹 (Hybrid zirconia, hydrofluoric acid etching treatment). 지르코니아와 도재 사이의 전단 결합 강도는 Instron Universal Testing Machine (ModelBBP-500, Instron Corporation, Kyunggi, Korea)을 사용하여 측정 하였다. 독립표본 t-test와 two-way ANOVA (${\alpha}=0.05$)를 사용하여 데이터를 통계적으로 분석했다. 세라믹 - 수지 시멘트 결합강도는 불화 수소산 에칭 처리에 영향을 받았다 (p <0.05). 파단 표면의 디지털 현미경 검사는 불화 수소산 에칭 처리한 표면처리 된 지르코니아 및 하이브리드 지르코니아 그룹에서 접착성 및 응집성 파절이 동시에 발생하는 결함을 보였다.
