The purpose of this study is to estimate the economic value of boat fishing experience marine tourism activity in Jeju Island's Chagwido. The economic value is estimated as consumer surplus using count data models including the truncated Poisson model and the truncated negative binominal distribution model. This study collects the effective 504 questionnaires from boat fishing experience tourists in Jeju Island's Chagwido. The truncated negative binominal distribution model was statistically more suitable and valid than other models. The truncated negative binominal distribution model was applied to estimate consumer surplus as economic value from boat fishing experience tourism activity in Jeju Island's Chagwido. A consumer surplus value per trip was estimated as about 209,900 won. The annual economic value from boat fishing experience tourism activity was estimated as 273,700 won in Jeju Island's Chagwido. Consequently, boat fishing experience marine tourism activity has a very large economic value in Jeju Island.

The purpose of this study is to estimate the economic value of skin scuba marine tourism activity in Jeju Island. The economic value is estimated as consumer surplus using count data models including the truncated Poisson model and the truncated negative binominal distribution model. This study collects the effective 369 questionnaires from skin scuba marine tourists through three times in Jeju Island. The truncated Poisson model was statistically more suitable and valid than other models. The truncated Poisson model was applied to estimate consumer surplus as economic value from skin scuba in Jeju Island. A consumer surplus value per trip was estimated as about 4,081,633 won. The annual economic value from skin scuba marine tourism activity was estimated as 8,428,571 won in Jeju Island. Consequently, skin scuba marine tourism activity has a very large economic value in Jeju Island.

Data can be considered a core driver of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and databases are needed to create value by efficiently obtaining, storing and analyzing the data. However, there are currently no adequate valuation methods to handle databases. This study aims first, to understand databases as the subject of valuation and analyze value drivers of databases, and second, to propose a database valuation model based on this finding. To this end, we derive value drivers of databases from the characteristics and value criteria of databases observed in previous studies. Based on survey data from 396 database service firms we verify the value drivers through linear regression analysis. We find that the annual growth rate in database capacity and the data types positively affect sales of databases and offer ways to utilize them when estimating the cash flow, which is the variable to apply the discounted cash flow method-based income approach. This study contributes empirical insights into how to valuate databases considering their value drivers.

Studies upto date for estimating the reliability by means of one accarate value contain risks of many erroneous options. The objective of this paper is to presents a fault tree analueis model on the basis of the membership functions of trape Zoidal fuzzy number after imposing an interval of Confidence on the residual possibility theory. The results from the model Show that the value of Stability was reliable.

We consider the problem of estimating the scale parameter of the Weibull distribution based on multiply Type-II censored samples. We propose two estimators by using the approximate maximum likelihood estimation method for Weibull and extreme value distributions. The proposed estimators are compared in the sense of the mean squared error.

The shape of an M-estimation function is generally determined in the sense of either/both maximizing efficiency of an M-estimator at the model or/and bounding the influence function of an M-estimator. We propose an empirical method of choosing a value of the bending constant in Huber's ${\psi}-function$, which is the most widely used M-estimation function when estimating the location parameter.

Agricultural land use generally shows specific temporal characteristics of NDVI obtained from satellite data. In terms of winter wheat, a higher value compared with other land use types in May and a considerably low value in June could be discriminative features of temporal change of NDVI. In this study, the author examined methods for estimating winter wheat sown area in sub-pixel level of coarse resolution satellite data using temporal characteristics of NDVI. Application of the methods to the major grain production area in China exhibited properly a spatial distribution pattern of winter wheat sown area.

The main objectives of this dissertation is to propose a forth generation index C for the case where the target value T is not equal to the midpoint of the specification limits (i.e. asymmetric tolerances), and show that this index is more sensitive compared to the standard PCI's in detacting small shifts of the process mean from the target value. In conclusion, in this dissertation , a new methods for estimating a measure of process capability for non-normally distributed variable data is proposed using the percentage nonconforming.
